May have jumped the gun creating this as Germination has just begun. Took a few years off from this game, back at it and extremely excited as since I stopped growing indoor there was always something missing, it was this. Very excited with all of this new tech. Going to try my hand at Led/tent growing and incorporate some techniques from my previous 10 years experience into an entirely new system while using the same old tried, trusted and true Nutes from AN.
Finally starting to see some ample growth from day to day, assuming I had my light much too far away and that accounted for the even slower growth than usual. Upped my nutes a bit as I’m assuming there is enough root mass to start utilizing my reservoir and aeroponics. As well I will do my first pinch tomorrow and begin some LST. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as although not new to the game I am new to almost every aspect of this new grow.
Ideal time to begin LST ? Any tips and/or tricks? In the past I have just pinched and pinched until I had 6-8 main colas, but I intend to use 2-3 scrog nets and LST to attempt an even canopy.
Start your ScrOG at 8-12" tall. Flip to bloom once the net is nearly filled. Not recommended for autos. You should only need 1 net, if you use a second, it's only for supporting the buds.
Overall a very good and productive week. Explosive growth throughout the last 4-5 days for sure. And I’m going to attribute it partially to Microbial Mass. was gifted a sample by my local shop, thoroughly impressed so far. Have been applying LST for the last 4 days and she’s starting to fill out nicely. Did an initial topping at the 5th node, going to let her go a little nuts this week in order to obtain a couple clones in case I decide to keep this one around. (May have to because it looks as though I may never be able to obtain Jungle Boys seeds in Canada sadly. Which has been a 6 month search already!) trying to obtain the ultimate wedding cake genetics , since she is one of my “saviour strains” got off track here lol. Can really see where the LST is going to pay off huge, as opposed to just topping repeatedly. Still learning with this reservoir and keeping it in the optimum temp range 68f. Upped my nutes a bit yesterday as well, hoping she reacts accordingly and gives me a couple great clones by the beginning of next week. But rooting without my cloner May be a huge struggle! As my numbers before purchasing a cloner were not good at all.
