Day 1 - Germinating straight in soil, I have heard a lot of good things about doing this so I figured I would give it a try for this time.
Excited to see how quickly and colourful this strain will turn out.
Day 4 - All seeds sprouted
First grow with my new Mars Hydro TSW2000, so far working great and really liking the built in dimmer. Having the dimmer is really helping me dial in the amount of light needed for the seedlings so they dont stretch out too much which I have had happen with my old Optic 2 while trying to get good coverage to 4 plants.
One plant is lagging behind still, I have looked at other diaries for this strain and it does appear some are a 8 week and some are 11+/-, might just have a mix.
Started LST this week, I think I have the timing down and I went with sturdier wire ties coated in foam this time instead of pipe cleaners.
By the end of the week some of the side branches are starting to really grow out, and I installed the net, I will keep using the wire to keep things in place until I can start utilizing the net. This net seems like it might be a silly buy because the spacing on the grid is just really big but who knows.
This is supposed to be a fast growing strain, and not a big yield so I know trying to train as much as i can will be a major key to the success of this grow.
Light turned up to about 75% now, plain pH tap water.
Week 4 - I have seen a lot of growth, side branching has really stretched and been trained to keep growing out under the net and keep things at the same height. Light penetration has been very good with light at 75% +/-
By the end of the week all the plants have started to show signs of going into flower, and I have even seen some colour change happening around the flower sites.
I like the use of the scrog net and will keep this for future grows, but I have researched some guides and pictures online on how to make your own net that have a sturdier netting to them. The net I am using is elastic and doesn't have a good spread the distance between the lines is too big and the plants are actually able to push on the lines and grow vertically.
Purples starting to really show through heading into flower, really excited for this. Will keep trying to adjust the plant in the scrog net as needed but there isn't much movement in the branches now like there was just a few days ago.
Top dressed with power bloom 2-8-4 and all purpose 4-4-4 and a 2:1 ration and did a big watering to help get everything mixed in and started.
Colours are really starting to come out nicely on the plants, and I am surprised that the colour mutation with the leaves on the front right plant are still continuing through flower and with the purple coming through.
Front left still visibly much smaller and still showing no colour, this was a 3+1 pack wondering if this smaller and no purple one is a bonus seed but not quite the same as the rest.
Either way going well, stretched more then I thought certain ones would continue to do.
