Here in the next few weeks I will be running a HUGE grow. Each seed will start in jiffy pods inside a coco/happy frog mix, all in 3 gal fabric pots. A few of these are regular seeds, so we may have a few males pop up, but that’s okay! Hope you’ll join me when the time comes to plant!
As of 27Aug, I have all but 1 Zombie Death Fuck, 1 Blue Moonshine, and 1 Critical Orange Punch.
The COP germinated, but died when it broke soil. Everything else is looking great!
1 Gouda is growing faster than everything else, and 1 Gookies took an extra 2 days to pop out of the soil.
I’m hoping that at least 1 of each reg seed has a female.
The plan is to let these veg out until the roots can’t go anymore, and then transfer to 1 gal fabric pots until week 6 where I should be able to early sex them, at that point my flower tent should be cleared out and I can flip all the girls into flower between week 7-8, where they’ll go into 3 gal fabric pots.
***UPDATE: blue moonshine and COP did not make it, ZDF sprouted Aug28.
I replaced the two dead seeds with two Super Glue Haze regular seeds.
As mentioned last week, I had some failures.
RIP to 1 ZDF, 1 COP, and 1 Blue moonshine.
I planted 2 super glue haze regs to replace 2 of the 3 dead slots, only 1 germed, so...
RIP SGH as well.
On the bright side, 1 SGH is growing nicely, and so are the rest of the crop!
The 2 biggest sprouts are a Gouda and an OMG.
The babies are getting thirsty. Tonight I’m giving them a big feeding of 4ml nutes per gal, then transplanting tomorrow into 1 gal fabric pots.
The Gouda babies are still winning the stretch race, and the O.M.G is showing 2 different phenos out of the gate.
I love starting new seedlings and watching them develop.
Another slow week of watching them grow.
Started my 3 day on 3 day off LST schedule.
3 days will be spent bent down, and 3 will be spent let go.
My goal is to increase the amount of stretch the plants are getting at an even rate, and keeping the canopy’s of the various strains at the same height as best I can.
No problem plants yet, and drawing closer to week 6, where I will start to see signs of pre sexing.
As of now, I believe my 2 possible males are a Gouda, and gookie.
They are stretching much faster than the rest of the tent and show lengthy distance between nodes.
Oh well.
We’ll see in a few short weeks!
Apologies for the blurple lighting, I’ve been slacking on my pictures this week.
I’ve had 2 harvests in 2 weeks and I’m finally at a spot to where I can put some BIG TIME focus on these girls.
My flower tent is almost empty, 5 plants left, roughly 4-5 weeks to go, and then these will go to 3 gal pots, 3 days rest, then into the flower room!
This week I did more 3 day LST, and every plant got topped so they are all equal height again.
The 2 gookies are growing more bush than they are height, and the nodes are super short distance from each other, and I’m debating on putting it under a T5 to make it stretch a little.
The super glue haze and OMG are having trouble growing side branches, which is frustrating me in terms of yield prediction.
Other than that, everyone is doing good!
No burns or deficiencies to be noted!
Another eventful week of watching the grass grow.
Everything is getting bushy, and the topping hasn’t stopped. Some plants are up to 12 main tops, while other are still at 2-4.
I still have 2 problem children, an OMG and a Grape Earth, that are only growing up with no side branching no matter how far I bend them down.
My 3 giants are COP, Cookies forum, and Gouda cheese.
Should see presex in the next week or 2, so we may see some of these magically disappear!
This week has been filled with temperature fluxes like no other!
We go from 50 at night to 85 in the day, and the plants seem to like it.
As you can see, the green has covered the whole tent floor!
I’m still topping the plants about twice a week, and I’ve had a few successful FIMs.
Another girl just got chopped from the flower tent, so that’s one step closer to flipping these girls over... when the time comes they’ll go to 7gal fabric pots and spend 1 final week in veg.
It’s getting hard to wait for the flip!
So I stopped topping this week to see where the tops are at on these plants, and after seeing the explosion of growth after the 1 to 7 gal transplant, I think these are good to go!
I’m waiting on switching to flower until I plant and germinate my next run, which will be in about 2 weeks. Also debating on running clones of these if I see any I like during the flowering stretch.
I had to instal a carbon filter yesterday, Oct15, as my mother in law said it smells like a skunk sprayed the side of my house. Didn’t think I would need to until flower, but I guess it’s expected with this many plants!
Steady growth, and slowly shifting nutrient amounts up, get ready for some buds!
