Nothing new to report really, everything has stayed the same as far as light, heat and watering.
I'm still using the formulex once a week and I guess that's what has caused the increase in growth, it's really exciting to see her coming on now.
The only thing I have been wondering is, when's best to start pruning and maybe loose a few of the lower leaves? Im guessing the leaves with only 3 fingers aren't needed? Think I'll wait to get some advice before I start hacking anything away from her. Lol.
@bobo, thanks for the advice. I'll bring the light down a bit and see how it goes, the only thing that worries me is the light gives off a lot of heat, which is why it was so high.
@Don_Pablo, good advice, good airflow is crucial for the plants, not only it strengthens the branches and the stalks, it cools down the area and makes it a bit tougher for any pests to make their homes.
@Totter, The below worked for me!
If you have a desk fan or something of the sort, try having it blowing across the plants, which will strengthen the stem and keep the temps down. Alternatively, have it blowing in between the light and plant to keep temperatures down but still have the light closer.
@bobo420. Thanks for the comment dude. It's just the one plant though. I posted the 3 week diary a bit late. Also, in your opinion would now be a good time to top the plant?
@Totter, she doesn't need much nutrients for the time being, so no need to overdue it, you can also lower your light considerably, around 45-50cm would be fine ;)
She's been coming along nicely this week. I'm really pleased I was lucky enough to get a grow tent this week. So I'm now using the 400w hps bulb and can keep the temperature under control. I'm starting to see bud sites appearing now. Really excited to see how this turns out.
Happy growing.
Looks like it's getting close to the end I would say like a week or 2 more till harvest. Keep an eye on the tricomes till they start to amber and harvest.
Start flushing with water and also add some grandma's molasses like 3 tsp to a gallon so you can make your plants look more cheesy lol jk more tricomes will come out good luck
Oh and try not to move the plants in and out of its environment you put into shock with the different light spectrums blues and reds
Yo, I feel the same way about topping lol. I hate cutting anything off my precious little plants. But, at the end of the day, it's a time-tested way to boost yields, isn't it?
