Gorilla girl (Ggi) & GSC 1st attempt

thisiserico Gorilla girl (Gg) is growing strong and healthy! Girl scout cookies (Gsc) is taking longer to grow, seems it will keep up just fine though. They are growing in 1gal smart pots.

thisiserico Had minor problems with some Gg. They grew faster than expected and the stem couldn't hold all the weight. One of the plants fell off to the ground, had to add more soil to hide the stem within. Also brought the lights a little closer to the plants, just in case they were trying to reach the light.

thisiserico This week has been really promising, as leaves are starting grow as expected. Just started with vegetation nutrients, will slowly stop using the root grower for now. Had to add a little more soil to prevent the stems to grow way too high. Will keep an eye on it!

thisiserico This week has been incredible for the plants, they have exploded in vegetation. Not quite there yet, but you can see how the leave patterns emerge. I'm thinking about repotting all the plants to see if I can bring them down a little. Trying to avoid weak stems while more vegetation grows. Not sure if I should wait until branches appear, to have a better estimation of how much I should lower them down.

thisiserico The last weeks have been a disaster. A thin layer of a white substance appeared outside the pots. We had reason to believe it was salts. A day after taking it out, the same coat started covering the soil. We had to remove the affected soil and add new one. The roots didn't seem affected; we couldn't see any mould in the soil. After spraying part of the plants and soil with anti-fungus everything went back to normal. Time to keep a close eye. This has been the last week on this light schedule. From now on 12/12, starting flowering stimulation!

thisiserico After some tough weeks, all the plants started recovering. This was the first flowering week, we had been stimulating the plants for 10 days already with both light and nutrients.
