Hi All Excited about my 1st late Winter/Early Spring Grow. 24/08 Temps today and for the week forecasted to avg at 25 centigrade. Night temps will avg 13. 1st spring rains forecasted for early next week. Lets hope for some good mild rain. I must make it clear that I do not know any of the strains of the seeds and plants I am growing. However being in close proximity to Swaziland I suspect they may be of Swazi-Gold lineage. I have atleast 15 seedling at various Stages of development. But will focus on 3 plants on this diary going forward. The other plants may be featured in separate diaries time permitting ;). This btw is an “experiment grow project”. Some in pots (started out indoors in winter) Some direct into soil, however growth was extremely slow due to the harsh outdoor conditions in peak winter (June/July). None have yet revealed sex. Although plant 1 and 2 and 3 are expected to mature in the week or the next few 🤞🏽. Soil used was normal garden soil (Ph untested) with store bought and homemade compost. Only training techniques used are, topping, fimming and minor defoliations on the slightly more mature plants. Will keep this grow as natural as possible until harvest. Sho/Ciao! 26/08 Pretty hot day today. Max Temp @ 27 deg. Took off a bunch of leaves from Plant 1. For better air circulation and light penetration as seen on pic. No Preflowers yet. Impatiently waiting for those babies to start forming. Plant 2 had a some small branches removed and atempted to do something of a Mainline. Not sure if it turned out good or average *shrugs* Other random scattered plants in the garden bed growing slow but steadily. Hopefully still getting used to the outdoors and developing some strong roots & stems to hold it up before focusing on above ground growth. Ciao 30/08 End of week update. We've had pretty cool and mostly overcast weather. Intermittent dense rain clouds, but no rain. Patiently waiting for the 1st Summer rains". Plant 1 very healthy. Super impressed with the growth rate of it, especially the thickening of branches and stems. Every morning it seems to look differnt than the previous night. No Sexing yet. Plant 2 not much above ground growth observed since the major defoliation and mainlining done during the week. I suppose its still healing itself. Will transplant this one into a bigger pot in the coming weeks. No Preflowers as yet either. Plants growing steadily. Most of the scattered garden plants growing steady too. No growth spurt yet, stems getting firmer and thicker tho. No Preflowers as yet. Yeah folks, that's the end of the week. Tommorow (Monday) we feed all plants and maybe training. Hopefully some will begin to flower during the upcoming week. May Green be the Grass! Ciao

24/09/20 Hey Folks Long time since I updated my diary, Iv been busy with other personal projects and some work around the house. Basically since the last update, Iv had some good and bad fortune. But overall good progress. The Good News is that we have 3 females, Yassss! 2 plants were male and these were immediately uprooted and thrown out. Repotted p#2 into a bigger 45cm pot. Think this will be her final resting place 👀😂. We’ll see how big she wants to be... p#3 Dwarf with budlets along main stem developing. Looking good so far. Plants were also moved to their final spot in the ground. I moved them into soil I had just harvested garden peas from. I read somewhere that pea plants enrich the soil in which they grow with high amounts of Nitrogen. Another reason I repositioned these was to keep my grow project discreet and away from nosey neighbour's sight. Overall the plants are looking healthy and have begun, perhaps some have ended on their preflowering stretch (2nd Week), despite the minor transplant shock experienced on the day they were replanted. Training/Grow techniques: Fimming, Topping and defoliation. Average Day/Night Temps: 28/12 centigrade Regular loamy/clay soil, with balanced water soluble nutes. 26/09 A fellow newbie grower recommended a super soil that I was surprised to find at my town’s nursery. Mixed this into the soil and also got some bone meal too that I sprinkled lightly on the surface.. Will see how they respond to this TLC in the coming week. Will also attempt supper cropping at the start of next week. Other than that, just checking on the plants every AM/PM. Till next week. May green be the grass ;) Ciao

Surprised to see this little runt flower so beautifully when shes so short and stumpy. Anyone know potentially how much bigger she can get?? Shes about 10cm tall but so far has by volume most flowers on it. Could this be an autoflower or a stunted dwarf that flowered Early?

I would bet shes an autoflower, the way she grows,, looks like Autoflowers like light and fluffy soil... I think her soil// ground around her was to hard for her Or you started her in small pots...... I dont think shes going to reveg Greetings to SA

Good start to the week. After adding super soil and a speinkle of bone meal on the girls they seem to be doing very well. The colour and structure are as full Iv ever seen. Because its going so great and I dont wanna Fc*kitup iv decided to completely stop any chemical nutrients and just provide water daily. 28 Sept P# 1&2 are in flower and pistils are starting to form buds. Both have been suppercropped and Iv also removed some lower smaller leaves. This was my 1st real major attempt at HST. It went well. Didn't break any branches. Nice low profile and even ‘canopy’ achieved. Lets see what this does for budsite development & growth. Thats all for now. Will keep and eye on them and update on any major changes or issues. May Green be the Grass 🍃 Sho/Ciao 30 Sept Last day of sept. figured id give a short update. p#2 got a somewhat drastic haircut/trimming. She got crazy bushy less than 24hrs after the supercrop I did 2 days ago. Girl perked right up. Also her smell is starting to get more noticeable. So far its a typical midlife ‘weed plant’ scent. I also did something that I could pay for severely. I transplanted p#3 that turns out to be an auto flower from the the dirt. I did this because 1. I thought the soil was hard and sandy and needed some working. Shes now in compost/supersoil mix. 2. I just wanted to watch this girl up-closely develop as shes my 1st! Think she starting to form shiny clear trichomes. Will update how she does in a couple more days.

What could cause this little plant to flower so early in grow season (S-Hem spring) other than it being an auto-flower? If photoperiod...Could it Stress out/herm seeing as the grow season just started? Any Guestimation of final g/oz??

Hey! If she started flowering that small, it's most likely an auto flower. As the sun hours increase slowly, I don't think she'll stress or herm. Autos can bloom easily with 18 hours of sun. That's supposing it's an auto ofcourse.. as for yield with that size anywhere from 5-10 grams.. depends how she fattens up in flower. On another note, that plant your super croping seems to be starting to flower as well, there were a good amount of pistils on the tops. Hope this helped. Good luck and happy growing!

Good week. Plants stretching out nicely now. Had some good rain last week for a couple of days. Very warm dry week forecasted. Still just bending, trimming and watering. Plants fed K-sol every other watering. The dwarf is looking super dope and very advanced in flowering. Cant wait to cut her down and taste her. Will be watching her closely till harvest. Ciao!

Iv seemingly accidentally grown an Autoflower plant. Shes doing great btw. Been reading how to tell when its harvest time. Does anyone know how much long I should keep her in flower before the chop, only by visual judgement. Appreciate any recommendations.

Looks pretty decent. Still a bit early for harvest. Wait a bit longer until those pistils darken up some more. If you have a jewelers loupe you can watch for the trichs to start to change from milky white to amber which is your best bet for telling when its ready.

Hey Growmies 26 October New week starting. Previous week was pretty uneventful just watering the plants and checking for sex and disease only. Nothing major. Was feed K rich nutes every other day. I also add used coffee grounds to the soil surface. I trimmed both plants this morning. Iv Posted before and after pics of both plants. Dont want to go too overboard with the trimming. Watering daily and feeding every other day still. Coffeee grounds will continue to be be added to the soil. Plants are looking healthy imo. Although I could be wrong I do think i might have a reveging situation. If you recalll Spring only began on Sept 1st? So we still have a loooong growing season ahead of us. Makes sense to think they would both reveg? Id prefer them not to lol. Plant has pretty pink/purple pistils. Purple swazi?? The plants are also starting to smell pretty strong and hard to not notice, hopefully they dont attract too much ATT. Anyhow, till next update, hopefully in the week. Ciao/sho Happy growing!

Hey folks 2 Nov New week. Last week flew right?. Anyhow weve hada mix of weather this past week. Some really hot 31C temps to milder very rain and cloudy days. The plants are loving it however. Iv decided for the time being to stop using chemical nutes and keep the grow organic, which is why I switched to a handful of bonemeal on the surface of each plant. Will see how they respond. Plant 1 doing really great! Really impressed by this plant. Its also very pretty with pink purple buds and has not once showed any signs of sickness. It just keeps low and bushy and keeps shooting up those buds. They top buds are gradually fattening up nicely as the leaves of the plant become dark green. Plant 2 confuses me a bit. Its in flower alright but the rate of bud produ tion is super slow, and pistil count at 1 time is also low??? Reveging maybe?? Looks very healyhy however Plant 3 almost ready for harvest. Been flushing for a week now, waiting of the final pistils stzge and ambering of trichs before chopping Iv also included some pictures of my growth patch with smaller plants surrounding. An Outdoor SOG??? Till next time growmies Sho/ciao
