I'm starting this diary on day 73 of this plants life, the third day since I've switched the light schedule over. This plant is an interesting one, it's pretty stretchy which forced me to do a bit of supercropping today, and the smell coming from the stem is pretty offensive. She doesn't ask for much either.
This plant is so tall it worries me. It might fall over in late flower if she decides to give me a nice yield. I'm not thinking I'll get very much though as a lot of the stems are thin and there isn't many nodes. Hopefully it'll be a great smoke like Remo says.
Quit stretching! In case anyone was wondering how much of an effect genetics have on a plant, this is a great example. This girl is right about the same age as her tent-mate and is almost twice the height despite being kept under the same light and fed the same.
This one doesn't ask for much as far as nutrients go, in fact, I'll have to dial down the N on the next feed as I'm starting to see signs of N tox. Lots of budsites, only a few colas will come from this plant, the rest will be normal size buds. The smell isn't as strong as the double glock right now, but I expect that to change over the next week or so.
Gave her an extra half ml of pk this week and dialed down the A/B to 5ml/g last week as I started to notice signs of N tox, no further progression noted since. Compared to her tent mate the Double Glock, she does not require as much nitrogen, grows much taller during flower, and takes longer to form buds. Nice OG kush smell becoming very strong now.
No change really. Buds are fattening a bit but I think this lady is gonna take awhile longer than her tent mate. Gives me some time to set up some clones to fill the space when she comes down, so no big deal. Still absolutely love the smell on this one, it's definitely OG.
Going back and forth between N tox and deficiency with this one. My fault for feeding her the same as her tent mate. I'm loving the smell this strain is putting off, super funky OG. Back up to ~700 ppm since the middle of last week, may take it a little further in a couple days depending on her reaction.
Definitely could've treated this lady with more care, but regardless she will be a fantastic plant to smoke. Took a tester bud on day 44 and it was amazing when it dried. Gassy lemon sweetness to the smoke that is mouthwatering. Heavy indica effect already.
Continuing to fatten up. I won't be able to harvest this plant in April unfortunately, 2nd week of may is the cutoff for her, hope I can bring her down earlier though. Stopped feeding silica midweek last week, probably could have stopped sooner. My excitement for this harvest is immense, this stuff smells, tastes, and feels so good (based on a day 44 tester bud), so I can't wait to see how it is at maturity.
Starting a 5 day flush. She's gotta be down by then, ready or not, so I can start some clones and seedlings for summer. I took a tester almost 30 days ago now, and it was great then, so I'm sure it'll be even better by harvest time.
This is a very good strain, it's that OG I've grown up smoking here in SoCal. Ripper did an amazing job with this one, but remember to control the height. She loves to grow upwards.
