The seed spent 12 hours float in a glass of water. When poked it dropped to the bottom so I placed it into into damp kitchen paper and into a plastic sandwich bag. Starting this one because another seed failed. So I placed this into the tent for warmth from the lights but wrapped a black tshirt around it to keep out the brightness. Root tip was a cm long after 12hrs so placed it in a rootIt plug after wetting it with some light nutrient solution. Popper the humidity dome on and away we go. Let's hope she'll take off and not leave my other plant an only child. Update: Her tap root flew down to the bottom of the rooter pod and kept going. I was worried about the like of branching roots but she eventually produced those today. So with the roots system matured I transplanted her into a solo cup. 67% coco and 33% perlite. She looks so tiny in there but hopefully in a few days time she'll need to be transplanted into her final pot.

I was worried she was growing slowly but no serious issues so she can take her time! Leaving her in the solo cup until she develops another node or two. Added in the second light so she now has the whole output of the LED to herself.

Finally transplanting her to her final fabric pot from the solo cup. Upped the nutrient intake and there were some signs of nitrogen deficiency on the other plant and I was too lazy to adjust the mix for both! This one is about a week behind the other so it will hopefully prevent it occurring in this one. Also had what looks like some other deficiency which caused holes in the leaves. It looks like bugs but nothing there under microscope. Once the transplant shock is overcome I'll be topping her and starting last.

- Monday - Accidentally damaged a fan leaf last week but she seems to have recovered. I left to tops to grow for a few days but have now got then under soft tie restraints. Will leave her grow a few nodes on each topped side before topping again. Received my TDS pen so I can more accurately feed. The markings on the droppers I use for adding nutrients are somewhat faded so this helps eliminate the guesswork. All in all a good week. It's around this time I usually accidentally damage some delicate top shoots so In doing my best to be gentle! - Wednesday - I predicted my own downfall! Damaged one of the tops but managed to use tape to reattach. - Thursday - The stem is noticeably thinner on that side (that I reattached with tape) now but not much I can do about that! Just glad I saved it from dying altogether. - Friday - Topped the 4 shoots and that will be the end of the topping. Just need to give them time to grow some length between them, let them into place and set it to flowering in a week hopefully.
