1st grow in a converted fridge. Got a temp controller with tube heater to stabalise temps during lights off, 1 pc inlet fan and one exhaust fan. Anyone have any hints or advice fire away. Watered once towards the end of 1st week with ph'd water. Will probably not add any nutes till start of 3rd week. Sprouted on 14.2

After watering on day 9, I was trying to brush excess water off the leaves to stop burning and I took a new leaf off the new sprouts at node 3. After checking on day 10 doesn't seem to have stunted plant in any way. Increase in water consumption apparent, watered on day 7 and again on day 9. Will add more pics as week progresses Day 13- litre of ph'd water added. The missing leaf from node 3 can be seen clearly, not worried though as node 4 is sprouting nicely

Start of week 3, 4th node leaves are growing well and 5th have sprouted well. Isn't growing vertically too much as keeping lights quite close. Will prob start adding nutrients towards end of week Day 17 - decided to top the plant, want to keep it as short as possible due to the limited height available. Adjusted the light schedule so it gets a few extra hours before lights out, topped after the 4th node. After few hours of darkness and about 3 hours of light, plant seems fine Day 18 - first light schedule after topping, 3rd and 4th node leaves have changed, instead of being horizontal and almost floppy, they seem to have stretched up and became more firm. I'm guessing this is as a result of topping. Litre of ph'd water added Day 19 - new growth from topping is growing well, doesn't seem to have stunted plant in any way. Think I'll start adding nutrients next water Day 20 - quite an apparent smell now in the garage. Pistils are showing and plant doesn't seem stunted in any way. I know it's frowned upon, but added some miracle gro plant food at 1/4 strength. Still waiting on my biobizz stuff arriving. Plant is still growing on a daily basis

Start of week 4. Plant is getting quite bushy, I've started a bit of lst by bending some of the fan leaves underneath the growing colas. Will probably pick up some plant ties to tie them out the way. Started adding nutrients today Day 27 - watered with nutrients twice this week, other 2 times has just been ph'd water. Decided to do some lst today, the 2 new main growths from topping have started stretching so tied them down to same level as other growths, there are quite a lot of flower sites, have high hopes for it. Topping the plant was the right choice, not stunted growth in any way and provided me with 2 excellent main shoots Day 28 - looking good after some lst yesterday, glad I topped it, got 2 good main growths and 4 or 5 smaller ones. Will continue next week with some more lst and start adding flowering nutes. Changed 2 out of the 6 bulbs to 2700k - now have 4 x 40w at 8000k and 2 x 36w at 2700k. Will change another 2 next week

Start of week 5, lot of flower sites! Have 5 main growths and 2 or 3 smaller ones. Topping and lst is paying dividends. Will see how I get on this week and may start defoliating some of the larger fan leaves that are getting in the way of smaller growth. Started adding blooming nutes on day 30, will alternate with a ph'd plain water every 2nd watering. Day 33 - plain ph'd water. Plant doing well with not much input from me, noticed a leave further down with bit of burn at very tip of one finger. Part from that plant is in great health, maybe left it a bit long ( 3 days) between waters, think I'll water every 2nd day from now

Start of week 6 and still going strong. Watered on day 37 with litre of nutes. Will continue alternating with ph'd water. Will start reducing the amount of veg nutes this week and start removing the plant ties I used for lst. Really pleased with how well it's doing. Day 40 - Done a little defoliation today, not much just 7 or 8 leaves. Just enough to let more light to other bud sites. All still going good Day 42 - end of week 6 and all good. 1 leave at very bottom of plant has wilted and turned yellow. Think it's from being covered and getting no light. Will maybe keep the grow nutes at same dose just in case

Start of week 7, nothing new to report. Now its in full flower mode think I'll stop alternating nutes and ph'd water and just stick with nutes every water. Still using 2ml/l of grow nutes, will start reducing that this week. Went up to 3ml/l of flower nutes. Still watering every 2nd day with a litre of fluid. Few more of the lower leaves are starting to yellow and shrivel up, think it's a combination of getting no light and flowering. If anyone has any advice fire away, I've added some pics. There are 5 in total, all at the bottom but those are the worst 3. Day 45 - thanks for the answers to the question folks. Think it's a mixture of everything that folk were saying. Will keep the grow nutes the same quantity and start using nutes every water. Will know by end of week how it does. The uppermost leaves at the flowers are starting to get frosty from trichomes. Looking forward to how it progresses this week. Day 47 - not checked since day 45 and noticed an apparent difference in the flowers. They're certainly gaining some weight. All 3 waters this week have been with nutes, will keep the grow nutes the same level as the plant obviously needs it and will start reducing them closer to harvest before flushing. Don't think it's going to be too long as some of the pistils are changing colour already, this might be a usual occurrence, not too sure Day 49 - end of week 7. I think from doing a bit of digging that I've a slight phosphorous deficiency. The dark splotches on the leaves seem to be a bit of a giveaway for that. Watered for the last time this week so upped my flower nutes to 4ml/l and will keep the grow at 2ml/l, maybe reduce to 1ml/l over the next week. Apart from that the plants doing well, really pleased with it so far. Will keep a close eye next week to make sure the deficiency doesn't turn into a problem. Hoping that adding nutes every water will help me out

Few of the older leaves have started going yellow with brown spots and shriveling up. I'm in week 7, week 3 of flower. I've been alternating nutes with Plain ph'd water, so only been adding nutes every 2nd water. Have now changed to every water. Is this just due to flowering? Ta

Looks partly like a nitrogen deficiency to me. It also being the oldest growth/not receiving much light also plays a factor. Its to be expected, as long as new growth is green and healthy, nothing to worry about. Hope that helps.

Nothing new to report from last week. Getting to the last few weeks so upped the flower nutes to max and using every water. Will be keeping a close eye on the deficiency and hope upping the nutes help. Flowers have came on great this past week, looking forward to what the next week brings. Day 54 - came to the conclusion that my deficiencies are being caused by a ph problem. I've been watering with biobizz without checking the ph as it says you don't need to adjust. That's only if your using biobizz soil though! The ph of my water with nutes is 5.8 so I've added baking soda the past 2 waters to bring it up to around 7. Will water once more at 7 then adjust so ph of water is about 6.5. Hope I've not done too much damage!

Start of week 9, almost there. The deficiency has spread to quite a few more leaves the past week. Hope that keeping an eye on the ph will help sort things out. Maybe its just the plant cannabalising itself as it gets close to harvest. Flowers are coming along nicely and have certainly grown a lot last week. Bit of a dilemma this week, I'm away on holiday for 5 days. I'm unsure wether to start flushing and harvest early before I go, or wether to use my watering spikes and flush the 5 days I'm away and harvest when I return. Will see how the plant looks come the weekend and make a desicion. About 40-50% of pistils have curled and darkened. Waiting on a microscope to check the trichomes colour Day 60 - Not had to water since 1st day this week, obviously slowing down on water uptake. Nowhere near ready so will water with nutes once more tomorrow and will then leave to flush with watering spikes and ph'd water all next week when im away for 5 days. Will hopefully be ready for harvest in 1 week to 10 days time Day 61 - watered for last time with nutes. Added 2 500ml bottles with watering spikes, away tomorrow for a few days. Will see what it looks like when I return and maybe add nutes a final time depending on how ready it looks, will probably just continue with flushing as it looks like it's almost there

Day 66 - 3rd day of week 10. Just back from my trip away. The watering spikes didn't work so the soil was bone dry, gave it a good drink and included some nutes. Reckon about a week or so left, will water once more with nutes and then just ph'd water to flush. When I first opened the fridge, it was stinking. Worst (or best) it's smelled by far. There's an apparent difference in the size of the buds, the 2 small ones at the back of the plant are now almost the same size as some of the main ones were a week ago! Day 69 - about 60-70% of pistils have darkened so watered with nutes for last time today. A week to 10 days worth of ph'd water to flush now. Had to add some moisture traps as having a problem with humidity when lights out, jumps to about 85%! When lights are on it's hovering between 40-45%. Hopelly 2 traps will bring it down 10% or so. Just a waiting game now

Day 71 - starting to flush so watered tonight with a litre of ph'd water. Another week I reckon and it'll be harvest time. Chopped one of the smaller buds from the back of the plant to sample difference of harvesting early before flushing, and harvesting later when buds are more mature after flushing. Came out at 5.1g wet, hands are stinking after chopping off the leaves! Day 73 - litre of ph'd water. A little bit of defoliation to get more light to the flowers. Will be keeping the plant alive till most of the leaves go yellow, not wanting to rush it.

Really easy to grow, basically forgot about it the past week while I was flushing. The small sample I chopped off last week gave me a really good high, really pleased with how it went. For a 1st grow it proved pretty painless! I have a photoperiod red Dragon which I'll try next. Have achieved 126 grams wet so hoping for at least half of that when dry. It's currently back in the fridge with the heater on at 19 degrees Celsius, will check again in 3 days and then start to cure. Have really high hopes as the sample I chopped off 10 days ago blew my mind, an extra 10 days fattening up will hopefully push the quality over the edge. Tried some of the older bud tonight. The extra 10 days really made a difference. That's it dried out now and during, leaving overnight gives a humidity of 75% after a couple hours of lid of it drops to about 65%. Will keep doing this until the humidity stabilised in the mid 60's0
