Here we go again.
2 criticals, bubba Cbd, and dinamed(from left to right)
Still alot of work to be done to finalize the grow room. I now have to replicate this setup on the far side of the room only deeper, for flowering.
The setup was built with diversity in mind. I should be able to switch to almost any recirculation style hydro in a matter of hours.
Fighting a high sodium concentration in my medium. This is a result of me flushing the perlite down with softened water. My untreated water contains 500ppm of mostly lime so I opted for the saltwater. 7 days in the ph is stabilizing.
I am currently giving cal mag and iron through foliar means, everything in my system seems to filter, at least the chelated iron, out.
But wow, these are some strong little weeds, especially the criticals. I have roots exploding upwards and the plants have doubled in size in 7 days. There were ready for a transplant😅
Wow.. these little girls are tanks.
Still trying to balance the system with ph swings up past 7.8, they dont really care... the dinamed looks a little hungry but happy.
I few odds and ends but finally finished the veg section with the cloning section off to the right. I begin construction on the flowering section now.
Looking good.
Ph problems under control, the system has balanced out.
Got rid of some giant leaves to let my future cuttings grab a little more light before the snip.
I am gonna flower these girls out after I take some clones.
These plants are loving life.
Upped the food a bit this week, the dinamed was looking a little hungry.
I will snip clones clones tomorrow.
Hopefully I will have the flowering setup finished soon so I can move these girls over.
Running out of room in the veg section.
I should be ready to move them over in the next few days, but we will see another veg week post as I am lagged behind. Gave them a root prune but I forgot to take pictures😪 they mostly air-prune themselves except for the odd root at the very bottom that make it the the reserve pool.
Moved the plants into their flowering space, will probably veg for another week as I am slow on the lighting.
Wondering, at this point, if I should just flower at 25w each..
End ppm and ph at 400 and 6.5 respectively, start at 720 and 5.8
Last week of veg, I'm running out of room. Light deprivation is becoming apparent, going to install 2 more 26w lights above the criticals for 52w each plant, 26w each for the bubba and dinamed.
156w over 6 lights.
End ph 6.2
End ec 300ppm
Start ph 5.8
Start ec 700ppm
Flower start November 1st
Looking good, one week into flower.
The extra light I added is helping, we will see what these girls can put out with minimal lighting.
The ec usually comes down after a week even though the volume is reduced to approximately a third. This time, however, the ec remained stable so I decided to drain half of the remaining solution before the top up.
I was doing well avoiding excess food but im guessing the switch to flower had something to do with the remaining food in solution.
End ec and ph, 700 and 6.2
Start ec and ph, 800 and 5.8
Moving along,
I am guessing my solution spent most of the week above a ph of 6, the plants are showing.
Did one final root prune to keep the drain clear, took pictures this time.
End ph and ec, 6.4 and 400
Start ph and ec, 5.6 and 820
21 days into flower, these girls are a little slow to start... all of a sudden, the stretch is on
Maintaining a ph of 5.8.
less food this week, as they didnt consume it all
Not much to write home about for this grow.
Cannabis plants need light😅
The buds are basically air but
I'm actually Impressed with how loaded with resin they feel. Hopefully they dont dry out to nothing. I got 300 grams wet from that one plant, fingers crossed.
The other 3 are not too far behind.
What can I say?
I knew this was coming..
Trying to flower these plants at 25w each may not have been the greatest of ideas. Surprisingly, even though the bud density was low, the plant matter itself was quite dense.
This is the most aromatic, and probably most potent, flower I've had in a while, definitely the best I've grown.
Big plant yielded 71 grams, the smaller at 35.
New light should be in soon.
Get ready for a round of FastBuds!
Not much to say here, the lack of light wasnt fair. It did produce a noticeable amount of cbd while still being able to get me high, albeit very weak.
I dont know if I will revisit cbd plants as it's more economical to purchase cbd oil and grow regular plants.
