Germination Started 24/8/20
Soaked for 12 hours then using Royal Queen Seeds Easy start seed germinator for my seedlings. Germinated 28th and 30th
Day 3. Stunned one seedling by trying to remove seedling casing too soon.😰🌱 Note to self, let the seedling casing come off on its own. She bounced back thankfully! 😅😅😅
Excited for the new fan in the new growspace. Only moving from 80x80 to 1m x 1m when the plants get bigger but don't think 4inch extractor will cut it so I got this beast!
Day 15/17 upping the nutrients to 1.5ml per litre of a and b and adding some potassium silicate and liquid Seaweed too.
Leaves are pointing upwards so great sign that they're happy and sucking up the light. Little disappointed in the lux of my grow lights but they are budget ones.. will be looking to upgrade them in the future maybe on the next grow.
New Growspace, from 80x80 to 1x1m, New filter+extraction fan. Plants got 2 hours of interrupted light, hope it didn't shock them too much.
New ratchet straps are great for adjusting light height, don't know how I managed without them...
oh yeah I adjusted plant height instead of light with boxes and tables haha.
Day 28-34
Abandoned LST as I feel they haven't responded well to my method of LST bending down the main stem probably too early. Then had to remove one fan leaf from each plant as the good parts have been covered up as the plant stood back up. One plant doing better than the others. Soon as I cut the ties it's exploded out in all directions in just last 24hrs.
Awaiting Mars Hydro TSW2000 to kick things into gear as these are budget grow lights.
No early signs of flowering and pistols which I'm glad for want them to veg more first. I think because they're stretching their roots in their bigger pots.
Things have not being going so well. Plant began clawing.. I believed it was underwatering instead of overwatering as it was happy 12 hours after watering but 48 hours after looked very sad.
Then lots of purple discoloration turning brown.. gave them a flush of plain water, then following day a small dose of a+b (25% usual dose) at 6ph instead of 5.8
I believe plant has phosphorus deficiency from nutrient lockout.
Despite all this my babies are still stretching no doubt at a reduced rate. Possibly the worst time to get nutrient burn when going into flower..
On the other had they start to smell gorgeous. Checking them all the time like a worried parent and hoping I'm making the right steps forward.
I changed so many things on this grow and I can't blame the plants from being shocked. Tent, inline fan and former, light.
Plants appear to have recovered from last week's nutrient lockout. Started getting their colour back as they were yellowing from nutrient lockout and easing them back into normal feeding. So glad they look healthy again, just hope the buds mature nicely.
Flower sites getting bigger ever day, even on the skinny tall girls at the back. Made a few mistakes along the way but I believe changing all equipment didn't help around the time of the nutrient lockout.
I can't explain the smell these flowers are making. It's like nothing experienced before. I have to say I like it! But can't explain it.. will have to wait longer for the smell to build. It's more like a herb garden than a tomato vine! 😝
Despite all the speed bumps I've had these girls and fattening up the buds and still have some weeks to go! So happy they recovered although one looks underfed.. I've defoliated some of the struggling leaves to stop the plant putting effort trying to recover them and focus on the buds. Despite this usually being bad for autos I think it's needed and willing to take the gamble. They smell so unusual but gorgeous!!
I really didn't think the buds would come along very well after mid grow nute burn but they're starting to fatten up week by week. More like day by day! I'm feeling happy again that there will be some nice buds before they run out of time! 😍
Loving the purple leaves and unique smell. Trichomes all looking cloudy but new buds popping through on the sides and not really many amber yet. 2 plants seem Futher behind with more new pistels as they were more burned by nutes few weeks ago.
so may finish 2 plants slightly earlier than the other 2.
Going into week 12 and new pistils from the calyxes are forming however the 2 most mature plants have slowed down and I'd say a week ahead in maturity due to early mistakes I made with the premature ones. Going to start flush for harvest at end of the week and allow few days to dry in containers before chopping. All the buds seem really dense and I'm excited for a dry weight in.
@DansHampf, Hi mate, I have the light high enough to spread across the 4 plants and on full power. Probably 8 inches from top of plants. They recommend 12 inch during flower but some of mine thin and tall. When I first got the light I put the power lower, 50% for a day then 75% for 2 more. until they got used to it.
Hi
I'm a 1st time grower using coco/perlite and hornet nutes a+b with canna calmag
Currently only just after germinated stage, I'm gonna follow your diary for an idea on feeding schedule as not much info out there
I know I'm gonna run into problems as a 1st timer
I havent got an intake fan, my money kinda dried up
Some say I don't need one, others say I do
I've only got a small tent 62cmx62cmx130cm
Yesterday was their 1st day in the tent but had to get 2 fans on it yesterday as was 30°
So bit concerned how I'm gonna keep the heat down
An A/C regulator or intake fan?
Either way I'm getting disheartened by all the extra expenses I'm experiencing
This website is gonna be my lifesaver though 💯🙏🏼💯
