This is my first time ever attempting to grow my own cannabis. I am currently one week in and have already faced my fair share of set-up frustration. I am using a lumatek attis 200w led light in a secret jardin DS60 tent (60x60). I choose this tent for the fact it can be customised to place inlets and outlets wherever the user wishes and its size fitted perfectly in my closest. I did a test run of my set-up, with light and extractor fan on full power and was quickly introduced to negative pressure. I didn't want to leave tent door open to counteract this so ordered extra passive air inlet vent, that delayed my start by a week but fixed/balanced this issue. The grow tent heat is higher than I expected being led. But I assume this is from being in a closet and I'm currently working on a way to pull cooler air into my closet/room while in turn venting air away from being recycled back into the tent. Seed germination was quick and broke soil the day after planting. I have kept my light at 35cm but changed intensity as seed matured. The heat issue as mentioned before has caused me to run my extractor fan at higher speed which in turn I believe has affected my humidity. I felt as though the seedling stopped growing for a day or two from the air being so dry (30%). As an effort to try and fix the humidity, i placed half a plastic bottle over the plant an sprayed with water, hoping to cause a greenhouse effect. A few days later my plant is praying and growing healthy. And I'm happy.

Week 2 and all is good. My bubble gum girl is starting to pick up the pace nicely and has doubled her height from end of week one. I was worried that she was not enjoying her environment last week, as she showed very slow/stunted growth. I believe this was due to some issues i was having with heat and air flow in my closet, that lead me to buy an extra passive air vent for my tent. I have also used ducting to vent the warm air away from my closest into the roof space. Along with this I removed a square from my closet door to allow cooler air from my room to be pulled in. After this I was able to reduce my extractor fan by 50%. All in all its been a more pleasant week no stress, I'm currently running my lumatek attis 200w at 80% and will do throughout the veg part of the grow. I also gave a small feed of biobizz Alg-a-mic to try and boost her along and remove some of her stress. As you can see from the pictures she is a happy plant and growing well. Would like to say Thank You for the support I have received in week one, makes running the diary more enjoyable. Much appreciated.

Week 3 already, and a busy one at that. I decided to go for it and try some LST. I first tied her down and trimmed of the bigger fan leaves at the start of week 3. Its my first time at this, I was nervous and worried that I would destroy her. After I had finished I thought I had maybe over done it with the defoliation. But few days later and I could see that she was still going strong. I waited and watch her bounce back for 4 days then I repeated the process again. I also gave her a first feed tonight with biobizz fish mix and biobizz topmax. Also through the week after the first round of LST I gave her a feed with Alg-a-mic to help her recover. I think there's a good chance she will be starting to go into flower in the next week or so. Been a fun week with trying my hand at learning/experiencing LST. Bit more practice and I will get better. Happy growing.

Week 4 and all is running smoothly. I started LST in week 3 and continued through week 4. I was worried that it would affect her growth maybe slow her down alittle, due to her being slow to take off when first sprouting. I have been growing a sweet zz along side this bubblegum and the sweet zz was always ahead in size and growth. But after this week the bubblegum has really started to up her game, and is showing that she has loved the LST and the feeding. She has now over took the sweet zz in growth. Halfway through this week I could see that she was beginning to show signs of flowering and now by the end of this week we are in full swing. I have my lumatek attis light set to full power (200w) and as you can see this bubblegum is now a healthy and happy young lady. All in all its been a pleasant week with no issues whatsoever, nothing but excitement and the rewarding feeling of happy plant.

Week 5 for my bubblegum princess and the worst week of this grow so far. Stressful week filled with every first time grower mistake made. I truely commited every growing sin there was. First error i made was to over water which i believe in turn lead to over feeding. And to top it off my ph tester was not calibrated properly and the water ph level was actually 8.2 and not the ph6.5 I believed I had feeding her. So as it goes i have over watered and caused her to be sad/stressed and droopy, then over fed causing nutrient burn on the leaves and most likely nutrient lock out. Also signs of calcium and magnesium deficiency have well and truly set in. Its been a heart breaking week. Was almost going to pull the plug and scrap the grow. But then if I was to give up, what would I learn. I guess the best way of learning how to do something is learning how not to do it. First time growing and I have to admit, having a first few great growing weeks had maybe made me over confident and that's when the mistakes began. I am not going to give up on her and I will see this grow through to the end and learn from it. To tackle all my problem's I first let her dry out for 3 days then I flushed her with ph adjusted water only (new ph pen properly calibrated). I removed the worst of the infected leaves and any others that have deteriorated as the week went on. When she was ready for more water I added in some biobizz cal-mag to try and get on top of her calcium and magnesium deficiency. Besides the signs of nutrient burn and the calcium and magnesium deficiencies she has showed some signs of recovery. I'm watching her closely and will never take her for granted again. I hope all this hasn't been to stressful on her and I can get her to harvest. Shout out to those how took the time to give me some much needed advise this week, was truly appreciated. Many thanks.

Week 6, and its been the worst week for my bubblegum. Due to the over watering which lead to the over feeding I had to flush her last week. These mistakes made me overly cautious this week and I believe I have completely under fed and its been a harsh week on her. Leaves are showing strong signs of deficiency and as of the start of week 7 tomorrow, I'm going to be increasing the feeding on her. I can only hope that I can bring her back from this, as I think this grow and my lack of experience has just been to hard on her. I will be watching her closely and trying to keep positive.

Week 7 and it feels like I'm on a roller coaster with this bubblegum girl. Each day I open my tent she either looks like she's doing better or worse. Few issues still going on, although alot of them to do with the errors in the early weeks and my slow intervention. Another issue has been pointed out to me about my low humidity levels. My humidity bounces around 25%--35% each day. If I can't rectify this before the end of this grow, it most definitely will be by the start of my next. I have also upped her nutrients slightly this week, just slightly as I'm still on the cautious side. Buds are coming along nicely, although she's not going to produce much yield she smells amazing. So sweet, looking forward to seeing her to the end, can not wait to see if she tastes as great as she smells. Happy growing.

Week 8 for my bubblegum and not much to report this week, as it's coming to the end for this lady. I cut out all nutrients with her last watering and it will be ph water from here on as I plan to flush and harvest her by end of week 9. I could probably let her run alittle longer, but she's had a hard few weeks and I fear the issues could start affecting the buds themselves. I have wrecked my brain for weeks trying to bring her back to full health, and shake off the deficiencies. The only conclusion I can think of is when I suspected a nutrient lock out and flushed her. I should of been testing the run off to confirm she had been flushed correctly. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case and she had just been suffering a lock out this whole time. All that aside, I'm can't wait to enjoy a nice smoke from her.

Week9 and we are at the end for this bubblegum diary. I started to flush her at the end of last week and half way through week9 I cut her down, trimmed her and left her to dry. A few weeks ago I would not of thought I would of made it this far. What a roller coaster of experience, my first time attempting to grow. I researched, learned and planned this grow way before attempting it. I quickly realised theres no better way to learn than hands on. Thankfully I found growdairies beforehand and the community is great, the growers are helpful, always willing to answer questions and supportive. I don't think I would have managed to make it to harvest with all my mishaps with out the help I got. There may not be as much of a yield as I hope from my harvest but I'm happy to have it. It smells awesome and tastes great even though it still has to cure for abit longer. I will definitely grow this strain again and try to do it some justice. All in all I had a good experience growing and with growdairies, I'm excited to get back into it and have more.
