Afterglow I soaked the seed last Tuesday, thinking that by the time it sprouts, the helmet falls off, and it pops out of the soil, it would be just in time for the reports to start on Monday. But it showed its little tail just a few hours later. After 12 hours, I planted it in the soil, and another 12 hours later, it was already out of the substrate, and by Thursday, the shell had already fallen off. What a miracle! I decided to try giving a massive dose of nutrients right away in this grow, since it's autoflowering and I need the veg stage to go really, really fast. And it’s paying off! It's growing like crazy. This is actually my first autoflower; before this, I always grew photoperiod strains. I chose a pure CBD strain since my last harvest had way too much THC, which is impossible to smoke - it sends you into a panic with a pale feeling. We'll be blending it.

Afterglow It's growing at a crazy pace. No deficiencies or burns are observed, it's even starting to smell and has already shown its sex. Trichomes are already visible on the leaves. It's grown 5 levels. And all of this in just two weeks! I hope it doesn't start flowering at this rate next week. Tomorrow I'll switch to 18/6 lighting, do some topping, and transplant it into a new big pot. The roots have already started coming out of the drainage holes. I'm going to make 10 branches.

Afterglow The little plant was transplanted into a new pot. The roots have really spread out over the two weeks and filled all the space in the small pot. At the beginning of the week, it was decided to transplant into a new 6-liter pot. Right after the transplant, a topping was done on the 5th node to get 10 branches. I removed two leaves from the top since they were blocking the lower branches. The most interesting part is that it started to flower and smell. Right in the middle of the third week. We switched to 19 hours of light. Overall, it's a bit unusual to grow an autoflower after photoperiods since you can't control the growth, but everything seems to be going well.

Afterglow At the beginning of the week, seeing that it was all blooming, I slightly overfed it with nitrogen, and the leaves curled up, otherwise the branches wouldn't have grown. Thanks to the timely topping, we have 8 large branches and 2 small ones. Everything is gradually rising up, and I'll be adjusting the height of each with ropes as usual. It doesn't stretch much, grows slowly, even though the roots have already filled the entire pot in a week. I switched to a different mix. I warn you right away, this strain is not for beginners. It blooms right away, grows fast, drinks little (probably due to the sparse foliage), and trimming or bending needs to be done on time, carefully, and with an understanding of what you're doing. Regarding the foliage: in the breeder's photos, the strain is also shown to have sparse leaves. So think about how to feed it for good growth. In short, it's a complex strain. For now, I'm not even monitoring the pH and PPM. My hand is trained, and experience tells me what to do. I'll start monitoring from next week.

Afterglow We're 5 weeks in. Growth has stopped, and there hasn't been any stretch at all. The little plant seems to be nervous and fussy, curling its leaves. Maybe it's getting too much light, so I moved it further away. It doesn't drink a lot, I water it every 2 days. Drainage is excellent, PH&PPM are normal, but something's bothering it. The buds have noticeably increased in size. I'm keeping good humidity for now. I've studied a lot of other reports on this strain. It's fussy everywhere. Afterglow The growth has stopped. And the buds don't seem to be growing wider anymore. The pistils have started to fade. It seems like in about 10 days, I can harvest this small yield. The leaves keep curling, and they're brittle and crumbling. It would be one thing if the tips of the leaves were drying out, then it would be clear that it's overfeeding or burning, but no, the leaves are intact, just curling up. PPM is around 1000, pH 6.0, and it's drinking very little. It's some kind of pale plant. The lower leaves have started to yellow. But it smells so strong that even two filters can't handle it.

Afterglow At the beginning of the week, I switched to Ripen, and the buds immediately started producing new pistils. At first, it seemed like there wouldn't be any new pistils, but no, the buds have tightened up, becoming bulkier and thicker compared to last week. Since I was mercilessly bending them, the buds turned out like bent sausages, with a lot of flowers hidden under the old leaves. I think I might do some defoliation. Overall, the weight of the harvest will be pleasing despite such rapid growth. I tore off a small piece of the flower, dried it, and smoked it. The effect is hardly noticeable at all. In the first few minutes, it felt like something was coming on, as if a high was about to hit, but then it just faded away. As for possible effects - maybe there's a sense of indifference and a bit of drowsiness. Anyway, I’ll have to try it again after I harvest and mix it with some of that wicked Black D.O.G. The smell is like peppermint, and even the freshly dried stuff smokes very, very smoothly, with a somewhat unnatural, sweetish smoke.

Afterglow At the beginning of the week, I trimmed most of the upper fan leaves since they weren't doing much - curled up into tubes, they don't really contribute to photosynthesis. The little plant got stressed and shot out a bunch of new pistils. On the really old leaves, the trichomes have turned amber, many are already cloudy. Today I gave Ripen for the last time, and probably in a day or two, I'll start the flush. In the photos, I found someone’s wings. I searched for a long time but couldn't find them.

Afterglow I kept it in flower for 42-45 days as the breeder suggests. I trimmed and hung it to dry as soon as the last pistils started to dry up, and there were hardly any new ones. I kept it on Ripen for 2 weeks and didn't even do a flush before harvest, as the bud I pulled wasn't that strong and didn't scratch my throat.
