Chameleon I germinated seeds using paper towel method (28/01/18) and after a day or two when seed swells and cracks i transplant into small pots of Bio Bizz light mix 5-10 mm deep and place in heated propagator under M.H bulb with ballast switched to 400w and around 2 ft above canopy.
At this stage of growth it's all about establishing a network of roots to absorb nutrients and oxygen ready for explosive vegetive growth so it's impotant not to over/under water, same with nutrients. A good tip i always use is to leave my water in the bucket for 24 hrs before mixing or adjusting P.H, this allows most of the chlorine to evaporate (to many chemicals that aren't good for soil biology !!) and P.H becomes more stable.
After a week or two the growth above ground started to increase, this is where my week 1 veg starts and i start feeding nutes at a reduced rate to Shogun shedule.

Chameleon Switched ballast on 600w and kept on watering when top dry up to your first nuckle ( 1" ish ). Monitor run off to make sure everything is o.k at roots,( if run off varies a lot from what you put in, you've got a problem and need to flush !!).
Topped Critical + 2.0 above 3 node ( giving 6 branches ) as they grow longer i will tie down to the rim of my pot training them to grow wide and bushy.

Chameleon When i remove fan leaves and lower growth, i will only remove leaves that are hindering plant and bud development. I will try to re-positioning leaves and tying down branches before reaching for my trimmers !! Because i use a M.H bulb in veg it keeps plants nice and short with tight internodes, i find it seems to produce more leaves, stonger branches ( for bigger buds 😉) and just seem better for having just blue spectrum rather than duel spectrum, (in my opinion !!).

Chameleon Looking well and growing extremely quickly, will switch to flowering in a week or two when a bit bigger, they will stretch when i change bulb ( more red light ) and switch to 12/12. I also start adjusting timer down in prep the week before two hrs every 2 days or so.

Chameleon Switched over my bulb for a Sunmaster 600w H.P.S duel spec bulb and switched to 12/12. Flushed pots with P.H adjusted water only, a few days before switch so as to flush any buildup in soil before starting flower nutes. I measure my run off every time i water to monitor whats going on at the roots and to gauge how they are feeding and P.H levels to make sure it's available and not locked out !! I also let my pots dry out before watering to keep oxygen at roots.👌😇

Chameleon 1'st week of flower over, i've given them a bit of a trim and have just purchased Geisha Foliar spray and applied. So far there going well and smell great !! Going to give them a good feed in next day or two with bloom as they've only had a reduced feed after flush as pots are still not dry as plants aren't drinking much as temps have dropped a lot here ( snowing again, gales etc ) and i'm trying hard to keep them warm especially at night, we'll see how the next week goes !!🙏

Chameleon So i've made it to day 14 of flower ( waahoooo !!😮) and she hasn't stretched to much so far she's seems to be keeping fairly compact, and as i've topped her she's wide as hell and lots of potential bud sites are developing !! I trim any small branches and ones obstructing stronger growth, i also have been removing fan leaves when they get to a size where they are just too big and are shading lower growth. When i remove them i make sure the leaves developing above the one's i remove and the ones below are strong and large enough to support rapid growth, and if i don't have to remove it, i won't !! I gave a good feed of nutrient's earlier this week and checked run off, all spot on !! Temps have come back to normality after snow storms, gail's, etc and plants seem a lot happier now. Well i will post more photo's next week where the stretchy growth stops and hopefully a few little buds starting to develop !! 😉

Chameleon End of week 3 and we're starting to see bud sites developing fast now !!😉👍 I'm still having to trim them but growth is now turning to buds so careful from now !! Gave them a spray with geisha today - wow this stuff is fantastic !! In fact i love the full range of Shogun 👍 I'm also going to give them a foliar spray with boost this week as well !!😀 Going to water with P.H adjusted water to keep salt build up in soil under control. I will measure run off to check all is well like at last feeding. Can't wait till this one done she smells fantastic !!👍💩

Chameleon End of week 5 flower and bud formation is in full swing !!😋 It smells fantastic and if the taste and yeild are equally as good this one will be a regular in my garden 👍 It's taken everything in it's stride and recovered fast after topping, defoliation etc, helped by Shogun nute's and Geisha spray- these are fantastic nutrient's and would recommend using there full range, the branch structure, foliage growth etc is amazing !! I think using silicon has made a big difference to the strength of the plant in general !!💪

Chameleon Well we've hit 6 week's flowering and buds continue to develop, and the smell is sublime 😘. I've taken a couple of pics of my other two plants but don't have time to do more diaries, the Critical Kush smell is as good as Critical + 2.0 really fruity,( as you would expect !!), but the Pineapple Express is more subtle but starting to develop.
I think i'm going to use Shogun Dragon force for the next week and then flush with water for a week. ( Any advice on when to do this would be great as i'm still finding my feet !!😉) Had to raise my lights a couple of inch as they were showing signs of light burn ( forgot to check for a few days and new ballast with boost !!😮 )
I've now raised light to 20" as i don't want problems at this stage !! I've also started a Auto seeds Gorilla glue and a G13 labs Blue O.G , got several more freebies to plant before i get to my ordered seed's !!😋 Happy Growing everybody - until next week !!👊

Chameleon Another week on and i have started to flush with water a few days ago 👍 It's trichome's are starting to mature a little now so maybe another week left yet 🙏 It's smell develops day by day on her rock hard buds. Those branches are solid and no need to help support buds, it's all her 💪👋 in fact had to tie branches to pot to expose to light !! Blue light from my metal halide played a big part aswell as Shogun silicon and the rest of the range to keep it squat and develop such a solid platform - would highly recommend 😷👍( Unfortunately my blue M.H has blown so i'm down to a cheap spare ( to red !! ) on my new babies which is causing them to stretch to much for my liking at the moment, ordered a new bulb and will swap to my tent as soon as others get the chop 😋). Any suggestion's or tip's anyone has please let me know as i try to do this AMAZING plant justice in the search for mouth watering bud's 😋😘
Well next time it could be ready for chop so until then - Happy Growing !! 👊👍
All of your hard work in training has paid off big time!!! Well done. What's the plan to support those wonderful branches? They are stacked and will load the weight on.
@RumRunner, Cheers mate !!😉 The branches are solid bro, really strong, so i'm hoping they will support the weight, if not i've got a load of yo yo's i can use !!👍 This is the biggest stem and branches i've had as yet 🙏 and considering it's my first grow for a few years i'm really pleased !!😊. It's down to Shogun nutes as well as good genetics bro, but using a full range of one manufacturer is the way to go !!
