BetaVulgaris It's starting again! 😊 This time with Cookies Kush and Pineapple Chunk from Barney's Farm. I actually wanted to grow a Haze, but I have to be done by Christmas, so I'm going with two strains with a shorter flowering time. But at the beginning of next year, it's time for Amnesia Haze from Soma! 😁
For soil, I'm using Biobizz Allmix, and later all the nutrients from this company as well. It worked well in the last grow.
For germination: Super easy, Allmix in the 19-liter Gronest pots, hole in the soil, seeds in. Et voilà, three days later the plants saw the light of the world. It always works. I don't understand why some people make such a fuss about getting their seeds to germinate. 😉

BetaVulgaris The plants are developing beautifully. The third node is just forming. I’ll probably be able to top the two for the first time during the coming week. I also gave them nutrients for the first time this week, especially CalMag, so I don’t run into a deficiency like I did with the last grow. This time I'm also using almost twice as large flower pots as last time. Instead of 11-liter Airpots, now 19-liter Gronest. More than one 50-liter bag of Biobizz Allmix fits into two 19-liter Gronest pots. Let's see if more soil brings more yield this time. The Proemit Sunflow is running at about half power, which is more than enough for now. Otherwise, the plants are doing very well. 👍

BetaVulgaris I decided not to do any mainlining for this grow, but instead just top behind the fifth node and spread the ten shoots per plant well with LST. That should save a lot of time compared to mainlining. So, I topped both plants today on day 19 behind the fifth node.
The CK is a very nice plant with strong shoots; I really like it. The PC is growing much more compact with very weak shoots; I’m not liking it at all right now. We'll see, maybe I can somehow nurse it back to health. Overall, the Cookies Kush is clearly ahead by a long shot.

BetaVulgaris I generously defoliated both plants this week and I'm busy using LST to evenly distribute all the branches and bring them to the same height. The Cookies Kush is growing like crazy, I really like it. The Pineapple Chunk is still lagging behind quite a bit, which is a bit annoying. Nevertheless, both have recovered rapidly after the defoliation.
For the next grow, I will use Air Pots again instead of Grownest, because it's significantly easier to attach the wires, etc. for LST to a solid plastic pot rather than a flexible fabric pot. But that's just my personal opinion. 😉

BetaVulgaris I turned the LED to full power this week. The plants are growing fast and look amazing! The leaf discoloration from the last grow was definitely a CalMag deficiency, but this time there's nothing to notice, thanks to CalMag nutrients. Otherwise, in the last few days, I've just been doing some LST and removing a few unnecessary side shoots and leaves here and there. I think I'll let them grow for another week and then send them into flowering. We'll see...

BetaVulgaris Last vegetative week! I cleaned up both plants thoroughly one more time and removed everything from the ten shoots down to the top two to three nodes. Tomorrow I’ll switch to 12/12 and I’m curious about how strong the stretch will be. The Pineapple Chunk is quite a bit smaller than the Cookies Kush, but both plants look very healthy and have rapidly recovered from all the trimming they’ve had in the last days and weeks. 👌

BetaVulgaris I defoliated both plants again this week and removed some shoots that wouldn't have amounted to anything due to lack of light. The stretch was ten centimeters this week, and I tied down the longest shoots even further. Now all the shoot tips are mostly at the same height, and light is coming in nicely everywhere. However, there's still no sign of flowering, but that should change next week. So far, everything is great!

BetaVulgaris No special incidents. The plants are still stretching quite nicely. The Cookies Kush is stretching more than the Pineapple Chunk, see photos. The flowering is now clearly noticeable at the end of the second week of bloom, and the smell is slowly increasing as well. Otherwise, I left the plants alone last week. No more training, just waiting and observing the flowering. Everything is fine. 👌

BetaVulgaris Both plants are growing and thriving beautifully, there are no problems at all. The CK is still stretching quite a bit, even though it's 70% Indica. I removed a few very low side branches that were getting very little light. Other than that, there's not much to do except to look at these two beautiful plants at least once a day and smell the flowers. 😊

BetaVulgaris The fourth week of flowering is over, and the two plants are really going for it; the buds are practically exploding. According to the breeder, there are still four to five weeks of flowering left. If this keeps up, there will really be a fat harvest. Both plants have stopped growing taller; the stretch is over. In the next grow, I will do mainlining with eight shoots again, which will give me a much better and more even distribution of the shoots. For my taste, everything is a bit too uneven in this grow, and not all shoots are fully exposed to the light. A few leaves of the Cookies Kush are starting to turn a bit purple between the leaf veins. Nothing dramatic; it's probably just the first very slight signs of ripening, which I've observed before. Otherwise, both plants are doing excellently! 👌
