This week I am dropping seeds to start in Jiffy Pods with a dome. 2 indica, 2 hybrid, 2 sativa. Light sitting 18 inches above dome, bringing it to 24 inches above plant pods. 18 hours of daylight 6 hours of dark. All vents closed on dome to increase humidity for germination and seedling stage.
This week we have some poppers and first sets of leaves developing. Kandy kush is moving quick at only 3 days of germination before sprouting.
Within a few days they developed some nice veg leaves.
Mars hydro ts600 doing this grow well in the seedlings state
Steady watering every other day. Added Gaia green all purpose organic fertilizer. Not ready for transplant yet. Plants got topped at the third node to help bush them out and level the canopy.
This was the transplant week. Topped them about a week and a half ago which allowed them to recover properly. Transplanted from starter pots to 1 gallon pots . Used root stimulator on the root surface before placing in the new pots. Added Gaia Green 4-4-4 organic fertilizer. Will be adding worm castings next week to the nutrient schedule. Like to spread them out to get better nutrient absorption and availability. Back under the ts600 Mars hydro light for a few more weeks. Allow the roots to develop and top again before sending them into flower.
Straciatella is staying short and stalky. French Macaron is holding its own with an average height while the Kandy Kush is turning into a tall plant.

This week the plants recovered from the transplant and grew a lot. Topped again at the 5th node canopies are starting to level out.
Kandy kush from DNA Genetics is the tallest in the room. Straciatella is the shortest and growing really dense foliage. Getting ready to defoliate right away and flip over to a flower cycle soon!
Plants outgrew there new pots in a week. They had been transplanted into 5 gallon pots using fox farm happy frog and ocean mixed together , with worm castings and perlite for better aeration. Gave them some LST and defoliation. They will sit in the flower tent on a veg light cycle to recover from transplant before going into a flower cycle.
Got thrips last week and made a insecticide soap to keep any chemicals out of my grow. Also added cinnamon top dress to help with the situation. After 4 days and 2 waterings seems to have solved my problem.
On another note they have been swapped over to a 12/12 light cycle and started flower. After a few days starting to see hairs all over . They are growing everyday and doing their flower stretch. Waiting for end of the stretch before I lollipop them. Looking good and growing beautifully .
Lollipop and defoliated this week to push the energy away from the bottom of the plant and hoping to avoid popcorn buds. Lowered the light slightly and will continue until it's at the desired height for light intensity.
Hairs are forming nicely seeing bud points now. Kandy kush is definitely a stretcher so they get their own light that's higher then the other strains .
This week they developed more bud points and are starting to get hairy. End of this week is day 17of flower. It seems like the stretch is done so time to put on some weight.
They have been receiving spring water throughout the entire grow , which sits around 6.8 pH . Beautiful genetics from Amsterdam Seed Supply on this one.
On last watering this week , I did a bit of defoliation because they were bushing out heavily and want to continue allowing good airflow and light penetration through the canopy.
Simple watering every other day. Less water more often. Starting to get some pretty smells coming from the grow now. Stacks are forming on the plants and hairs are producing heavily. Slowly starting to see bud formations swelling up. Plants started receiving mollases in the water every other week from now till harvest to keep the carbohydrate and sugars for all the microbes in the soil.
Plants are filling out nicely. Thick crystal production and smells very sweet and fruity in the tent as soon as you crack the zipper. Can't wait to see if we get some fading.
Was adding molasses every 2 weeks through flower up to this point plus 1 Tbsp per gallon of soil top dress of Gaia green nutrients. This week they really started to show some beautiful fades and colour is starting to be very apparent. Cutting nutrient cycle now letting them fade for the remainder of the grow!
Plants are continuing to develop the purple fade. Starting to see amber trichomes producing. Day 58 on these photos and guessing another week for harvest. All the plants are looking strong and fully flushed.
Plants have been harvested at 66 days of flower. Beautiful production on all of them with heavy bud points and fruity smells on all the plants. Defoliated fan leaves and chopped them at the base for a whole plant hang dry. Will take longer to dry this way but I find slow dry gives me a better quality taste and flavour
Hung the plants in their entirety. Took about 2 weeks with an indirect fan for airflow. The buds were dense and smelled like hay at first, but after one day of cure they are starting to get that blueberry cream scent to them !
The plants turned out smaller then I expected for a sativa dominant strain, but they are the frostiest plants I have run into in my grows. Dense sticky buds with lots of purple hues in them! One of the more beautiful strains I have seen in a long time. Glad I had the opportunity to grow this!
Plants grew very tall compared to the others in the tent so had a dedicated light for themselves. Beautiful bud formations that were very thick and dense. Beautiful purple hues revealed themselves in the leaves mid flower and smell of candies.
