Grow 3 Week 1, day 1. In anticipation of my first harvest later this week, grow 3 is Royal Queens Seeds Sweet Skunk automatic. She'll be the first test of my latest grow area, and I'm experimenting with lighting, location and power - going solar for this grow to see if my setup can manage the relatively low wattage. I'm a hobbyist, so not expecting a huge harvest. I'm just really enjoying the growing process. This time, I've propogaed into a coir pod, and will see how long it takes to see a sprout and if it even works. day 1 to 7 = week 1 day 8 to 14 = week 2 day 15 to 21 = week 3 day 22 to 28 = week 4 day 29 to 35 = week 5 day 36 to 42 = week 6 day 43 - 49 = week 7 day 50 - 57 = week 8 day 58 - 65 = week 9 day 66 - 73 = week 10 day 74 - 81 = week 11 day 82 - 89 = week 12 day 90 - 97 = week 12

Day 9 - Seedling looks to be doing pretty well. Sprouted within three days of going directly into the pod. Having second thoughts on trying to grow with solar, but not fully made up my mind yet.

Day 15 - Slow start, but pulled the solar experiment - didn't get enough wattage to keep proper lighting. All looking good though, so holding thumbs.

Day 22 - all looking just fine. Reaching for the light, and has trebled in size in the past 7 days. I'm going to try FIM'ing at some point, but not quite yet, and see how it goes.

Day 28 - quite a slow start, but ph and ppm are fully back under control, so hoping all ill be ok. Tried topping/FIM'ing for the first time, so time will tell ow that works out. Also did a bit of LST to keep the height down, she looks liek she's going to be a tall one.

Finally sorted out the ph/nutes/water issues, and growth/foliage is looking a lot healthier. Flowering has started also. I was sceptical about just how much an impact topping/fimming would have, but it really does work. I think that after this grow, I'm going to redeisgn my grow space, perhaps investing in a tent. Did some more LST this week also, and am hoping that my technique is improving. Trying to make sure I don't get a lot of height.

This grow is not going to plan. Perhaps my expectations are unrealistic, but I thought I'd be getting better at it by now. That, or I'm just not understanding the genetics of each strain. I'm expecting bushy, leafy plants, bt this one is stretchy and bare. Flowering is looking ok, but I think I might be rushing things on the harvest. I think I'll just try to chill out and give this one time. And for the first time, I've noticed little flys buzzing about. Brave little things. I'll remember them without any fondness whatsoever.

Tiny bit of defoliation this week, and a small tweak to last weeks LST. She's looking a lot happier, and flowering is going well. Still not sure how much an impact the cold is having, but doesn't seem to be doing too much harm.

She is looking and smelling great. I'm never sure what a good bud looks like, and when I compare my buds to others, mine almost always look less dense or as weighty as others. I'm still struggling to figure out when the right time to harvest is also. I know about the 50/50 mix between amber and milky, but I absolutely don't even know if I'm looking at the right part of the plant when trying to figure it out. Still, pretty happy with the recovery here.

yes you got it, one more week is right, keep an eye on those trichomes, they are those little balloons that fill up with thc, first they are clear and then become milky cloudy, then amber. r hard to take pictures of i know. when they are milky cloudy they are ready if you want more a head high, while waiting until you get 20% amber for a couch lock, the amber indicates the thc is at the max in the plant as well as waiting to long the thc degrades at this point if you wait too long. harvest when you think you would like to smoke, harvesting is a personal choice based on your needs. looks great and happy soon to be harvest

Tough grow for me - couldn't get the environment right - all my own doing. Will update with dry weights and pictures once ready. update: as anticipated, dry weight is below where I was hoping, but still pretty happy with the quality. I think I need to be a little more vigilnt during the grow. I didn't notice until harvest that she was a hermie.
