Two Sour Diesel seeds successfully sprouted within two days between two wet napkins in the dark and were planted in prepared Growmix soil with perlite.
The first day after the seeds sprouted. The seedlings are kept all the time in homemade mini-greenhouses made from plastic bottles.
On the third day, I noticed that the left sprout wasn't doing well and had slowed down in growth. I assume this happened because I forgot to make air holes in the bottle, and it was tightly pressed against the soil. I fixed it, and the next day, the sprout was doing well again.
I still haven't watered the soil; the sprouts have enough moisture from the greenhouse effect inside the bottles for growth.
The second week has started. The plants are doing well, and I’ve started watering them with about 100-150 ml every day. I lowered the lights to about 30 cm above the plants and increased their power to 70%. I’ll begin using additional fertilizers next week.
Day 11. The second sprout is a bit behind in its development, but overall, it's doing fine. To be honest, I still don't understand what caused the slowdown in growth. Maybe it has slightly weaker genetics?
Hello everyone! The third week of growth has begun, and it's already noticeable how the active vegetative stage is starting. The plants are doing well. Every day, I increase the amount of watering and add 25% of the total vegetative fertilizer formula to the solution.
Hello everyone, the fourth week of vegetation has started. The plants are feeling great, and I'm gradually increasing the amount of nutrients to avoid stressing the plants too much. Today, I started training the plants using the LST technique. Later on, I will also apply the ScrOG technique. I'd be happy to discuss my plants with you and hear your advice, as well as answer any questions you may have. Good luck to everyone!
Hello everyone again, I'm happy to announce the start of the fifth week of vegetation, and everything is going great, the plants are feeling fantastic! This week, I’ve started using LST training more actively. You can already see the additional colas forming on the plants. For the second week now, I’ve been watering the plants using 100% of the golden formula: 2.1 ml/l of micro and 2.3 ml/l of bloom. This week, the watering volume should reach 3-3.5 liters per plant. Soon, when I switch the lights to a 12-12 light cycle and flowering begins, I’ll share my formula for that period, which will change slightly. Wishing everyone a great week!
The sixth week of the vegetative period has begun. This week greeted me with active growth, especially in the first few days after watering. Besides LST training, I’m not using any other techniques since I don’t want to extend the vegetative phase. I’m watering with the same formula (2.1 ml/l - míček and 2.3 ml/l - bloom). The plants are doing great, though the tips of the upper leaves got slightly burnt, so I had to reduce the lamp power a bit and increase the distance between them and the plants, which is now about 40-45 cm. In the photos, you can see how the plant is growing wider, rather than taller, thanks to LST training. I also specifically chose a low-growing strain, as the size of my grow box is quite limited. I estimate there are a couple more weeks of vegetative growth left before I switch the light cycle to 12-12.
I’ll be happy to share more information with you in the future. Wishing everyone a successful grow and a great high!
The seventh week of vegetation has begun, and the plants are doing great. On day 44, I applied SCROG training to evenly fill the entire grow box space and allow the lower plant colas to reach the same level as the others.
Watering has increased to 4-4.5 liters, using the same nutrient formula as in previous weeks. I haven’t checked the pH, but judging by the rich color of the leaves and their healthy appearance, the acidity seems to be fine, likely in the 6.4-6.5 pH range.
The plants have nearly reached the ideal size for my grow box, so at the end of the seventh week, I’ll switch the light cycle to 12/12 to transition them into the flowering stage.
Wishing everyone good vibes!
Hello everyone! The eighth week of vegetation has begun, and the plants have reached their maximum height for my grow box. I’ve switched the light cycle to 12-12. Flowering is expected to start within the next two weeks. I’ll gradually adjust the nutrient formula by reducing the amount of micro nutrients and increasing the bloom nutrients. Each plant now requires about 5 liters of water. Overall, everything is going great—no diseases or deficiencies so far.
Hello everyone, it's now the ninth week since the seeds sprouted and the second week since switching the light schedule to 12/12. The plants are doing great, showing the first signs of flowering and have stretched quite a bit. Next week, I’ll do some light defoliation, trimming off large leaves, small unnecessary branches at the bottom, and leaving only the main, strong colas.
I’m gradually reducing the amount of Micro and increasing the amount of Bloom in the nutrient formula.
Wishing everyone a great week!
Hello everyone again! It's the tenth week, and the active flowering phase has begun, with beautiful dandelions—the first inflorescences—appearing. At the start of the week, I did some light defoliation: removed large fan leaves and lower colas that don't get enough light and consume part of the plant's energy. The plants are feeling great. I completely switched the nutrient formula to one designed for flowering. Watering has increased to 5 liters. The root system is well-developed, and I think I'll need to increase the watering volume to 5.5 liters next week. I also increased the lamp power to 85–90%.
Wishing everyone a great weekend and successful grows!
Hi everyone!
I haven’t updated the journal much over the past few weeks because nothing particularly interesting has been happening.
The plants are still doing great. I water them about once every four days; sometimes I forget because of how busy I am with work, but overall, it’s enough, and they don’t seem to be too stressed.
The buds are getting denser by the day, and the smell coming from the grow box is just incredible—I love it!
I’ve already tried smoking a couple of small buds from the lower branches after drying them using a double boiler method. The effect is already very impressive.
It’s now the sixteenth week, and there are about two or three weeks left until harvest.
Hello everyone! I skipped posting for a week because almost nothing has changed.
Now it's the 19th and final week of flowering. I've started flushing the soil to bring the PPM down to the required levels of 200-300, and by the end of this week, I'll be cutting down the little ones. I've already tried a few small buds, and the effect has pleasantly surprised me. The smell coming from the grow box is very strong and delicious!
See you at the harvest!
Hey everyone!
I finally harvested the entire crop, and the buds have been drying for about five days.
The result: 340 grams of dry buds. They’re now going into a dark place for curing.
The taste and effect are already great and strong!
