Hello. This is Tom Ford Pink Kush, a west coast special, Which I may have contributed to. I'll write the story in my other diary in the next couple of days. > I'm Chuck. I started smoking in grade 9, 14 years old. I had my first outdoor grow when I was 18. I'm over 60 now and have been growing indoors for the last 25 + years. I hope to pass on some of the lessons I have learned. Since cannabis was legalized in Canada I'm growing outside again. Please see my, Amnesia Lemon in the Greenhouse diary. > There isn't much grow info out there about the TFPK, so I thought I would make one. This strain has traveled far from the dispensary that grows it. It's traveled from a friend, to a friend, to a friend, and it finally got to me. This is what I can get off the internet. TFPK is 80% Indica. 10 to 11 weeks for flowering. Yields are medium and bud size is medium. 23 to 25% THC and 1 to 1.5 CBD. The taste nd smell are, Candy, Perfume, Citrus and Fuel. For the first few hours you will feel happy and uplifted with a strong sense of euphoria. Then be ready for the munchies and a strong couchlock before going to sleep. Reported to be good for sleep and pain. > The cross of Death Star and Bubba Kush made Death Kush. Called Death Kush because you slept like death. That was crossed with the Pink Kush that had similar effects. Was first made by a a worker at Sea to Sky dispensary in Vancouver. Designer medical cannabis to help their clients. The Pink Kush has been around the Pacific Northwest for a lot of years and a local favorite. See you next week. Chuck.

Hello. I found a clone of Tom Ford Pink Kush and looked up on line about how it grows. I couldn't find much about it. Lots of dispensary's would like to sell me some at outrages prices. So here is my diary about TFPK. > Seems to be a grower with a bit of length. I topped one plant last week and one plant this week. You can see the difference a week makes. > I grow a 2 stage garden and I need to keep the clones or seedlings to stay as small as possible for 3 months. Topping is mostly what I do to control and slow the plants down. > If I rub the stem and smell my fingers I smell, perfumed candy, mmm. > I give the only details I've found on the plant on line in week 1. Please read the comment. >Sulphur- I use sulphur on all my plant cuts, house plants too. You can buy it at any garden store. Pharmacy's also carry sulphur. It's medical grade and a little more expensive but does the same job. Sulphur is a natural fungicide and miticide. Don't get it on your buds, it will taste like you are smoking match heads😝. In a few weeks I'll see a little sulphur on a leaf or two and the first thought I have is, is that powdery mildew? till I remember that it's sulphur. Gets me almost every time😄. Good luck. Chuck.

Hello There! This is my diary on Tom Ford Pink Kush that I've acquired. In week one I put all the info I found on the internet when I searched. It looks like it wants to grow. I topped the bigger plant a week and a half before the other. I think training will have to be used on this plant a little further along. I run a two stage garden and I will be harvesting this week. I'll be cutting down 5 plants of LSD and one each of Amnesia Lemon, Skunkberry and Burmberry. I'll post pictures next week, because its part of this diary. Then it will take a week or so to clean and sanitize the grow room, repot and mix nutrients. I'll try to explain as I go. Good Luck Chuck.

Hello. It's been a busy week around here. I've harvested the main grow room and included some of the pictures. > The Tom Ford Pink Kush (TFPK) plants are doing good They have grown about 3 inches since last time. > I included pictures of where the clones and seedlings live until they go into the main grow room. You can see why I need to keep them small. > I will have the plants in the main grow room next week. Till then. Chuck.

Hello. I been working to finish my LSD diary. I've added a few pictures of the finished product. > Tomato cages that I've attached to the pots works great. I'll attach a 3 foot stake, to tie to, for the buds that grow high. > Repotting- I use landscapers felt to cover the holes and it's good for air transfer. It gets soaked when the water is on and pulls air in as it drains but holds some water for overnight. > Medium- I use 1 part vermiculite to 3 parts perlite. Good drainage. I water 3 times a day. Likes the friendly fungi and microbes for living soil conditions. Is ph neutral and is made in Canada unlike coco fiber which has to be shipped a long way to get to me. > Lighting- I have a 430 watt HID on a light mover. It moves the light up and down a track on the ceiling and it pauses at the end for a minute to help the end plants. It's about 20 years old. I've replaced the gears once. If it make any noise I pack it with marine grease. Works great for 8 plants. > I'll be flowering in about 2 weeks so stay tuned. Chuck.

Hello. It's been a good week. I put my trim in the freezer (see the pictures, made easy) and made bubble hash (shown in my other diary Pink Kush) > Trim- I found out years ago that wax paper does wick water away, so I dry my trim on it. Set the trim on a screen and let dry. When the trim is dry it's easy to put away. Fold each end (at the same time) so the trim doesn't slide away and put in the bag. The wax paper just slides out. Putting the trim in the freezer weakens and makes brittle the stock that holds the THC crystal, making the THC crystal easier to remove for bubble hash and keif making. > Seeds- I've made my own seeds that are Amnesia Lemon from Barney- Female x with a male Dr. Atomic Northern Lights. If you have been following me and live in Canada, I would like to send you 10 free regular seeds. If your interested send me a message on the chat line. I'll get rid of your address as soon as the mail is sent.😇 > TFPK- Is growing fast. I've tried the figure 8 technique. Tying the bottom of one plant into a circle. Slows it down for a while. The other plant is just topped. See ya next week. Chuck.

Hello. In the winter my plants don't grow as fast so I'll do another week of veg to let them get a bit bigger. > Trimming and pruning- I have found that the plants respond better if I do a trim and prune about a week before going into flowering (12/12). They get over their shock fairly quickly in veg phase. I'll leave them alone (except for taking the odd fan leaf off) till the 3rd week of flowering. So at this point I'll clean up the bottom of the plant of fan leaves and sucker branches. I'll figure out how many clones of what I want to take, and I'll set up some bottom branches just for taking clippings, just before switching to 12/12. My real flowering time is 12.5 hours of light to 11.5 hours of dark. That is a extra 3.5 hours of light the plant gets a week. > Air Purifier- I use a Oreck XL Professional Air Purifier. It runs 24/7. It has electrified plates that captures and destroys- bacteria, molds ,viruses and fungi. I've lost 1 bud, to bud rot, 3 years ago and that has been the only incident since I started using it about 10 years ago. > Warming the Nutrient Solution- I didn't want to melt my plastic 15 gallon rubber maid tub. I found a stainless steel waste basket and drilled a bunch of 1/2 inch holes in it for water movement and put in a aquarium heater. It keeps the water about 20 c. The bubble hash from last week. The biggest piece weighed 66 gm. Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. I've taken clones and switched over to flowering. I like to flower for 10 weeks but I flush for the last 2 weeks. If you want a good description of my cloning process please look at my LSD diary, the week I switched to flowering. It was a slow week with lots of weather outside. I'm getting sort of tired of being under restrictions from the virus. I'm very glad I'm retired and have got a steady income from the pension and lots to smoke. Good luck. Chuck.

Hello. >Clones- The clones I took last week are doing good and are looking like they are supposed to for a week old. The lids stays on for another week. After 2 weeks they get their first "1/2 strength" taste of food. >Seeds Started. I've decided to start the Purple Paralysis seeds from Cream of the Crop Seeds for my next diary. I use 100 proof Vodka for sterilizing what I need. I wash the plastic container with soap and water and let dry. I add 2 drops of 29% Hydrogen Peroxide to 4 ounces of water that I soak the paper towels in. This will help clean the water of chlorine and mold spores. Squeegee out any air around the seed under the paper towel and let sit for 24 hours, then check. Check every 24 hours after that. Once my peat pellets have swollen with water I put them in the microwave for 1 minute to help kill any mold or fungi spores. Only touch the seeds with sterilized tools to put them on the peat pellet. >Hummingbirds- I love these little birds. I've dedicated a lot of my yard to them with flowering plants, bushes, shrubs and trees. At this time of year I go around the neighborhood and collect fallen leaves and bring them home to use as mulch. I've been doing that all week and am almost finished. If I put 4 inches of mulch down I get 1/2 inch of top soil after the bugs and fungi are finished with it. Good deal, I love free stuff. Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. The Tom Ford Pink Kush is starting to stretch a bit and I'm seeing flowers starting. This is the end of week 2 and the start of week 3. I've added some pictures of stuff around the edges of my grow room. > The light mover- moves up and down on it's track in about a minute. It pauses at the ends for 30 seconds to help the end plants get more light. The chain is very flexible and helps everything move smoothly. >Carbon Filter- Lasts about 5 to 6 months with new carbon pellets. > 2nd Light Hood- I do a final trim the end of 3 weeks and add a 2nd light at that time. I disconnect the light mover and hang 2 lights off the track. That makes 4 plants to one 430 watt light. At the end of the room is where I have the other stuff that works for me. Fan, air purifier, oil filled electric heater, dehumidifier and the blue ph, ppm, temp, meter. On the table is things I also use. That's a look around the edges of my grow room. Chuck.

Hello. The Tom Ford Pink Kush is doing great. It's a bit of a stretchy plant. Since I've turned it over to flowering it's stretched 4 to 5 inches between leaf nodes. It's very much like the Pink Kush it's crossed with (I've got a Pink Kush growing beside it). It's fairly resinous to the touch (rub test) at this stage. The smell (smelled my fingers after the rub test) is a little more candy like than the Pink Kush. >Trim/ Prune- I do my final trim/prune at 3 weeks, just before the major resin production starts. I take all the small/sucker branches and leaves off the lower 1/3 of the plant. I reduce the interior sucker branches and fan leaves for good air flow and light penetration. Yes it stresses the plant, but once the plant gets over its shock it jumps right in to flowering. Also reducing the sucker branches you get bigger top buds. I just take the fan leaves off the top 1/3 of the plant. I tie the top branches back for better light penetration. >2nd Light- I add a 2nd light at this point and unplug the light mover. General rule of thumb: the more light a bud site gets the bigger the bud. Also when you take a lot of fan leaves of, the plant is hurting for photosynthesis. And if you've done a good trim the small leaves on the buds take over the sugar production. What I mean by a good trim is- Don't take all the fan leaves off. Only take off what is blocking the light from the bud sites and what is not getting enough light. If you leave some fan leaves on the plant it won't go so deep into shock and recover much quicker. I've included some pictures to compare how much I've taken off. It's one of the hardest things to learn and Yes sometimes you can take off to much. Good Luck. Chuck.

Hello. This is Tom Ford Pink Kush. I was given a clone that I haven't smoked yet. All the info I could find on the internet is in week 1, If you would care to look. The buds are starting to have that creamy look of lots of THC crystals. You can see in the pictures the resin forming on the fan leaves.😊 >Helpful Syringes- When I mix the nutrient solution they are much easier for measuring than pouring. They are also good for sucking up extra water in the clone/seedling chamber. They are easy to buy at a medical supply store. Some times the numbers rub off so I mark the tube with a file and black felt pen every 1/2 ounce. You can buy them with different tips. This tip lets me add a tube to get to the bottom of the jug. Good luck. Chuck.

Hello. These plant like to grow. I think they are finished stretching now. I had to get in there and tie back the top buds yesterday, they were getting to close to the light. There is a 3 foot area around the HID lights the plants shouldn't grow in. They grow funny (weird not ha ha) if the branches grow inside that, the heat affects them. I've read that the digital lights are getting close to the HID lights in strength, so I might try a digital light in the future. I would use the digital lights n the summer and the HID lights in the winter. >Resin Production- WOW these plant are putting out the THC resin, I can see it on the fan leaves and the stock at the top of the plants, The sativa stickiness (different than indica stickiness) stuck with me for about a hour and the smell was a candy/perfume. The buds will be fatting up in the next couple of weeks. Oh Boy, Can't wait. Chuck.

Hello. This diary is for the Tom Ford Pink Kush clone I was given by a friend who got it of another friend. I haven't smoked any yet and don't know what the buzz is like. My friend had powder mildew on his plants this summer so he made hash. What he said about the TFPK is that he had to go lie down after smoking it, it was very strong : ) >Clones and Seedlings- All the clones have gotten over their regrowing stress and the seedlings are doing well. The seedlings are Purple Paralysis by Cream of the Crop. 2 of the 5 seeds made it. 1 didn't pop, 1 rotted in the soil, 1 came up without first leaves. The 2 plants you see, sprouted within 24 hours and were out of the soil in 2 days. >Ventilation Fan- This fan is about 20 years old. My first fan was a 4 inch disk fan inside a 4 inch dryer tube/pipe. It worked for about 4 plants, but when I grew more I got powder mildew. I bought this 8 inch with a 6 inch tube/pipe and a dimmer switch which I added. Works great. The fan is almost off through the winter and runs about 2/3 power in the summer. I have added my dehumidifier about 3 years ago. Before that I found I could control the relative humidity by removing some big fan leaves and adjusting the fan with the dimmer switch. Good Luck. Chuck.

Hello. Welcome to Tom Ford Pink Kush. >Smelly- It's gotten very smelly around here lately. I've got my carbon filter I should use, but it's legal in Canada so I'm not too worried about the smell. I was getting something from my car that is parked on the street and got a big waft of sweet, candy, perfume, Kush smell. Ummm. >Crystal Covered Buds- These plant are very crystal covered. More than the Pink Kush that is sitting beside it. I haven't tried this plant yet, so I don't know how strong it is. I got a good report from a friend who had tried some from a dispensary. He said I could feel it by the end of the joint (he smokes a lot). It had a good up buzz for about a hour before couchlock set in. He said he couldn't believe all he got done in that hour and that it put him to sleep on the couch. I'm looking forward to trying it. I hope it's as strong as it looks. >Dry Ice Hash- Made some for the first time. I used my Bubble Hash Bags. There's video's on youtube if your interested. The CO2 hash/kief turned out sort of spongey and sticky at the same time. It could be pressed into hash easily. I like it the way it is. It's easy to load in a pipe or added to a joint. The coldness of the dry ice helps retain the flavor and smell, tasty. >Flushing- Yes I still flush and I'll be flushing starting next week for 2 weeks. Till Then. Chuck.

Hello. This is Tom Ford Pink Kush. End of week 9 and the start of week 10. WOW look at that color. Lotsa white with some green and pink thrown in. I should get lots of color after I flush. >Flushing- I'll start flushing today. I flush for 2 weeks with water and Hydrogen Peroxide (HP). I top up the water and add more HP every 3 days. My mix is 1 once of 29% HP to 5 Gallons of water or 30mm to 20 liters of water. HP doesn't like root rot fungus or bacteria so this is a good time to add it. I can control fungus gnats with HP and water in the last 2 weeks. By adding more oxygen to the water the plant gets more oxygen in its sap. I can't prove it, but I think this helps with Osmosis, and dissipating of the excess mineral build up in the plant tissue. I use to use HP all the time. Now I only use it in the last 2 weeks or if I have a problem. With lots oxygen in the water the plants will turn a lot more colorful without getting cold. Good luck. Chuck.

Hello. Welcome to Tom Ford Pink Kush. Were are almost finished, just one more week to go till I try this crystal covered cannabis. Oh boy! >Flushing- All is going well. There is some color changes happening caused by the HP (hydrogen peroxide) and lack of nutrients in the water. Although, I started with 90 ppm and a few days later I had 900 ppm. I added more water and brought the ppm down. I added more HP about half way through the week. This week I'll do the same thing but the ppm won't go up so high. I also use Enzymes Complete at this time. The enzymes will eat anything killed by the HP and other organic matter that could cause mold or rot. Till next week. Good Luck. Chuck.

Hello. This is Tom Ford Pink Kush's last pictures before harvest. This is the end of week 11 which is 1 more week than I normally flower, but things grow a little slower in the cooler winter grow room so I added a week. I like to have a couple of days of dark before harvest. This is part of the drying process for me. The container and plant are a little lighter to lift out of the grow room (or tent). The dark also helps with the maturation of the trichomes and a better taste. >Growing the Plant> TFPK was easy to grow except for the stretching at flowering time. I'll be more prepared for that next run. The plants produced a little bigger buds than the Pink Kush I have growing right beside it. The TFPK also seemed to have a bit more resin than the Pink Kush. Resin covers this plant. It's on the stock and fan leaves. I'll be saving the trim for hash making!!!. There was a lot of color change in the leaves. They went a dark green/purple. The buds are dense to the pinch and smell of candy/perfume. The branches are strong enough to hold up the buds : ) This plant was a cross of Bubba Kush x Death Star. Then that was crossed with the Pink Kush, a west coast favorite (thanks to me). (Please read my Pink Kush Comes Home diary, week 1 for the real story). Till next time. Chuck.

My Tom Ford Pink Kush was given to me as a clone. I thought i would do a diary on it because I could find little about growing it on the internet. Bare in mind this was a middle of the winter grow. The average temp was about 19-20 c in the grow area. Each plant produced a little over 2 ounces of absolutely crystal covered, medium sized, dense buds with a (best guess) of 23-25% THC. slightly stronger than the Pink Kush growing right beside it. There is more pink and purples than the Pink Kush too. The buzz is more of a body stone. I can see why people use it for sleep, but it doesn't knock me out, I can still function if i need to. The taste is of citrus/candy/perfume. Be prepared for some stretching in the flowering stage. The plant that was crossed with the Pink Kush was: Bubba Kush x Death Star. This plant was nicknamed Death Kush because it really knocked you out. Good Luck.

Hello. Here we are at the end of Tom Ford Pink Kush. The plant was easy to grow but the difficult part will be to see if I can coax bigger buds from this clone. I would like to thank my friend for letting me take a clipping of his plant :) If you grow this plant be prepared for some stretching in the first 4 weeks of flowering. >The taste of this plant is of candy citrus with some perfume thrown in. There is also a slight, dank bitterness to the taste as well. >The buzz is slightly stronger than the Pink Kush with more body to it so the plant will be high in CBD. I feel the buzz through my chest and in the back of the mouth. People use this strain for sleep and pain and I can see why. With a slight ringing in my ears I feel light and high and have said to myself while watching tv, Yeah I could go to sleep. but It is not a knock out type of stone, I can still function If I need to. Plant #1 Had 66.5 g of dry bud. Plant #2 Had 69 g of dry bud. Total for 2 plant was135.5 g or 4.83 oz. Please remember this was a middle of the winter grow. With the grow room average daytime temp. was 19-20 c. I would thank you for looking in on my diary. Good Luck. Chuck.
