Just started. I recently had a pythium outbreak that killed a FB CM and a Mephisto Fugue state. I thoroughly cleaned the grow room and started over. Hopefully, this girl will not get the disease.
Week 2: transplanted today at day 9. She seems to be moving along but the stem is very very weak. Presumably, the pythium is still managing to attack my plants but I think she might have survived the critical period. Only time will tell.
Day 16: She is experiencing some slow growth. Presumably because she was affected by the pythium early on. Lets she if she pulls through. One of my fbt37 died due to this, but this one seems more Disease resistant. I will not train because of this.
Update day 19: things are moving a bit slow. Besides the damage pythium has done in the beginning, she now has some calmag deficiency. Trying to correct it with higher base A concentration and foliar feeding calmag.
Update day 23: today I saw signs of pythium again. Such an annoying fungus. I watered with h2o2, flushed and watered with nutrients. Lets see how it goes. The ladies are in a new home!!
Update day 30: I tied her down a week ago. She has responded well even though she is very dense in the bud area. For a plant that has been attacked by pythium she seems to be doing very well now. No signs of flower still.
Update day 36: She responded well to the LST. I took a leaf here and there to expose more budsites and she did not mind at all. Strong plant overall. She also showed the first pistil so she should be flowering next week.
Update day 40: she is growing well. Removed some leaves to expose more budsites. She is just about to start stretching I believe.
Update day 44: she is growing well and is now clearly at the beggining of flowering. I have been bending her down and removing some leafs but she is a bit stubborn.
Update day 48: she is stretching and flowering hard now. I have applied supercropping and defoliation to get things under control.
Update day 51: she is very healthy and stretching. Very happy with how she developed. It is difficult to expose some of the lower budsites without removing leaves but I have been moving them out of the way.
Update day 58: she is flowering well and stretched quite a bit. I have been supercroping to expose lower buds. She now has more space since I moved the fbt37 out of the tent. Looks like she might produce more than I expected!
Update day 66: she is so frosty. If I touch the stems my fingers get very sticky. I can see where the name snow comes from. She smells of apple, very sweet! She is getting a bit stressed from the close proximity to the LED but she is looking great otherwise. She is hungry!
Update day 76: she is getting fat! She is incredibly resistant. She was extremely close to the lemon AK who unfortunately died because of root rot :'( but the cali snow did not even blink, she is just putting out flower after flower. She smells like apples.there ate trichomes everywhere! Even the stems are completely covered! Such a beautiful, frosty, good smelling and resistant plant. I am very happy so far!
Update day 80: She is filling up nicely. She could go 3 weeks more but I have to travel soon so I started the flush yesterday. Harvest in 3/4 days! She smells wonderfully. Even though she was right next to a lemon ak who died with the nasty funghi, she seems to be completely resistant to it. What a champ 💪
Update day 87: Time has come for this beautiful lady. She was the most resistant of all the plants, making it through with a nasty deadly fungus around without even bouncing (killed 5 seedlings, 1 adult plant and damaged another) .
She is so damn frosty. Even stems are covered in snow. I wish I had more 2 weeks for her to fatten up but unfortunately I dont.
She smells just like apple, with some tropical fruits mixed. I could not stop smelling my fingers after defoliating. So sweet!
I recommend this strain to any grower, and she is definitely a concentrate fan dream come true!
I am absolutely in love with this strain. Just thinking about it awakens the excited little kid in me.
I sampled some larfy buds from the bottom and mixed in an hemp blunt with the kief I got from leaves (fan leaves!!). Upon inhale, I let a very smooth, thick cloud permeate my mouth and then inhaled it down with no resistance on throat whatsoever. On the exhale, a main tone of sour apple was apparent, like that of a fresh granny smith. Secondary notes of lemon and basil made for a very interesting and mouth watering aroma.
After the blue dream and the mexican, I would not have believed that I was yet to find a new favorite. As a sativa lover, I expected the perfect high could only possibly come from the perfect sativa. Yet, I was kindly surprised that the answer may lie somewhere in the middle. A true refined hybrid.
With its sativa dominance, you will feel a colored high that has no ceiling, getting higher and higher into the stratosphere. However, it carries you in a confortable pillow through the voyage. Ideas will flow like a coursing river, wrapped in a blanket of pure euphoria and blissfulness. This strain shows no boundaries in how many ways it can make you feel good. This will bring out the comedian in you, inspiring a plethora of funny thoughts and jokes, smashing any grim feeling you may have had before consuming.
Even though this is the most potent strain I have tried from FastBuds so far, I would consider it suitable for begginers since she will not test you with anxiety inducing thoughts or paranoia.
Its indica side will shine after you indulge more or after 1-2 hours. I am a sativa lover like I said, but the body high on this girl far surpasses the typical sedation you get with some strains. With each toke you will feel an intense tingling wave of relaxation washing through your body, after which it will take a mind of its own pleasing you with unique sensations all over. At this point, your mind is on the clouds while your body is in heaven. This relaxing state encourages you to go even deeper into the trip.
Yesterday I tried it on the mighty. Here the flavor profile is slightly different: while the core is still apple, here there are clear undertones of cinnamon and pepper. The set and setting could have paved the floor for a different high, but to my surprise, I was instantly hit with relaxation and body sensations, as if someone opened a dam and a massive wave of cozyness engulfed my body. I was still high mentally, but since I was laying down, I could feel myself seeking deeper and deeper into the bed until I finally was in this on and off nearly asleep stage. It was very pleasing and extremely relaxing.
Overall, this sample was from lower buds and straight out of the plant as soon as it finished drying. Nonetheless, I could not be more surprised with the sheer quality of smoke and most of all the high. She was the only one to show no signs of root rot in an infected room where 6 plants died nearly at birth and even an adult one passed on. Any beginner could grow this and any experienced connoisseur will find a unique specimen that will leave you wondering why you have not planted more seeds. I will update after a 3 month cure. If I can refrain from consuming it all that is!
This was a fun grow. First, most plants died with pythium. The only ones that made it was Cali Snow, FBT37 and Lemon AK. The Lemon AK died later when she was already a flowering adult. FBT37 showed some signs of rot but made it through. The Cali did not even bounce. She started slower than my previous Mexican Airlines, presumably because the fungi was trying to attack her, but after a while she really took over and exploded with the LST. If she survived this nasty fungi, I believe anyone can grow this. This is literally the most resistant plant I ever grew. Coupled with a refined high that I love and a mouthwatering flavour, I wish I had planted 2! Take my advice and plant more than 1 ;) congratz to @FastBuds for the astonishing breeding work and many thanks to Heather for the opportunity to test this strain! This strain is worth every penny and I would and will buy 100%.
Yield was 67 dried buds plus 4g+ kief from leaves and 12g airy buds that I will make into more kief. This plant is an extractors dream.
@Odissey,i belive you! She looks awesome! I growed her a year ago. And a find the high very racy full on after a bowl but the high faded out quite fast after an hour or so, but really good high
