Hey guys,
Got bored and decided to make a little PC grow box with some stuff I had laying around on this rainy day. I have seen some pretty cool PC grows so I figured I would give it a shot. Using 625nm/6500K LED strips for this.
These are bag seeds, hoping for one female and LST and top to create more cola's and to grow wider rather than more tall.
CHECK OUT WEEK 2 FOR FULL SETUP
Using RO water w/
Calnesium 100 ppm
pH Perfect Micro 200 ppm
pH Perfect Grow 100 ppm
pH Perfect Bloom 100 ppm
Total: 500 ppm pH 5.8
Res: 18-20 deg C
Just moved feed up from 350-500ppm this week and started seeing issues on leaves, roots still seem fine to me.
The same thing as u've been doing.
Ur doing great, don't overstress it, as long as she keeps producing bud then new crystal is yet to come, that thc that goes ambar will get stuck inbetween plant material and turned into CBN wich is what most people associate with the hash high, you get it from aged cannabis aswell.
Stay lit.
Most if my growing experience prior to the past year was micro grow type setups. It's a bit more challenging in my opinion. This is a great cool setup and much smaller than what I've built in the past. I am excited to watch this garden grow!
Wow this is brilliant. So much gone into it too. I oredict by week 1stretch you will be upscaling the design to fit them in. Hudro goes very quick when happy. Be prepared. Love this
@CheckThoseTrichs, loved the pic of the set up . very eye catching and your write up is a great bunch of info for anyone stealthy growing. We need more shares like this to prove it is possible and has a good result. I think people mistake our playing with ideas as a fun thing rather than an exploration. We find out some great stuff with leftfield thinking. I still use pliers to bite chunks from the main stem in the last week of flower as a wild animal would in natural climates , makes her think she is going to be slowly nibbled away so she puts more oils out to preserve buds and send a chemical signal that she has ripe smelly pollen to go. We do odd stuff and try new things to push what nature gives us.
@Joyfull420,right on a watched some videos as well and thought it was a neat idea! Thanks !
I am using: https://www.osepp.com/electronic-modules/sensor-modules/63-humidity-temperature-sensor
I run it with the DHT11 library. Have had it about a year now and has worked flawlessly on all projects. I know they do have the DHT22 which I believe has better accuracy and repeatability for temperature and humidity.
Cheers,
I see you’re using advanced nutrients, how do you like the product? I’m currently using general hydroponics in a soil setup but was thinking about switching next grow. It was either advanced nutrients or fox farm so was just seeing why ya had to say ab it. Thanks for the info and happy growin
@CheckThoseTrichs, eyyy thanks haven’t heard of mega crop before. And yeah I use the M G B line of GH flora series and its doing nicely but first grow I had a friend give me some of his fox farm and that produced some lovely herb. I basically follow that ratio w a calmag plus but always searching for better options w experience. I’ll be following your setup since hydro always intrigued me. Goodluck
@Rando1314, Heya Rando! I used to use Megacrop and switched to Advanced Nutrients for the past 3 runs as I got a good deal on it. I have never used A+B just the M-G-B line and have never had any issues, even holding pH in a water res for 2 weeks+. I have always had good success using a 1:1:1 ratio in veg and 1:2:2 in flower w/calmag as I've only used dwc/coco. I know lots of people have great success just following the bottle directions as well. I have never really tried any other additives before other than the general NPK fert.
No worries here, a few trichs can 'turn amber' early for a variety of reasons, including genetics, environment, grow light, stress, etc... In your case it looks like you may be looking at the sugar leaves which will definitely show amber trichomes well before the trichs on the buds themselves are fully ripened. Keep waiting looking like a great first run :D
