Hello, and welcome to my PEV Alaskan Thunderfuck diary! I'm a long time amateur gardener, but this is my first serious attempt at growing cannabis. I'm looking forward to a fun and educational experience.
I placed a seed in a Rapid Rooter and then put it in a covered germination tray. After 24 hours the seed popped. I left her in the tray for another 48 hours and then transferred it into a 3 inch peat pot filled with Ocean Forest. I then planted it in a 3 gal fabric pot, which contained a mix of Fox Farms Ocean forest and Nature’s Living Soil. I mixed a dose of Great White in the water to encourage strong root growth.
This week went by fast! I just kept her moist and let her do her thing. Just like marriage. :)
This week went quite well. I watered around the edge of peat cup every other day just to encourage root growth. Other than that, I just ensured I didn’t over or under water. So far, she’s looking strong!
This has been a fun week, watching this little one grow. So far, she has been easy to maintain. She’s gotten 2 cups of water every other day, mixed with a little molasses and Great White. I’ll be looking at your top her soon.
This was a fun week. She continued to get 3 cups of water every two days. I topped her on day 26, and that appears to have slowed down her growth a bit, but I’m sure she will recover. I also think i may have overwatered her a bit, which is slowing her down. So far, this has been a lot of fun. I'm learning new things every week!
This was another fun week. I think topping really slowed her down, but I flipped her to 12/12 anyway. I would have liked to veg her another week, but I don’t think I have time in order to enter the contest.
This has been another fun week with this plant. I had to defoliate her a bit, to keep the bud sites open, and performed some leaf tucking. She’s starting to level out and I’m keeping the Lux at about 50000. She’s getting 4 cups of water every 2 days. She’s lush and green, and just a beautiful plant.
This was an exciting week. She went into flower at day 47 from germination and looks great. I am concerned that the living soil might not be enough to get her through to harvest, but time will tell. I am not happy with the way I trained her, which gave me 6 colas. I think I could gave done better. That said, she's been a joy to grow so far.
I enjoyed watching her grow this week. She's still stretching and I'm hoping for a bit more before she stops. I did a little leaf tucking to expose one of the lower buds. She seems to be doing well with the water only living soil method. I did add a banana peel to her water in order to give her a little more potassium.
Hi again! This was another fun week. I think she's done stretching. I did some major drfoliatuon to open up the lower bud sites, and she looks to have taken it well. She's getting about 0.25 gal of water, with a little molasses and a banana peel, every other day. I fear I may have overrwatered her a bit, but nothing major. She looks fine.
I still regret flipping her so early. She is so beautiful, I would have loved to veg her for 2 more weeks, but the contest deadline makes time a comcern. Even so, she's looking great and I'm reallying enjoying this.
She's been a pleasure to grow since the first day! The stretch is done, and now I'm hoping she puts on a bit of bulk. She's a bit small, but that is because of the relatively short veg period. Next time, I will veg a couple weeks longer. I didn't have any problems. She seems to be doing well with just the Natures' Living Soil, but I'll withhold judgement until the end of the grow. I am really enjoying this, and I wonder why I haven't grown for years...oh, that's right. lol. Can't wait to see how she finishes.
This week, she looked a little light green so I made a compost tea out of the Nature's Living Soil. Hopefully that will pick her up. I love this plant. No other problems this week. She just kept going strong.
Well, I think that compost tea may have been a little too strong. She's showing some signs of slight nutrient burn. I should be able to fix that easy enough. I also noticed my light was too low. I was over 100000 lux and I think I may have stressed her a bit. I moved the light up a few inches. Lux is now about 69000.
I'm getting closer to harvest, which I am planning at around day 65 of flower. I checked her under the microscope and she is coming along well. Shes drinking a lot, and needs about 1/4 gal every 3 days. The smell is pretty strong, and she's looking good. I just wish I could have waited 2 more weeks to start flower. .
This was another fun week. She is fading hard and harvest is right around the corner. My tent smells to high hell and her buds are very sticky. Her leafs are clawing quite a bit and my last microscope check showed she was ready. I didn't want to take her too far amber, and I think I got it pretty close to right. She was a thirsty girl, taking about 1L every other day.
This plant was a pleasure to grow. Germination was fast and easy, and she grew well the entire time. Even with my mistakes, she kept growing strong. She responded well to LST and topping, and wasn't picky for nutrients. I only vegged her for a little over 4 weeks, and that is my biggest regret. I wish I would have vegged her for two or three more weeks. She would have yielded a lot more.
She did not have any pest, disease, or mold problems. She was strong and resilient throughout the grow. Great genetics.
She's a smelly girl! She was very pungent and smelled awesome. It's difficult to describe her smell. Very unique.
I let her cure for a week, and did a smoke test. The effect was great, with a very nice head high that changed to a nice relaxing body effect. This is a potent strain that had a lemon cream taste. Love it! The buds were dense. with a lot of frost. I really love this strain!
I am very pleased with this strain and will run again.
This was an easy grow for a novice grower. From the start, she was strong and grew at a rigorous pace. I made the typical newbie mistakes, like over watering, but she handled it with ease. She had an awesome fade and the smell of over ripe bananas filled my tent. She weighed 100g wet, and yielded 25g of good tight buds and 6g of shake.
Looking back, I would have done several things differently. Foremost, I would have vegged her for at least 2 more weeks. I kept her small, and I wish I wouldn't have.
This was a super soil grow, and all in all, it worked well. That said, I think she could have used a few more nutrients during mid-flower. I think from now on I will just use super soil for my autoflowers.
Overwatering seems to be a vice of mine. I need to watch that carefully during future grows.
I was happy with the way I trained her. Topping worked well for this strain. I wish I would have topped her twice.
Overall, I'm happy with this grow. I harvested almost an ounce of tight, fragrant buds and had a lot of fun along the way.
@Dr_Boom, u killed it. I got like 1 seed lol and saw others harvest they all derm leafy af but then again maybe they heat stressing an Alaskan plant and pumping n and kelp which i dunno why people do here in flower
