Purple Stravaganza

Here we are, week 2 of these future purple girls and this week was OK! Only 3 important things happened: 1. It seems my soil had some "cobweb mold" and I assume it was from poor ventilation and high humidity. I removed the "bad" soil (still unsure if it was actually that or something else), added some new soil and then I increased the airflow of the tent. After that my girls were ready and so far nothing has happened or appeared! 😎 2. I wasn't watering them enough! I gave them 250cc for the first time and that didn't felt enough (considering the size of their pot) and I feared they might get rootbound, or something if I didn't give more and after waiting the soil to be "ready" I watered them again (and with far more water) and right after that they started once again to grow fast. So perhaps that was the issue!? 3. One of my girls needed help! Thanks to one of the previous issues, air was blowing directly at her (didn't notice it on time) and that bent her stem a little and that scared me to be honest. I need her stem needs to be a littler stronger before I can start doing some LST. Gladly she responded well to the treatment and now she's growing strong! 😃 Anyway, that's all for now. Week 3 of my soon-to-be purple ladies! 😻 Everything was going well but I noticed these issues: - The girl on the back is stretching waaaaay more and is less "leafy" than her sister. Perhaps she has more sativa in her DNA? - Leaves on both girls love to twirl around, specially on the girl on the front. - The stem on both girls is still weak and the girl on the front no longer needs the extra help she needed! Weather where I live is getting colder for some odd reason (it should be the opposite, damn!) and the "purple" is... perhaps starting to show a little? Week 4! We're very close of flower now! This is what happened in this week: - I did some LST! 😁 - I increased the amount of nutrients and it seems they like it! - The plant on the front is growing more than the one on the back. - Some weird marks appeared in one of the biggest fan leaves from the girl on the back. What could that be? My girls need more water too as I've have not been watering them enough and I believe they might get root-bound because of that. Next week that issue will be fixed and hopefully that will allow them to grow some stronger roots! I also thought about trimming my girls, specially the one in the front but I don't think they are developing as fast as I'd like them to be so I'll hold down for now. I'd rather tuck some leaves around instead of stressing my girls way too much and get some bad results 😖 Anyway, that's all for now and thanks for reading! See you all next week! 😃

Hey guys! 😀👋 Week 5 is here and my girls are growing fast! But as always, some things happened/did some things this week: - The girl's that's on the front (closer to the camera) is clearly growing faster and for that reason I believe she's going to get into flower before than her sister! - I think the girl on the back might be have some kind of excess or deficit going on? Confusing. No idea what could've be doing it. - I've been tucking leaves pretty much all week. Specially on the girl on the back and some of her leaves are twitching in a very weird way. I want to defoliate a little so the lower buds get more but Iight fear I might end stunning my girls!😨 - I reinforced the LST on my girls, the one that I did was not enough! Week 6 and my girls are finally in flower! 😍 And wow, the girl on the front stretched out a lot and it seems she's also a couple of days more mature than her sister! That also helped me to take some cool photos in a really short span of time! Hopefully the ones I took are enough! Don't forget to check the timelapse of well!! My girls now are taking flower fertilizers and I did some more aggressive LST on them, plus a very selective defoliation for both girls. I want the light to spread as much as possible to get some big flowers in the future! Sadly, not everything was good! I noticed some magnesium deficiency on the girl that's on the back. Perhaps I was giving them a water that was too high in pH? Or what else could it be? Maybe a root lockout? No idea but I decided to lower the pH of this week and see how she evolves. Hey everyone! Week 7 is here (2nd of flower) and here's what happened this week! 😃 - Both of my girls look very different from each other. Many things could've lead to this! - The one that's on the "front" is developing faster, her leaves are darker in color and they look long and thinner (more Sativa in her DNA?). Besides that? Not so much besides this was a very, veeeery hot week compared to previous ones and that one of my girl is no longer showing Magnesium deficiency, which is amazing! I'm really impressed how things are going so next week I'll start adding some extra PK and see how things develop. I want some biiiiig buds! 😍 Anyway, that's all for now. Hey guys! Week 8 for the plant or week 3 of flower! 😍 And holy cow, these girls are growing fast, specially my baby that's on the front. And in fact, since they are so developed I decided to add some PK supplements slightly earlier and see how things go! On top of that both girls seem to have slightly different phenotypes, one of them is slowly turning purple while the other one is getting purplier leaves and trichomes, which I believe looks beautiful. I also defoliated and worked on the LST again, I need the lower buds to develop as well! Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the photos and see you all next week! 😊

Week 9 and 4th of flower! And holy 👽, we're getting there fast! My girls are growing well and they seem to be taking the nutrients reeeeally well! So once again I'm increasing the strength of Silver PK and White monster! I also noticed something quite interesting... it's only the 4th week of flower and some trichomes are turning amber! That should not be happening unless the lights are too close to the plant or perhaps, this girl is just fast and I should chop her soon? 😱 No idea. I'll probably around and see what people think and if I should do it or not. I trimmed some leaves and for the first time in like ever I did not touch the LST! Anyway, see you all next week! 👋

Hey everyone! Week 10 is here! (or 5th of flower) 😁 Both of my girls look like they are really close to being ready! (or they are already ready!) 😍 and I could chop them right now but I want to wait a bit more so buds can get a little bigger. This is because I forgot flower is shorter in autos and I delayed the doses a bit too much 😞. I hope this week's full dosage will help my babies to get her buds a little bigger 🙏 and next time I'll be more aware of this as I completely missed it. My goal is 70%/30% amber trichomes and I believe I still have some time for that! Besides what I mentioned earlier, this strain is amazing. They've responded quite well for all the defoliation I've done to them which is no small feat on an auto! 💪 Anyway, that's all for now. See you all really soon in my next update! And this is it! The last week! 😲 And an early update as well! 😁 This is the last video and last photos of my girls before they were chopped and I'm quite happy right now! Almost everything went how I planned it, which is great 💪 I lowered the lights (5cm) and I did a good chunk of defoliation to allow more light penetration which I believe totally helped! Some of the branches got a lot of weight and could barely hold themselves (good thing they didn't break!) I also think that I should've chopped my girls last week because I got way more amber trichomes than what I originally wanted 😝 but eh, I got more weight in exchange! 😆 Oh, I also gave my girls some ice cold water! Hoping to get some extra purple! There are a lot of stuff this week, so please let me know what you all think about them! :D See you all in the next and final update! 👋

Hey everyone! We're at the end of the road and here are the results of my babies! 😍 I did a dry trimming (takes way less time) and I must say I'm quite happy with the results. Wet weight (with leaves and all that): - Plant A (front): 427g - Plant B (back): 321g Dry weight: - Plant A: 67.11g - Plant B: 43.81g Discard (which was FULL of trichomes): 39.56g The "less purplier" one gave me more production than the other one but I'm not surprised by that, considering she was growing "better" compared to her sister since the beginning. I'm still totally impressed with the numbers I got, mostly because I know purple strains ain't known for being the most productive ones and I still got a good number considering what I have 💪 I mean, I almost reach the 1g/watt considering both plants and that was done with an auto and a purple strain! 😃🙌 For maths I won't count the discard pile, but I plan to freeze it and try to get all those beautiful trichomes into kief or something (everything was so frosty and sticky!) 😝 I accept recommendations! Now, regardless how was my experience with these two? What can I say, they were incredibly fast and really easy to grow, they allowed me to do a lot of training (check the photos for that) and they didn't stress at all. I also did constant defoliation which can be the bane for some strains, specially if they are autos! 😁 My only regret (can't blame the plant) or what makes me sad is they didn't turn more purple, but there's nothing I can do there? (besides blaming the weather, it was crazy hot and I'm sure that's one of the reasons 😂!) I'll probably update the diary in the future when the buds are slightly more curated, but for now I believe I can call this over. It was a nice growing these girls!
