Started this grow a few weeks ago. It will be my first attempt at DWC.
Soaked seeds for about 24 hours until cracked. Put into rock wool cube.
Will get the diary up to date.
Ok diary is up to date. The plant is growing ok. Might be a bit slow as it’s winter here and I grow in a shed
Still got them cabbage leaves. I still have 2 seeds left. I’m keen to pop another one to see if it has more normal looking leaves.
I think I will top it this coming week.
So this girl is a bit of a mutant. She’ll be interesting to grow. She threw out a set of fan leaves without suckers at the node and now it is throwing out nodes on the fan leaf stem??? Hope the pictures explain it better.
I’ve lowered the res to 0.8 EC and switched to better quality nutes.
I topped her above the 4th node and removed the 1st nodes. With her mutation I’m thinking I’ll leave nodes 2,3 &4 and see how it grows...
Thanks for looking in
I dropped back the EC this week. She doesn’t seem to mind at all. I took some clones but they didn’t root.
She’s still a bit freaky. I really like her and I’m looking forward to see what she does in flower.
I have more CMOG beans and I think I’ll drop another one in the next couple of weeks. I’m trying to start a perpetual grow. This CMOG will be the next to move into the flower tent together with a Dinachem and will join 2 Blue Cheese which are in week 2 from flip.
Gave her a daily heavy defol/lollipoping this week and moved her to the flower tent. She won’t win any prizes for yield but I’m confident that the buds she does produce will be quality. Time will tell...
Sorry for the lack of photos. I’ll start taking more once buds start to develop
1 week since flip. Hasn’t stretched much. She’s been drinking and taking in nutes like a champ.
Promise I’ll make more effort with pictures once we see some flowers.
Nearing the end of week 2 from flip. Hoping to see a bit more stretch out of her over the next few days. Buds are just starting to form.
Her roots are looking nice and healthy and she is drinking almost 2L a day. She’s handling 1.6 EC very well. I’ve just done a res change on her so I’ll probably bump up to 1.8 EC next res change.
She’s responded well to the lollipoping right before flip. I’m used a technique I saw Kyle Kushman use where you remove all the potential bud sites keeping only the very top of each top. All the fan leaves are also kept.
I plan on doing a pretty heavy defol at the end of this week or start of next week depending on the bud development.
Promise I’ll take more pics as buds develop.
Thanks for dropping by
She’s healthy enough. Definitely a light feeder.
She’s got a mutation that’s pretty much confined to only one branch. The branch has a ridge in the middle similar to a celery stalk. There are groups of three fan leaves growing out the middle of the stalk. It’ll be interesting to see how this branch fills out with bud.
Have any of you seen anything like this before?
Edit - the mutation is called fasciation. I’ll probably cut off this branch and let the plant put the energy into the remaining tops. It would have been fun to see it flower but she’s already going to be a low yielder
@Inganjawetrust, thanks man. I had to cull one of the blue cheese in the back of this pic because it hermed. Thankfully the remaining one is free of balls at this stage
@darksides999, I hope I’m using the right terminology when I say lollipoping... Right before flipping her I stripped off all flowering sites below the very tip of each of the tops. The only flowering sites I’ll have are ones that have grown since the flip. Hoping for an easy trim. Not too fussed about getting big yields. I hope it works out as planned
