29/9/20:
Fed everyone, with the Northern Lights and Power Africa receiving enough water to flood the tray. Purple Kush is still holding strong, with only a few lower leaves getting pale. Freedom Kush is showing good promise so far. Super Skunk is slowing down it's vertical growth, and pushing the lower branches out higher.
Im torn between which dry amendment I should purchase, as they both have their merits.
Gaia Green requires less applications, but more strategic planning on when to apply, as it lasts for 30 days.
Geoflora requires twice as many applications, but is more easily to plan feedings as it lasts for only 2 weeks.
I think I will just have to get both, and do a side by side comparison. The only way I will know for sure. One might be better than the other, or they might be the same. The Geoflora system has slightly higher NPK ratios. The continued use of Terpenoid Boosters will be the only thing that is the same, other than strain. Possibly switching to, or at least trying out, Purpinator.
30/9/20:
Everyone is looking fantastic. Super Skunk is bushier than ever, an excellent quality in my opinion. Purple Kush is showing me an excellent structure. The too growth still isn't quite long enough to tie back, but almost. The lower branches will be needing some tending to in the next couple of days. Freedom Kush is doing better than expected, and I'm glad. Northern Lights is showing some better leaf formation now. The addition of nutrients from the start seems to be working well, with no visible signs of harm. Power Africa received a little trimming today, in the firm of defoliating of some large fan leaves. They were extremely large and in the way, and tucking just wasn't an option anymore. I was planning on waiting to replant after 4 weeks, but I think I might have to do it after 3 instead.
Dairy updates will be separated to be more strain specific from here on out. Keeping it all together was easier for me before, but I've worked out a way to make this way work for me as well. More typing, less clutter, makes it all better.
1/10/20:
Pulled off the bottom leaves, as they were yellowing and touching the surface of the soil. The final four days of vegetation should be pretty easy. I don't think I will be able to LST the way I wanted, so tomorrow I will do as much as I can before sending it into flower.
2/10/20:
Poured about a cup of water into the dish, and it soaked it all up very quickly. I'm still amazed at how well she is growing. It's giving me confidence to try it again with some better quality genetics.
3/10/20:
If I can find some way to get holes into the top of the cup, then I will do some LST before it goes into flower. If not, it will just be a large cluster of buds forming one massive cola. I will be putting the plant into the flower tent on either Monday or Wednesday, all depends on the other plant moving with it.
4/10/20:
Bottom leaves are much yellower than I would like, I just can't seem to keep them the green I want anymore. Top leaves are acceptable, I'd prefer them darker, but I can't have everything. Once she is moved into the basement, she will be getting a strong dose of nutrients at least once a day, so they should start to darken to a shade I am happy with.
5/10/20:
As today marks the end of week 4, I moved the Solo Cup downstairs to start flowering. I fed her with a dose of bloom nutrients, along with a dash of Cal Mag and Thrive for good measure. Leaves are droopy, and they feel a stiff. I will be keeping a closer eye on it to make sure it's sufficiently moist. Feeding from the bottom is making it so much easier. Not sure how I will work it out when I try this again using Gaia Green. Oh well, it will be fun to try.
Just scooped some of these seeds.
Hoping they turn out to be Auto as they are supposed to be.
I may just do a 3 week veg and then flip to 12/12, seen to many photo reviews for this strain.
Good luck with your grow!!
Just made it to the end of your grow and saw yours was not an Auto...
