Went pretty well. Seed sprouted in in a cup of water, in less than a day. Was put in soil, and was up on the surface within 24 hours.
So far it's a very compact plant, barely stretching its stem at all, but that might be because of the hight of my lamp.
Overwatered a bit at night between day 6 and 7, but it doesn't look like it's hindering the growth at all. It's still going strong, and is currentlig sprouting on the sides on day 8.
Day 9 update;.
Watering/stress damage still making her curl up more, but apparently she don't care and is still growing fine.. As long as that continues, I'm not too worried, and hopefully there won't be any symptoms on the new leaves.
- Had to replace an inch of the top soil today. A white fungus started growing..
Day 10 update;
Nothing really to report today.. Still growing pretty fast, even with the damage from overwatering.
- Seems waaay short, compared to other grows of this strain, that I've looked at. Not that I'm complaining, I like short bushes over larger ones.
Day 11 update;
No real change today..
Day 12 update;
Still growing nicely.. Hopefully it's stopped with the whole curling leaves now. Will probably cut the most damaged ones tomorrow, as they've started showing signs of damage, other than curling up. Don't want it to waste energy trying to fix something unfixable. But it's depending on how they look tomorrow.
day 13 update;
Morning; There's a "heatwave"currently, where I live, so I knew that the temperature was a bit on the higher side.. Ordered an ice washer online, and they fucked up so sent me a free thing to measure temperature as an apology.. Definitely not the best quality, so not sure if it measures correct or not, but I've updated for now.
- Just cut the damaged leaves, as the plant seemed to have given up on them, and just drained the nutrients they had left, and they were clearly dying off.
Night; It seems to have taken nicely to removing the leaves, so hopefully it'll be back to the fast paced growth it's been so far.. Also repottet one of the others, so raised the lamp another 10 cm,, so maybe it'll get a little extra hight on it as well, it's still really short so might measure it tomorrow, as well as give it a little water for the first time in a week.. soil is pretty dry now thanks to the heatwave going on.
Day 14 update;
Afternoon; Just replantet... I have two other Quick Ones next to it, all 3 with stress damage. Cut the leaves of another and replanted it yesterday, and it's growing faster than before, while this one almost came to a halt. So I took the chance and moved it to a 10 liter fabric pot instead of the shitty ceramic one I was using, with no drainage.. Unfortunately, I failed to realize when I put soil in the ceramic one, that it had edges on the inside, for some dumb reason, and the bottom of the rootnet got stuck in it and was torn off.. tho, it was the begining of it being rootbound, but damage is still damage.. Hopefully it likes the new soil, completely new compost straight from the recycling facility, and my fertilizer is done and should be ready for use, so I'll add a tiny amount tomorrow, not that I think it'll need it with the new soil, but it'll likely give a good boost of nuttients for the roots to recover.
Night; Last update of week 2 I suppose..
- Looks like the plant have taken a liking to the composted soil, even tho I absolutely fucked up replanting it. Measured it to 4.5 cm tonight, tho I'll probably not update that til tomorrow at the start of a new week..
- Light is back closer to the plant, since all of them have the new 10 liters fabric pots, and I didn't bother to raise it, so a approx 26 cm from soil level.
- I like the fabric pots, they seem pretty good quality.. Material seems like it'll survive for a long time, tho that could just be because they're completely new, and they might breqk down quickly due to absorbing water, who knows.. They were like 1.5usd each...
- Well, End of week 2. Hopefully week 3 will have less stress and a lot more growth for when they're expected to start flowering in week 4 or 5..
- Also, they've begun to have a very strong smell of growth.. Tho there's a faint breath of resin mixed in, dunno why, but it's absolutely enjoyable. (Or it could be my nose getting it wrong.. Been 10 years since my last grow..)
Day 15 update;
Morning;
Was definitely a mistake to cut the leaves already.. I let the leaves stay on one of the 3 plants I have, and after it got repotted yesterday, growth have taken off completely.. It's 3 days younger than this one, and almost twice the size, having set the second set of leaves on the sidestems already. I'll add some fertilizer today, to the 2nd one I cut leaves on, and see how it goes, and then decide tomorrow if the other two will get some then or if waiting a few extra days is best.
- It's looking incredibly healthy tho, for a plant that lost a bunch of it's roots yesterday.. It's hugging the light from the lamp with the rest of its leaves, even more than before. So hoping I didn't set growth back too much.
- Added a video of the setup. It's nothing fancy, but should work nicely.
Night;
Still really healthy looking, and still hugging the light with pretty much every leaf, even the ones sprouting on the side have begun to do so.. Seems like it's starting to grow a little again as well, not much, but definitely a start to getting back on track.
Day 16 update;
She's definitely begun to grow again. Hopefully she'll catch up to the other two pretty fast.
Day 17 update;
There reqlly ian't much to say today. I think she's picking up the pace for growth, bit can't be too sure..
Day 18 update;
There's no doubt that she's back to growing nicely again. She might even have a healthier green colour than before.
Day 19 update;
Morning;
Pretty sure she's showing signs of the beginning of sexing this morning. A little earlier than I'd hoped, especially with the setbacks she's had. But she still got time to grow before flowering, so hopefully not a problem now that she's back on track.
Evening;
She popped a few hairs during the day.. I tried taking some better pictures, but damn phone camera just won't focus when getting closer than what I've uploaded, so I underlined the hairs slightly.. They hard to aee in the pic tho, but they're there.
Night;
She's set another couple of hairs at the top, they're very tiny tho and I still can't get a good picture.
Growth is definitely progressing faster.
Day 20 update;
She's had a productive day. Definitely preparing to flower within the next week or so. Hairs should be pretty noticable on the top-down pic this time around, the way it looks close up, it could be suspected that she was already flowering.
Day 21 update;
Not quite flowering yet, but definitely very close from the looks of her top.. another couple of days, and she'll be there.
Day 22 update;
Midday;
Looks like she handled the stress even worse that I thought.. Just removed 5 pollen sacs along the main stem, so I'm going to keep an even closer eye on her from now on.. If I spot more, I'll probably end up cutting her down, as I really son't want her to contaminate the other 2..
- Hopefully tho, it's the only sacs she'll set, and I won't have to kill her off..
- She's so close to being in flower tho, that I just updated this week as that..
Night;
Still growing well, and haven't spottet any other sacs yet. Definitely entering flower tho, all tops on branches have started throwing pistils, so hopefully the sacks on the stem was a one time thing and I won't see more of them until harvest.. Still keeping a close watch tho..
Day 23 update...
Unfortunately I found another 2 pollen sacs today, so I removed her from the tent, and put her down back of my garden..
- Weather isn't really for it, but I don't want her inside the tent, in case I miss a pollen sac, I know it's a dick move to place her outside, but the legality here makes it so basically no one grows anyway, I know, cuz of all the complaints that have been going around lately, about the country being dry of hash, after the cops busted some of the bigger importers.. <.<
Day 26 update;
I'll be updating this less regularly.. I'm not really paying her much attention, other than to check for pollen sacs a couple of times a day.. The only place I had to put her, was with direct line of sight from my neighbours house, and since it's illegal to grow where I live, I don't want to attract too much attention to it by going there more often, and spending more time whenever I go. There's luck in my fuckup with stressing her tho, as she's not getting bigger, so unless the neighbour get suspicious and uses binoculars, they're not gonna see it.
- They're both in full bloom now tho, and haven't seen a single sign of more pollen sacs growing on either of them. But since I gave my seedling a 25 liter pot, there's no room even if I decided to bring them back inside the tent, so they'll spend the rest of their time outside, balls or not. (She's the one on the left.. The one on the right is 2 days younger.)
Day 28 update.
They're still surviving outside, but it's gonna be rough with September coming up, fall has started.
- Had an exercise bike in my room I moved somewhere else, so suddenly had a lot of free space open up, and decided I might as well buy a new tent.. That means these 2 won't have to stay out during the shitty weather to come in September and possibly October, as I'll be moving my main grow to the new tent in my bedroom, tho they'll only get a 90w UFO LED I have from my very first grow. So they'll definitely get starved for light, but they won't rot because of Scandinavian fall at least.
Day 29 update;
Midday;
Forgot how red my old UFO was.. But at least they won't have to suffer the weather now that they're inside.. It's pretty much been raining nonestop since a couple of days ago, with heavy winds. And at least the red and not blue LEDs since they're flowering..
Night;
They didn't handle being outside all too well.. Especially not the one on the right. Buds look fine tho, yield won't be all too great on these two tho, and the 90w isn't helping on that end, tho I should hopefully get a new lamp tomorrow, so the 300w will get back to these 2, and I'll have a 900w in the other tent..
Day 30 update;
Midday;
Back to 300w full spectrum they went, and my 90w UFO can go back to retirement..
Night;
Guess I'm back to regular updates again, now that they're inside.
- Well, as can be seen in the picture today, she's been enduring a bit of a bug attack, while outside. Tho, it looks like I didn't bring the bugs in with the plants.. She's looking pretty good despite it tho.
Day 31 update;
She's doing her thing. Growing some pistils here and there, and not much else. But as long as I'm not seeing any more pollen sacs, I'm gonna consider it a win overall.
Day 32 update;
Nothing to really add, other than she's still enjoying the light and popping extra pistils.
Day 33 update;
Not sure whether or not i'll add some fertilizer at some point.. She's definitely getting a lighter green colour tho, so maybe it's wise to do.. However, I fucked up with the nettles, and stored it wrong, so mold everywhere. Not sure if it can be salvaged, but I'll probably just end up buying a bottle of something instead.
- She's looking fine tho. And a new fan should be arriving tomorrow for the tent as the old one is constandly in the way, and a pain to move around.
Day 34 update;
I ordered myself a wifi microscope with 50 - 1,000% zoom.. Gotta get used to the way I snap pictures with it, so quality isn't too good for now.. They're both starting to produce trichomes tho, which is nice.
- She got magnesium problems now, but hopefully it's something as simple as all the rainwater having altered the PH of the soil, so she can't absorb what's already present, since both of them have the same issue, while the one that stayed inside aren't showing the symptoms.. I should be getting a PH tester tomorrow or the day after tho, and can't really do anything outside of waiting for now. I don't really have any stuff for it.
Day 35 update;
Last day of week 5, and progress is still progressing. There's definitely a distinct smell coming from the plants now. Smell is staying im the tent for now tho.
Day 36 update;
Nothing to add. Bit more crystals, tho not too much..
Day 37 update;
Looks like the tap water fixed the magnesium problem. And added some fertilizer today.
Day 38 update;
Progress still be progress.
Day 39 update;
Trichomes definitely spreading.
Day 40 update;
Still not that great at holding the microscope still, so pictures aren't really that good..
Strong aroma from the plants now tho, very nice fruity smell I can't quite pinpoint what is, but very intense when I open the tent.
Day 41 update;
She's starting to pop some purple colour on the top leaves.. Not exactly sure why, as she's had the exact same treatment as the other one, while that one isn't showing any purpling. I'm not entirely against it, but since I'm not sure if it's genes or what, it's a little, well...
- Added a few extra pics of the other one, since she's looking a little better bud wise.
- Smell in the tent is fantastic.. A little more purple on the leaves, and definitely more progress on the buds as well.
- The other one is further ahead, even tho it's only day 39
Day 42 update;
End of week 6..
- Getting closer and closer. Harvest gonna be in a couple of weeks.
Day 43 update;
Forgot to update...
Day 44 update;
She's pretty much completely yellow now, except for the leaves popping up in the buds. Won't be long until she can't take anymore, even tho she's weeks from ready. Hopefully, the leaves in the buds are enough.
Day 45 update;
Added pictures of all 3 of them this time..
- Still going fine, tho, she's losing a little too many leaves..
Day 46 update;
The yellowing continues, and more leqves fall off. Buds be doing okay tho, So I'll just let it continue.
Day 47 update;
Nothing to report.
Day 48 update;
Nothing to report.
Day 49 update;
Since I haven't seen any pollen sacs since the beginning of flower, and I have extra space in the new tent, I decided to move the plants to that tent with more light.
Day 50 update;
She's dropping leaves fast, but the smell is pretty good. Was a good choice moving them to other tent, so I get a nice aroma in my bedroom.
- They aren't exactly pumping out the same amount of trichomes tho. First one is definitely on the less productive end.
Day 51 update;
Nothing really to report today, other than I just want to harvest and smoke it already.. But it don't have much amber, so I'm gonna wait.
Day 52 update;
Probably gonna be around one and a half week before harvest. Second one is probably gonna be harvested next week, and third one got a long time left, unless she starts withering the pistils more than she have.
- Uploading pics of all 3 today, since the third one is finaly pumping out trichomes properly.
Day 53 update;
Nuthin to report today.
Day 54 update;
She's still not really withering the pistils, so I'm just trying to be patient..
- Really nothing else to say.
Day 55 update;
Still the same.
Day 56 update;
Still nothing but slow progress to report.
Day 57 update;
Nothing really.
Day 58 update;
Gonna harvest when the soil dries up..
Day 59 update;
She started setting more pistils again.. So not sure I want to harvest yet after all...
Day 60 update;
Ended up giving her some water.. I'm not in a rush to harvest while I wait for the seed I want to replace it, to arrive in mail.
Was definitely faster than I expected, until heat stress, bad repotting and ph ptoblems when it was outside.
- Harvest pretty poor, with only 11g wet, but that's to be expected with how badly I handled it.
@@CUBULATOR,
Neither of them have set more sacs, since I put them outside, Just pistils for the flowers. So I don't think they're genetic hermies. If they were tho, I'd complain to RQS instantly. <.<
I hope your plant produce some very nice looking buds, with a lot of potency!
I added a picture of the 3rd one as well.. Same strain, no sacs at all.
@Justa_Retard, I have one plant that looks amazing I found a few things early they were very small but I thought they would turn to herms so I plucked them. I would usually chop her up but I want to see what bud she produces. So we both need some luck 💪
@Justa_Retard,they look like true herms not bananas so I would say genetics , your plant naturally can take alot of stress it's a plant. Obviously stress could have played a part , but if it wasnt bad genetics It wouldnt hermie.
@ChitownCannaChica,
Mine did flower early due to stress, and it had PH problems during flower as well, so yours is gonna look a lot better than this one, once it takes off. ^_^
@MrJones,
They don't really have a choice. xD
- People in my country, throw out a ton of garden waste during summer, and the only place to get rid of it, is recycling facilities. So unless they want to burn it, which would counterproductive when we're forced to pay a lot of "green" taxes tO sAvE tHe EnViRoNmEnT, And the resulting soil takes up a lot of space, so they have to get rid of it somehow. lol
If you want composted soil, just put a 1x1x1m container somewhere in your garden and fill it with waste from your garden, like dead flowers, leaves, stems, etc, etc... My dad does that so he can breed earthworms for fishing. lol.. You can probably buy some earthworms online to start it out as well.
- Just remember to stir it around once in a while, or it'll grow mold instead.
@Justa_Retard, mixed up my diary's again, that is totally cool that they recycle and make compost, I would surely use that, wish they would fo that in Michigan!
@MrJones,
Yeah, definitely no coffee yet. xD
- I'm not using anything from Roots Organic.. Didn't even know it was a thing till you just mentioned it. >,.,<
I'm using composted soil from the nearest recycling facility.. They just compost other peoples garden trash and put the resulting soil in a pile for other people to collect for free. Tho I do mix it with some perlite.
