This is a freebie I got when I orded from growbarato.es. This is the first time I try out Fastbuds genetics that I've heard so much good about so I am looking forward to growing this plant!
Though the start has not been the best. These were put to germinate in a paper towel the same day as the Auto Criticals from my other diary. The Zkittlez plant took much longer to germinate and looked kind of sickly at first, now it's starting to look okay but it is now about a week behind the Auto Critical in development. I hope the problems stops here.
She has grown out of her weird phase and straight in to flower with the first preflowers showing. So not only slow to start but fast to flower too. Also, I I have started LST on her.
She is developing fine and she still has some weird features, see pictures for examples. During this week all my autos have been attacked by leafminers, but only the autos. Anyone know what I can do about it? I don't want to use neem since I am in flower.
She is growing well but still have some weird leaves here and there. She is definitely among the smellier plants and the sugarleaves are already showing a good amount of trichomes.
Sadly the week my lovely Zkittlez has been attacked by budworms that managed to destroy two small buds. Apart from that, everything is going well. I am now treating her with BT checking her more often during the fay to avoid further damage to her.
I think I'll harvest this one next week, the trichomes are almost ready and the weather is turning wetter and wetter. I had to build a tent for my plants this week.
I chose to harvest this week. The photo is from just before I cut her down. I have always dried in paper bags. It started out as a soultion to not having a lot of space and I stuck with it.
Really nice sweet smell. It was a nice Halloween treat to be able to smoke some homegrown Zkittlez. After having dried the plant in a paper bag the smoke is smooth and the taste is sweet but faint. I need to cure this but I had to try it. The high is balanced and very social, even though my thoughts sometimes wander. The weed is not as strong as I expected it to be but I still like it and I might grow this again. I have a Fast Buds Gelato Auto that I will try, and there are a lot more that look interesting like Lemon AK or Lemon Pie.
It gave much less than I expected. The lower buds were very fluffy and not as dense as I first thought so I should maybe have left it for another week or two even though the trichomes were looking ready. The Auto Critical I harvested about the same time actually gave me more even though I accidentally topped that one second week into flower. It's small size might be due to the weird and slow growth the plant displayed in the beginning.
