Autumn Monkey

Tough week for the Gorilla Girl. She was roughed up by some backyard thug on the weekend - I'm looking at you Mr. Chip-Punk. I had her pot under a bush out of direct sunlight and when I went to check on her later in the afternoon, something had flattened her. I found two or three pretty good nicks/crimps in her stem and some damage to her sucker leaves. As a last ditch effort to try and save her, I lashed her to the mast and said a little prayer to Jah. I'm not expecting much but you never know. Speaking of which - the other seed I germinated at the same time as the Gorilla Girl (Sweet Gelato) that I had all but written off due to the fact she wouldn't shake her shell, has rallied! I finally ended up prying the shell off her. She looked pretty rough and lost a sucker leaf in the process but I'll be damned if she didn't throw down some roots. I'll be spinning up another diary for her in the next few days if she continues improving. Thanks for checking in ✌️
