Seed started June 29 so Oct 1 is Day 95. Will harvest in a few days.
Plant turned very deep purple due to cold overnight temps, and it looks great. Plant was reasonably well tended but likely a bit under watered.
Smell is noticeable but not super strong outside.
Super Skunk XXL purchased from bulk seeds section of Original Sensible Seeds, and listed here as Auto Skunk. Plant got a decent amount of sun but was likely a bit under watered. The sunlight intensity drops quickly here in September and the buds are quite loose indicating a lack of sunlight during flowering. With an earlier start, more sunlight, and consistent watering, this plant would do better.
This was an early attempt at freeze drying, and the buds got too dry. The buds are in mason jars with a piece of wet paper towel to rehydrate. Need to shorten the drying time a bit further. The freeze dryers work great, but it’s a bit tricky to optimize. Need more practice using it. Buds rehydrate easily and become soft to the touch and not crispy.
Over dried and several fragments went for hash.
