Hey guys ! I’m growing for the first time ! I’m using a Mars Hydro TS-1000 and the seeds I’m using are 2 x GSC auto flowers and 1 x pineapple express and 1 x white widow ( unsure if these are autos or not ) The photos posted are from today which is Day 14 from sprouting through the soil ! Temperature has been approx 23-26 celsius and humidity ranges between 60-90 ! I used distilled water for the first 2 weeks from germination and then just tap water , I’m waiting on a Ph tester so that I can adjust the water accordingly to get the right Ph level . My main question and concern is that I have no idea what level to have the light set to , I have it currently set at about 40 ( it’s dimmable from 0-100 ) . Should I have the light set to brighter ? I have the light hanging 24 inches from the plants on a schedule of 18/6 ! I also have a small fan hanging at the top of the tent .

Hey guys , I’ve noticed my plants start wilting and a few little yellow spots and lots of gnats flying around the grow room :((( I’ve ordered some yellow sticky pads to hang around and also will cease to water for a few days ! Any advice would be greatly appreciated !

Hello Fungus gnats are a pain! The best most effective treatment I've found is the granular "mosquito bites" they sell them everywhere, garden stores, home depot..Walmart. sprinkle it on soil, in any saucers under pots and most importantly soak some in a gallon of water overnight and water the soil thoroughly. It'll kill most of the larvae in there. You can also do neem meal or cake and similar thing soak overnight and stir and then soak the soil.👍 problem should be solved or manageable. Keep the yellow sticky cards though right above the soil and that way it can catch any flying adults.

You probably do have fungus gnats, but I do not think that's causing the wilting. I think you are over-watering her. Water in BTI its an organic biological.

Sounds like you are moving in the right direction! Would recommend what you are doing and some diatomaceous earth powder to sprinkle on the soil—- it’s like shards of glass for the bugs. And maybe a pest management spray—- Amazing Dr Zymes is good to spray on the soil and plants... good luck!

So do you have the light at 100% the whole time and just change the distance ? that’s what I took from your earlier response but I just want to double check ! thanks so much :)))

I don't start increasing my lights until about week 2, once it gets its next 2 sets of leaves.

wow thank you SO much for that ! Extremely helpful ! Ok so would you say I am at sapling stage or veg stage ? This will determine if I move the lights to 60 inches or 36 inches ! I appreciate your advice so much this has been fantastic !
