deFharo New grow of a 75% Indica variety (Photoperiod), it's an improved version of the Sweet Tooth strain from Spice of Life. The producer claims an indoor flowering period of 50 to 60 days. I had this seed stored in the fridge for over a year, hope the vigor remains. So far, it germinated in 36 hours and is established in its pot. I transplanted it two days after germination. I did the germination in the dark with paper soaked in a solution of azomite, auxins, and humate. I added some watering with honey (rooting agent and sugars) and Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA). Until next week, Cheers!!

deFharo Second week of life for this indica, the seedling is settled in its pot and shows clear signs of vigor like the beginning of the first true leaves and the appearance of the first roots at the base. For now, I'm recovering the lost moisture daily, adding just a little bit of carbohydrates and Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA). deFharo Just as I expected, the seedling has shown remarkable growth in its third week of life, with numerous vertical roots already poking out from the base. The stem has thickened, and the new leaves look very vigorous, the internodes are short. I'm going to wait this week to transplant it to its final pot, but first, I'm going to give it a boost for vegetative growth. Cheers and health to everyone. Until next time!! 😋

deFharo Fourth week. And I thought I was growing a photoperiod strain, and it turns out that this week it starts to pre-flower. I'm so forgetful!! Since I hadn't planned on growing autos due to the cost of the usual 18/6 light hours, what I'm going to do with this grow is keep it at 12 hours in the flowering cabinet and complete the light hours by taking it to the window. I'm freaking out about the transplant; lately, all the autos I've transplanted for one reason or another have failed. - I've created a super substrate with minerals in two layers and very aerated; the top half of the pot contains easily assimilable nutrients for the first weeks of life. - I've added the mulch from my previous grow along with a couple of cm of soil underneath for the inoculation of MM. - I've mixed in the substrate the many trichoderma spores that were around the roots of my previous grow. - I've been misting with a spray bottle and a solution of rainwater, honey, and MMA while adding soil to the pot; I haven't watered. - I transplanted with the soil from the small pot very moist, so that by capillarity it moistens the surrounding substrate. - I'm going to do small waterings to maintain humidity and at the same time keep the substrate well-oxygenated; let's see if this time I can fill the pot with roots. 😇 GROWING TIP Reusing parts of the substrate from another organic grow to transfer and inoculate MM and Mycorrhizae to the new substrate. 1) I keep the pots with their soil after the harvest, drying in the shade for at least 2 weeks so that the mycorrhizae and MM sporulate. 2) I recover the first cm of substrate under the mulch and mix it with the new substrate; here, there is basically MM and organic matter in the process of humification. 3) I rescue the spores of the mycorrhizae; these are very visible and identifiable by their greenish color on the side walls of the pot; I also chop the old roots with scissors and mix them with the substrate. 4) The moisture will do the rest!! deFharo Fifth week of life from seed, first since transplanting. The plant shows positive changes since the transplant a week ago, the color of the leaves has improved, they remain smooth, there has been a growth of 4cm, and the white pistils show good evolution. The plant overall has a good structure, very symmetrical and compact with internodes of 3-4cm. The truth is I was worried about this plant since my previous automatic grows all failed after transplanting due to overwatering. This time, I’m keeping a minimum but consistent moisture level in the pot. I’m going to wait for the roots to fill the pot, and I’ll see that with the evolution of the grow. In the meantime, I’m just recovering moisture, adding free sugars (Honey), and continuing with the inoculation of Microorganisms (MM). I also continue to take the plant outside after cabinet hours; it receives about 22 hours of light in total, this way I promote growth as much as I can. Until next time!! Cheers and health!! 😃

deFharo Sixth week of life from seed and this little auto is still alive, it hardly has any growth although the buds do show positive evolution. Water consumption is low and I keep it with low humidity levels in the substrate as well. This week's waterings have provided many vitamins and minerals thanks to the bokashi tea and my lacto-fermented auxins, minerals, and nutrients. As soon as the plant starts to consume more water, I will begin with specific contributions for flowering. I think for future grows I need to change my substrate strategy, at least for standard pots, because my reused substrates are providing a lot of organic matter which causes greater water retention, and since this is a pot grow, it doesn't benefit me. Some of my recent grows have suffered from excess humidity when there really wasn't that much, and I say this with knowledge, as I weigh all my pots daily to keep track of waterings, contributions, and consumption. I continue to supplement the indoor light hours with rays of sunshine that I capture from my windows. Overall, I see the grow as healthy and with potential, but I'm certain it won't grow much more. deFharo Seventh week of life for this auto infiltrated in my crops. The growth is very slow, the water consumption is very low which worries me, I hope the roots are spreading, this plant moved to its final pot with a good initial root ball, but it’s just not thriving. The structure is nice and the tips are loaded with white pistils, and for now, there are no signs of deficiencies or blockages, let’s see what results it gives. This week I added solid nutrients on the surface and two small waterings with organic Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. The plastic pot is retaining too much moisture at the base, this week I’m going to wait for the substrate to dry as much as possible to continue with the feeding. Greetings to everyone!! deFharo Eighth week of this infiltrated auto, nothing new to report, the plant is standing tall, it seems like the buds have fattened up a bit... but the problem is the ridiculous water consumption, around 50ml daily, I don’t understand. Yesterday I flushed the roots with 2 liters of rainwater, my intention is to bring oxygen to the entire substrate as well as release nutrient load, now I'm worried about how long it will take to consume the water in the pot because at this rate it will take about 15 days, anyway, let's see what happens. deFharo Ninth week and this little auto is holding on with minimal resources, the water consumption in the pot is ridiculous since the transplant, I've still been waiting this week for the substrate to dry after the little root wash, but it seems that the moisture has settled at the bottom of the pot, surely because there are no roots in that area. New burnt leaf tips have also started to appear, not a good sign. Today I'm going to moisten the top of the substrate to see if the roots in this area get some nutrients, anyway, it doesn't have much time left. Thinking I was germinating a photoperiod seed, I planted it in a medium pot, and autos definitely don't like transplants. But I'm going to get it out of my system, I'm preparing an Ad hoc cabinet to grow two autos from start to finish, without transplants, let's see what happens, stay tuned for the new diaries. deFharo Another week of life for this little auto that ended up in my grow without me wanting it to. The buds are fattening up and the signs of deficiencies aren't too many, even though I expected the worst since the water consumption is around 50ml daily and it takes a long time to use up the moisture in the pot. But thinking about it, this plant is actually like a branch from other grows and the water consumption is proportional. For now, I'm watering to keep some moisture in the upper half of the pot. I imagine it has 1-2 weeks at most before I cut it. For now, it's a plant I use as a wildcard to fill my cabinets. Cheers!! Until next time!! 😵‍💫😐

deFharo The plant has completed week eleven, it's still moving at its turtle pace, but it keeps going. The central bud is so thick and heavy that it threatens to break the stem with every movement I make in the pot. If I had germinated the seed directly in its final pot, I'm sure I would have gotten a great plant; even so, I'm reasonably happy. This plant is serving as a wildcard to fill gaps in the grow cabinets, due to its small pot, the vertical structure that doesn't stick out of the pot, and especially because it's autoflowering, as it takes light from any source. In short, this plant travels through all my cabinets and windows to complete the 20 hours of daily light. I didn't plan on growing autoflowering plants, but the versatility this plant has given me to optimize energy consumption has made me decide to always have an autoflowering one, correcting, as much as I can, the mistakes of this grow. Since the water consumption is so small, it only allows me to water once a week, and I've done this with a PKM solution made up of: Potassium humate from leonardite, Lacto fermented guanos and minerals with EM (PM), and Ormus to correct the pH and provide minerals. deFharo Twelve weeks since this seed germinated, the growth is slow but steady, the weight of the apical bud is increasing and has forced me to put in support so it doesn't bend the stem, this bud is very dense, the secondary buds are gradually fattening up. The plant continues to create trichomes, there are no major signs of fatigue and for now this crop helps me fill gaps in my cabinets, it doesn't emit much smell. I'm going to wait a little longer to harvest it, for now it's two weeks older than what the producer predicts. That's it, until next time!! Cheers!! 😀

deFharo 8 weeks into flowering and the plant is slowly getting ready for harvest, not much more to say, except that it has already surpassed the producer's harvest forecast by 3 weeks (70 days from seed). The main bud is very fat and dense, still no amber trichomes visible, the lower buds are growing, but slowly. Anyway, the next watering will be the last and only with water, I’ll probably harvest it at the end of next week and keep this big bud for a few months to see what quality it shows for smoking. deFharo Nothing new in this 14th week of life, the plant remains stable, the buds show no signs of aging, on the contrary, the lower colas are showing growth and the upper one is as hard as a rock, so for now I’ll keep it alive, I guess I’ll wait at least another week before cutting it. deFharo Today I cut the main bud, it was already showing signs of ripening. Since there’s still water in the pot and I’ve seen the lower buds still producing trichomes, I’m going to leave this half of the plant for a few days to see if there’s any noticeable growth in those little tails. deFharo Last week I cut the main bud, it was hard when I cut it and a week later it's fluffy. I've kept the plant this week with 4 branches, hoping those colas would show growth, but it was minimal, so today I cut them and I'm done with the grow... please let me pass!!! My mistake, confusing this strain with a photoperiod and doing a last-minute transplant when I realized it was flowering and that it was an auto, but it never overcame the shock. The water consumption has been ridiculous throughout the grow, a sign of a deficient root system, which has held me back from using fertilizers. Maybe next time RIP. For now, the positive thing is that it leaves space for another girl and I won't have to carry the pot anymore. Greetings to everyone and thanks for being there!!
