Just started these two ladies. Had a recent outbreak of pythium which killed my 2 plants. Cleaned everything and started over. Hopefully these will remain disease free.
Update day 16: so this is the survivor of some nasty pythium that killed a mephisto fugue state, fastbuds crystal meth, kannabia swiss dream auto and recently a fbt37. She is small, but she is a survivor! I will not train at all due to her fragile state.
Update day 19: some calmag issues. She is growing steadly but slowly. Two new ones popped!
Just like the californian snow, she had signs of pythium again. I watered with h2o2, flushed and watered with nutrients. Lets see how it goes. She has a new home!
Update day 30: seems like she is in the clear regarding the pythium. She is growing quite well. She is very bushy, fat indica leaves. No signs of flowering yet. The other two new are basically runts that do not grow.
Update day 36: she is growing well now. She is very very bushy. She has a lot of developed side branches but they do not have much space since she is so compact. Still no flowering sign.
Update day 40: I like this plant a lot. She has a nice dense structure and the side branches are as developed as if I had topped, and I haven't. I am now moving large fan leaves to the side to expose these side branches.
Update day 44: the side branches are developing very well. I quite like this pheno. No training requires. She started flowering now. She is suffering from some problem, which I suspect is a lockout because I have not been watering till runout. I fed her today with 1L so plenty runoff to wash away salt buildup and she seems a bit happier now.
Update day 48: everything is going well apart from a calmag deficiency that is ongoing since the start. Some of the few calyxes she has now are turning purple!
Update day 51: she is in cruise control now. Very nice structure. I just move some large fan leaves around and all the secondary branches are up as if I have topped. Some calmag def though which I am trying to solve.
Update: I am very disappointed. I was watering her this morning and I found she had balls growing everywhere! I removed all balls and bananas I could see but I am very cautious and may remove her to prevent cross-polination. What a pity, I was quite fond of her. From the 4 seeds I germinated, 1 died at birth with the pythium, 2 took 10 days to germinate (longest I have ever had) and became runts that did not grew, and now the strongest one becomes a herm. Personally, I do not think this strain is ready to hit the market yet. But I am still happy I tested it. I think it has a lot of potential.
Update day 58: turns out she is a hermie 😭😭 I removed all balls and bananas and now had to move her out of the tent. She smells wonderfully and is now becoming purple. I had to supercrop some branches because she is now in a micro tent.
Update day 66: she is becoming very beautiful and the smell is lovely like bubblegum. Unfortunately, I have moved her into a separate super small tent and she is too close to the COB LED and has very poor ventilation. Hopefully she will make it to harvest without a lot of problems. No further balls discovered.
Update day 76: she is doing fine considering she has basically no airflow and is suffering from root rot. I am hoping she can survive an extra week or two without getting all messed up from the root rot. The Lemon AK died from it, but this one seems a bit more resistant.
Update day 80: the end is here. This was a wild ride. She grew very well and even though she got root rot, she made through harvest! She was also a true hermaphrodite but I pulled all male parts and it seems like it worked. She was in too tight a space without any airflow for more than 2 weeks and still she made it. This is a strong pheno for sure. She smells delightfully. Will update after dried!
