MrGrowIt Hi all, this is my first grow dairy and I am still somewhat of a newbie. So any tips or friendly info anyone could send my way is always greatly appreciated. This is my second run in my grow tent, but first run using hydroponics. I was somewhat hesitant switching from organic soil, but I must say, the transition has been pretty easy! For this run I'm growing an AK-49 feminized autoflower from Vision Seeds. She's currently 5 weeks old and doing fabulous! The only hiccup, as you may notice from the pictures, towards the end of week 3 I accidentally decapitated her attempting LST... But to my surprise she bouced right back! After plenty of LST and a couple defoliation days, this is how she currently looks. So far she has approximately a dozen main sites! Happy growing!👍

MrGrowIt Week 6 in the books and she's moving along nicely. No issues to report.
MrGrowIt Another week down and she's really bushing out. Now that both of my Gelatos from my first run have hit the harvest tent, she's got a little more wiggle room in the 4x4. Also she's got an extra Mars Hydro TS1000 that I can use now. Which is helpful since she's so bushed out! No issues to report this week. I added some root pics as well this week, for all my fellow "root porn" lovers out there! 😉

MrGrowIt Another week down and she's doing great! I also made another lighting change in the 4x4 tent. This week I upgraded my two Mars Hydro TS1000s, to the big boy Mars Hydro TS3000. I also did additional LST work on her this week. Between the new light and the extra LST, I'm hoping that helps with improved light penetration/air flow.

MrGrowIt Week 9 is finally finished and she's really hitting her stride in flower. Did encounter a minor Magnesium deficiency this week, but it's under control now. Other than that, her pistils are starting to turn amber, bud sites are fattening and trichomes are beginning to cloud up. I'm estimating that she's got a few more weeks, including the flush. I'm getting really excited for this girl to finish up! We're in the home stretch!!
MrGrowIt Week 10 has come to a close, and with only two weeks left to go, she's cruising right along! One more week of nutes and then a week long flush should finish her off. Is is just me or do these last few weeks of flower seem like FOREVER? Either way I'm super stoked!
MrGrowIt Week 11 is complete! No issues this week. Cut out the Diamond Nectar. She's still got a lil bit of time left though. So I'll most likely be starting her flush then. She's getting pretty stanky by the day!
MrGrowIt Week 12 is finally finished and she's ready to be chopped for the drying/curing process! The past week was all about flushing this girl and using up all her stored nutes. She did a ton of "rippening" throughout the week as you can see in the pics. The next and final update will be a few weeks delayed due to the drying/curing process, but I will be back with one last update once she's ready! 👍
I would ease back on the defoliation. I currently am running 16 plants of this strain I have noticed all the plants that have had defoliation have smaller buds and are less developed. Other than that the ak-49 strain is hardy as hell.
@TheMayor4434, thanks for the knowledge sir! I know that seems to be such a divided opinion when it comes to autos, but I thought what the heck. I didn't defoliate on my first run with my Gelato autos. So, I defoliated once in week 5 and again in week 6. I'm going to take your advice, and just let her go from here on out! Much appreciated! 👍
