So I just started this tent up recently. I'm totally new to indoor growing and really enjoying/looking forward to share my experiences. I have experimented with LST and mainlining outdoors extensively, to prepare for this. I'm doing a run of 4 freakshow regulars from 7East genetics. My next run will be all Autoflowers from White Widow Seed Bank; Stealth Fighter, Girl Scout Cookies, Super Smoothie, Skunk Cheese, Sweet Tooth is also an option, keeping it to 4 plants though. I have an Mi5 Auto as well that I plan to run solo. I absolutely love mutated strains and am doing Stealth Fighter, Freakshow F9, Dr Grinspoon, and trying to get my hands on Suberfuge for next year's outdoor season. This week 1 has been so much fun to see these girls(hopefully) sprout up and show their mutations well. I'm really looking forward to putting these girls through some training and seeing how they look. I have a curious mind and am willing to try anything. Nothing notable has happened as of yet besides maybe a little bit too much wind from my fans. Happy growing all!

Overall a pretty smooth week 2. A bit of an issue with heat when I turn bloom on with veg with the small space and this light, but I'm working on it.

I've started to add just a drop of ph perfect micro/grow/bloom every other watering. I plan to top them at the 6th or 7th node and start mainlining. Another good transition it felt, I added a humidifier and have gotten the temps stable.

Again, no complaints here with this transition. Smooth as butter so far. Besides maybe not adding my oscillating fan early enough, one had a bit of a lean. I topped them all, 1 a day prior, the next 3 after that. So far it's been a solid response. Once they heal up a bit I'm going to take the lower stuff off bellow the 3rd node and get them ready to mainline or manifold. I am also attempting to clone the tops to put them in 24hrs of darkness to see if I can get them to show sex. These being reg seeds, I'd like to know asap.

Not a bad week all in all. Their responses to the training has been swift, some great growth going on. I have yet to start LST for the mainlining, kind of letting the branches get going a bit more. I left the 2nd nodes on one plant, I'm going to use 4 arms instead of two for that one. I do have a bit of a nute burn going on, I started to feed a bit early I think, considering I'm using fox farm ocean forrest. I'm not very concerned about it to be honest, once my soil dries out I'm just going to give them some phed water and get them back to normal. Happy growing all.

This week has been a bit of a change. I added a pink Kush clone I've had for a long time in isolation, trained it after a transplant and it settled in. Got the freaks mainlined and have been working on the pinching every other day, plus I've added rhino skin to their feedings for the time being. I just want to say, any new growers thinking about growing like I was when I purchased my set up; do your research and do not order from indoorgrowingcanada.com. They burned me on nutes and I spent 3x what I should have on my entire set up, if I had known better at the time. That being said, my exhaust fan has failed. I've been able to keep the temps low when I can have my ac on but they've been fluctuating more than I'd like them to be. If I don't get home at lights on to get that ac going things get hot fast. I'm either getting a replacement sent out or buying an ac infinity by the end of the week. I'll be adding a new raised floor to the tent soon once I can figure out what I'm building it out of. Happy growing folks.

Oooof, long weekend. Late on update. Temps have been hot, 35 at one point when I couldn't get home to turn the ac on. So, still no exhaust fan, one on the way. Things have still been doing well, considering. I didn't get much time to pay attention to these girls this week. Outside has been a lot of work. Also setting up my 5x5x8 in the next few weeks to move everything over there, waiting for a 10inch exhaust and filter, and thinking about an hlg 600 rspec. This 3x3x6 will become a mother tent.

Got the new exhaust fan set up, loving it already. Shout out to AC Affinity for a speedy delivery and a product that was super easy to install, light weight and works amazing. I feel like I've got a much better set up than I had before, ive learned a lot since when I first set this tent up so it was a good chance to re-do the fan and filter set up. Also give things a good clean. The freaks are really close to the point where I think I may flip them. Im setting up my 5x5x8 after this weekend, so by that time maybe I'll flip them when I move things over. The pink Kush hasn't been the same since things hit 35, I've been trying to keep her in a spot where she's getting less light. Once that 5x5x8 is up I'll have a better chance of getting her recovered. Trying my best, just chopped her mother and the terps are phenomenal!

Still been running around like a chicken with it's head... That said, I flipped them, they're all settled into their new home. I'm going to defoliate at next lights on. The stretch is going down, as soon as my trellis comes in I'll be adding it. Waiting on an inflow fan, but temps have been perfect in the 5x5x8. Should find out how many males I've got soon. Happy growing folks.

Week 2 brought 2 males with it 😭. I've got a local breeder interested in the one, it stinks, grows perfectly, and is super sticky. He's going to try a cheesy fire og x freakshow. I finished the first scrog and got it up. I know it's not a true scrog. After doing this and learning a lot from researching the method I'll be going a different route once I pop my next round of seeds after the clones leave the veg tent. I am pretty happy with how it turned out though, going to add the second at some point this week. Happy growing everyone!

So, woodchips, I know starve the soil of nitrogen, at first. From my understanding in the long run it would be more beneficial? I'm moving to full organic in the next run and from there on so any references would be very helpful!

Hey man. You wanna use hay straw or bark mulch for a top cover. You can also use clover seeds 🍀. As a cover and that is great to use. It helps keep N in the soil and at the top.

Male factory! Male factory! 1/4 freaks are female, way she goes Rick! I put everything into the flower tent, bent the chocolate mint in half and squeezed her into the scrog. Gave them some supplemental light from a second "1200w" I'm borrowing for the time being. Looking at some spider farmers or meiju lights within the next couple weeks. Happy growing folks!

Pretty smooth week all around. Looking forward to things progressing from here on. The clones are super stretchy, however I've been having fun tucking and braiding them throughout the trellis. Happy growing folks!

Not an awful week, not great though. I seem to have developed a fungus gnat issue, albeit small as of yet I'm taking appropriate measures to get rid of them. First I drenched all the pots with a 1:4 peroxide:water mixture(1l total liquid) and let the soil dry out over a few days(it was already fairly dry). Once that dried I added nematodes to each pot. I've given the nematodes 4 days so far and I'm adding defender mites(stratiolaelaps scimitus) to the soil tomorrow. I have yellow traps everywhere as well. I'm also getting rid of my wood chips(most of them) for the rest of this grow for a faster drying time on my soil. I'm really happy how the freak has been turning out. I'm super excited to try it! Happy growing folks!

Every day it gets more interesting. Removed rhino skin for the rest of flower, adding bud candy. The freak has an amazing smell, gf says cat piss, I'd have to agree, but with a bit of lemon in the background. I'm really looking forward to it. The zerbs have a lovely fruity aroma, almost like a pear or mango. The chocolate mint is earthy with a very subtle mint smell, it is really hard to notice if you aren't looking for it. Freaks been bulking up this week with some vigor, such an interesting plant to watch grow. I'm pretty sure my IPM worked as well, I have not seen any new adult fungus gnats on my sticky traps, *knocks on wood*. Till next week! Happy growing folks! PS; New light coming Friday, HLG Scorpion Rspec 🤩

So, I updated my light. Got rid of the viparspectra and got the HLG Scorpion Rspec, love it. I'm going to add 2 UVB bars eventually, but till then I'm done. The girls have responded very well to it, of course. The freak is about 2-4 weeks out I'm thinking, flowering time for them I've seen is 8-11 weeks, but the trichomes don't lie and I'll be keeping my eyes on them. The zerbs and chocolate mint are doing aiight 🤷. The freaks the star of the show, c'mon now. I got my scope out to take a look at those freaky trichs and I wasn't let down. Happy growing folks!

Late update, been pretty busy. Looks like this will be the last update for the freak while it's alive! I'm harvesting either Sunday or Monday. I'm really excited to try her smoke! I may reveg her as well, depending on how far long the zerberts and chocolate mint are next week. They're starting to beef up, but no cloudy trichs in sight yet. They are 2 weeks behind the freak. The freak has some insane trichomes on it, lime green, red and the normal ambers, as well as some really interesting ones that married and continued to grow further into others. At lights on today she was sagging a bit under the weight of the buds so I braced her a bit and gave her some water/reduced feed. I've really enjoyed this one. Hopefully, if I do reveg her i can get her cloned up for a solid run. The home stretch feels really good right now. Happy growing folks! (all trichomes are from the freak) Ps; don't mind the cat hair, she's too cute to kick out of the tent when she comes to help water!!!

She's finished. My freak that made it through the first 4 full run I've done inside. I've got a lot of feelings for this grow, that I'm sure won't be the same throughout the next ones. I started this run in my 3x3x6, not much indoor knowledge besides basics. Thankfully I have a solid core group of people around. I was gifted the 5x5x7 and put it to work asap with what I had. I've been working hard, trying to learn as mush as I can about soil and this plant we all hold so dearly. I'm really digging deep into this and trying my hardest to come out with a solid personal product. If I can supply my close family members for their medicinal needs, bonus 👍. This has been a long road, even though its only been 4 months.I feel like I grew as a person as much as these beauties have, just time for me to keep it going. Thanks for Freakin at the freakers ball with me folks. Y'all keep Freakin the Funk. Stay freaky. Happy growing folks! I'll update tastes and affects when the time comes. I'm aiming for at least a 10 day dry time. 🤟
