First time with everything, a lot of products I wanted was out of stock so had to use alternative things to get it all in place. Bought new things for my setup as time went on and experimented with different nutrients and growing gear. It was a hell of a struggle to get everything in place. Started growing both indoor and outdoor in the winter, yes outdoor is a pain during the wrong seasons so learned my lesson. Indoor setup in the winter the day time temps was around 17C to 21C with night temps to about 13C to 16C.
I started growing weed to fix my own health. I am a disabled person since 2018 due to brain stroke so only have access to one working hand and foot. I have experimented with Cannabis oil that decreased my brain inflammation so I believe healing with cannabis is possible. We had been in Lock down since March 2020 so decided to take on a new healthy challenge and growing weed since it is legal to grow your own made me jump right in it. I bought some local potting soil with 2 x 9L pots for outdoors and only bought small trays for indoor seedlings. Eventually after the first week of indoor growing, I received my fabric pots for the indoor plants.
My setup since week 1
* 1,5m x 1,5m x 2m Growtent
* Elektra Humidifier with both hot steam and cool mist function 7,5 Liter tank
* 3 x 100W custom Led lights (Blue spectrum mostly)
* 2 x 9L plastic pots
* 2 x 30dm Local potting soil
* 80L of 70/30 Coco coir and Perlite
* Nutriplex Trio Nutrients
* Mycoroot powder
* Cal Mag
* Kelpak
* Humidity and temp meter
* small fan
Planting
* after germination I planted 5x RQS special queen in coco, 3 x RQS Special queen in potting soil, 1 x Jack Herer Auto in coco and 1 x Northern Light in coco
Running 3 x 100W custom Led lights.
The big plant on left is 6 weeks older than the rest (friend gave it to me which were grown outdoors, she has to wait for others to catch up)
The plants are small for week 4 but I know I don't have the best equipment so decided to keep looking for better lights with a stronger PAR value. My current lights didn't come with par values of any kind, was very affordable and managed to get last stock.
The plants in potting soil are extremely small and grow slowly, with my pH soil meter it measured 6.5 to 6.8 so I decided to use only rain water since signs of overfeeding showed. Weather are up and down, very unstable here. I also had to deal with mildew in week 2 and 3 with transplant shock (made a lot of errors but lessons learned)
Considering to put the 3 small plants in potting soil outside and only indoors at night.
Did no training or topping of any kind
Starting of week 5 the plants showed signs life and started to grow, only nute I used was some fish emulsions I received as a gift at the end of week 4.
Lilith (big plant) measured at 35cm height, rest still small but bigger than the day the week before
On the 5th of Aug I finally got a new Led Light, it is a 90W Lmb301h diodes full spectrum light with solid PAR values. I took out one of the 100W blue lights and replaced it with the new one. The blue light did their job for the cost but I will see what effect this new one will have on the grow.
I also moved the 3 x Special Queen in potting soil outdoors.

9 Aug:
I decided to experiment with some LST.
Improved plant growth.
The light combo seems to work
Planning on buying more of the new light if they can spare me one...
Week 7 was interesting, plants looking happy.
On the 12th I managed to purchase one more 90W full spectrum lmb301h light for my setup and installed it. I removed the 100W blue light leds
On the 13th I topped all the queen seeds and the northern light but not the big queen or jack herer auto
On the 14th I received my purchase of Bio Grow with additional black strap molasses.
On the 15th I added 1 x of the 100W blue lights since the 2 x 90W full spectrum are not enough light coverage for 8 indoor plants.
That is it for this week!
Report on week 8
Plants are growing much better and they are happy
I mist some neem oil this because I saw white flies..not much but still, also added whole black pepper on the coco.
The plants to the right seem to have spots like a rust..measured the run-off @ 5,6-5,8 so added some dolomite lime incase it is calcium and magnesium for nute lockout...tried to push to 6,2 pH
As the week went on, it got worse for the the two queens on the right
20 Aug:
Transplated the big queen in a 19L pot, she had insane root bound in the 7,5L pot, she is in a standard potting soil
That's it for this week..
Till next week fam
Interesting week..
Plants look like cabbages thanks to topping
Autos stretching a bit
Ordered some Bio-Bloom and bloom booster, slowly getting ready for flowering
Great weather this week, I ended up removing the 2 x queens outdoor with the rust leaves, incase they are sick, I don't want it spread to the others
Auto's are flowering so trying to get humidity to 50% and under
I applied light defoliation since it is my first, don't want to to stun them.
Got my bio bloom just before the weekend.
I also tried to improve extraction of air flow, the the 4-6 inch silent series tent fans are out of stock so bought a 6 inch bathroom extractor fan (noisy with the duct) sounds like a vacuum cleaner :s but airflow @ around 180m3/h. Got to do the job for now
Till next week fam
Cancer week for the transition week into flower..I lowered the light on period by 30mins per day up to12/12 on Monday the 7th
week started with super cold rainy weather..
My Jack Heir Auto got attacked by pests..
Droopy plants..from under watering, overwatering into N tox..it drained me to figure out the issues..
high humidity, couldn't get it under 65% so had to invest a high cost in a proper dehumidifier since we have limited products of it in our country..still waiting for delivery which will be in two weeks..rip
Weather got better by thursday and warm weather lowered humidity in air outside, so thankful for that
I also did some light defoliation to the plants..
dealt with alot of gnats in tent, misted plants with 3% peroxide, lemon juice and liquid silica. I also sprinkled whole black pepper and some Dia earth on the coco surface. Didn't want to use neem oil since the auto's are almost 3 weeks in flower
pH issues as well, run-off on sunday(6th) measured at 5.1, I ended up feeding pH balanced water with 4 tsp black strapped molasses per 5liter, plants responded better.
Was a real shitty week but still enjoyed working on the canopy to get ready for full flowering
Till next week fam..
Very nice week, started with full flower in the hot weather so temps are hot, spring season started so days gonna get warmer soon..
Indoor plants:
-I gave water every 3rd day with one watering a week till 10%-20% run-off.
-Saw some signs of either nute burn or lockout (fan leaf tips), all nuts are organic so I try to stick to feeding schedule.
-Did some more defoliation to the plants, removed a lot of fan leaves but not too much.
-Received my dehumidifier so I can keep RH under control
-Run-off measured at 5,2-5,6 pH so will apply some dolomite lime before next watering, want to get run-off above 6 pH
-Accidentally snipped a chuck out of the main cola on my Jack Heir auto, I was sooo pissed at myself for not looking properly.
-Saw some signs of stretching.
Outdoor:
Plants are in flower and pistils are forming nicely but they are small which is cool with me since it is a proper learning experience
Gave them water every 2nd day till run-off
Rust on leaves so still trying to figure out what it is
Strong winds this week but managed to keep the plants in check
Dealing with pests both indoor and out:
I kill alot of black gnats in the tent, no idea how they come in. So this week I made my own foiler pest spray. Calling it the Bom Mix
Contains per 500ml distilled water:
-1ml 3% peroxide
-1ml Neem Oil
-2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
-1ml Liquid silicon plus
-2-3 drops of citronella oil
It smells really nice and I can see the pests hate it so it is good!
Take a look at the pics and comment on what you think of my grow so far.
Happy growing ! till next week
End of week 2 in flower for the indoor queens and end of week 5 on the autos indoor.
End of week 3 in flower for two outdoor queens and end of week 5 in flower for the smaller queens.
Had nice weather overall with good temps, days getting longer.
Still fed bio bizz bloom.grow and fish mix to all plants.
Saw some stretching on the indoor queens but not too much which I'm happy with.
Defoliated the autoflowers a bit to open up space for buds.
Auto's looking fresh with cloudy trichs but they still need to get fat... any advice? Should I just feed some bloom booster with ph water till flush? they are about 3 weeks out till harvest
I took out all the indoor plants one day to give them proper water till run-off with a higher dose of fish mix to encourage the last bit of stretching.
The outdoor Queens are small plants but still a great first learning experience
Thanks for looking at my dairy
Take care and happy growing!
End of week 3 in flower for the indoor queens and end of week 6 on the autos indoor.
End of week 4 in flower for two outdoor queens and end of week 6 in flower for the smaller queens.
Had nice weather again overall with good temps.
Still fed bio bizz bloom,grow and fish mix to all plants. Added some MPK booster and kelp
Going to start with some ripen nutes this week on auto's and outdoor queens.
Was a busy week apart from growing so had to push fast when I got the time to work on the plants.
Love the small outdoor queens they have this purple colour in them which is something to experience as a first time grower.
Thanks for looking at my dairy and happy growing!
End of week 4 in flower for the indoor queens and end of week 7 on the autos indoor.
End of week 5 in flower for two outdoor queens and end of week 7 in flower for the smaller queens.
Week started with great weather but it changed to rain, fog and cold weather for half the week. Thank God for a proper dehumidifier, RH% up to 80-90% this week. Not the best for outdoor plants but what can you do hey.
Still fed bio bizz bloom and grow but took out the fish mix for all plants. I started with the flush on the auto's, signs of amber trics.
Decided against ripen nutes just gonna stick to flushing. I also bought some Fire juice instead of top max from biobizz. It is more affordable and also an organic bloom booster with added fulvic and humic acid. Received it at the end of the week so fed the plants once and I can see a difference.
Outdoor queens are ready for harvest but due to bad weather I decided to stick to flushing since I started the flush at the beginning of the week. The other two queen outdoors have a few weeks to go still.
Thanks for looking at my dairy and happy growing!
End of week 5 for indoor queens and the auto's are almost done, I don't want to extent flowering on autos since I saw amber trics and some foxtailing, so decided to keep feeding with only plain water.
I harvested the 3 x small queen outdoors since they are ready IMO. After chopped I saw many bugs, spiders and black gnats under small leaves. I only removed the fan leaves and sprayed the buds with hydrogen peroxide water to wash of the bugs and so.
On the scale I got 240g wet weight for the 3 x small queens combined. I made a little drying box but after 2 days I have put them into a drying net inside a dark room.
Weather was terrible with only 1-2 days of sun, had rain, fog, clouds and cold wind in the spring season. Outdoor plants had it hard.
As for the other plants they still keep going. I love my LED grow lights but I think they would have flowered better with additional deep red diodes. Will continue to monitor and feed them to hope they can get bigger.
Not really much to add but have a look at the pictures.
Thanks for watching and happy growing
End of week 6 for indoor queens in flower and end of week 8 for auto's flower
Warm weather with high temps, flowers struggling to gain size on the Queens and saw some early signs of nute lockout. My guess the pH of the soil is too acidic (lower than 5)
The auto's will be given a 36-48 hour darkness period at the end of the week.
It would be the last week for my outdoors as well, saw some worm damage on the leaves and flowers turning crispy due to hot weather.
That would be all for this week, thanks!
End of week 7 flower for indoor queens and harvested the auto's and outdoor queens. I will put all the harvests together at the end of all the flower cycles of all the plants will be in 2-3 weeks.
I flushed all my indoor queens with 6.5pH rain water, had too much nutrients with a run-off at 4,7 pH so implemented methods to increase soil ph in the 6-6,5 range.
Warm week with some rain here and there
That is all for now thank you!
End of week 8 for indoor queens
One plant snapped in half at base so had to fix it.
Had to implement techniques to support the weight of the colas since I don't have a trelis net for the tent.
Decided to push one last week on flowering with pure water and then some darkness before harvest
Had some rain storms during the week so had to empty my dehumidifier much more than usual but it is okay with me. Else warm weather with the lowest tent temp at 24 degrees C
Fed only one last dosage of some fire juice with no additional nutes of any kind. Fire juice is organic so I am not too stressed about it affecting the final taste unlike synthetic nutes that need 2 weeks flush to fix salt build up prior harvest.
Else I am satisfied but the plants and colas could have been bigger if I had the right equipment from the start and didn't mess up the transplants.
I am loving the learning experience and have big plans for the harvest to come to further gain experience in cooking with cannabis, I am not really a smoker so prefer an edible for my health.
Oh ye and the smell is fruity and really spicy, smells like cape fynbos!
Until next week guys
Thanks and happy growing!!!
Final week of flowering.
Gave no water or nutes just added some ice on top before the darkness period.
Pushed a few days longer than indicated want the buds and leaves to mature.
Without a net is was a challenge to support the colas but I managed.
I think they could have been bigger and better but I am satisfied with this grow as it was my first indoor cycle and learned a lot by trial and error.
Lovely smell of fruit but mostly spicy! Juicy frosty trics as well with signs of amber
I chopped the 8th of November after a 54 hour darkness period.(62 day flowering) Removed most of the fan leaves, will do a proper dry trim when the time is right.
Will update all my indoor harvests once this is dried and measured.
Thanks for watching!
Not a smoker but I did enjoy a tester and some killer brownies! Smoke is very smooth, no burning sensation or coughs. the brownies knocked me on my ass, I was giggly, horny as fuck and then it translated into a relaxed state. Smell like Cape fynbos, herbs and fruits with some old spice
So my led lights is 180W samsung lmb301h with high eff% at 168W true power. I did 6 total plants. the 4 x RQS special queen plants came out at 170g dried with most of stalks and dry leaves trimmed out. Mathematically 168W/6 plants = 28 True watts per plant. 4 x 28W = 112W. 170g dried/112W = 1,517 gram per watt
Overall my grow with 6 total plants, I pulled 215g dried buds from 168W true power. 215g/168W = 1,28 gram per Watt
Smells like passion fruit to me, haven't smoked, only edible...joh this one knocked me hard, the high was great but the after effects got me a bit depressed with increased heart rate..but considering the high...I felt good, made me horny as well dang and It made my thoughts going...I questioned everything in life in a semi-couch ock style. Either way it was juicy
Very frosty, small buds but the taste is super. Classic indica, relaxed state into some lazy couch lock. great to chill out. Maybe I just had a poor seed but she was challenging to grow
