Pineapple Express Auto

Update 5th October - day 2 Pineapple Express Automatic - 420 Fastbuds -x3 seeds -Biobizz Light Mix & Canna Clay Pebbles, Ratio 5:1 -20L plastic pot -12L fabric & airpot Started seeds in their final pots on the 29th September and covered with plastic bottles to maintain humidity levels, we watered the pots with water at pH 6.4 and placed them in the grow room for 12-24 hours before sowing the seeds to activate the microbials in the compost and bring it up to a good temperature. All 3 seeds germinated within 4 days and their first true leaves are all through, off to a good start - fastbuds living up to their name!

Update 12 October - day 10 The lil' ladies had a drink of water yesterday, with Ecothrive neutralise to take out the chlorine and chloramine and pH down added to get it to 6.4. We sprayed them with biobizz leafcoat before lights out last night, so if any pests find their way in they'll have an extra layer to get through! Will add more pictures as the week goes on. Update day 28 This week that plants have had two feeds of Bio Nova super soilmix. We did FIMing a couple of days ago which they've responded well to, it doesn't seem to have stressed them out. Waiting to get plant bends to do some light lst and expose the bud sites

This week the plants are flying, they've had a couple of feeds and we've done some lst using plant bends to expose as many bud sites as possible. Also done some defoliating to allow more light to the lower leaves and bud sites Figured out they need calcium in their feed as we have soft water here, so hopefully caught that before it's an issue Super exciting watching these grow so happily!

This week the ladies have had 3 feeds and are drinking about 1L each, #1 is in a plastic pot and stays wet for longer than the airpot and fabric pot so is drinking a bit less at 850ml Been doing more defoliating to expose the lower bud sites to more light They're looking really happy at the moment!

Defoliated #1 + #2 at the start of the week. we noticed a couple of red spots on some leaves on #3, think this could be the starting signs of ca overdose (ca15 been in every feed for the last 2 weeks) Gave them a drink with supersoil mix at half our normal strength, and pk 13-14.

plants have started showing signs of potassium and phosphorus deficiencies as you can see in the photos there's some rusty spots and the older leaves are going pale gave them a feed yesterday and they'll get another tomorrow so hopefully they will bounce back soon Checked the run off #1 - 6.7pH - 630ppm #2 - 6.5 - 605 #3 - 6.2 - 7400 Not sure what's going on with #3, there's clay pebbles at the bottom of it's fabric pot which we've realised could be causing problems for the roots

After the deficiencies we noticed last week we've been gradually increasing the nutrients They are starting to get their colour back but it's stunted the stretch a bit gutted but think it'll be alright

Been an alright week, still recovering from the deficiencies #1 has been the least affected, could be because it's in a bigger plastic pot it had a longer buffer zone than the smaller air pot and fabric pot #2 is taking longest to recover and is a bit behind her sisters so she got a bit of added calnesium in the feed today #3 is going back to the right shade of green! #1 & 3 have pistils turning orange and are sending up nicely so hopefully will be ready soon, looking forward to having some smoke that's more day time friendly haha

Ladies are fattening up nicely only #2 is still getting the same feed as last week, the others are on plain water now Just chopped a wee nug off each plant that's getting flushed and it smells amazing Really looking forward to bringing in the new year with this uncured pineapple 🍍🍍🍍!!

Buds are fattening up nicely Chopped #3 down and it's smoking real good! #1 is getting flushed now and #2 is still getting feed Gonna let them mature quite a bit while we smoke the one we've chopped 😎

This week we chopped #1 down, she's looking really purple and seems like it could be our best harvest yet! Tried a bit that was quick dried and it seems smoother than #3 which wasn't flushed for as long #2 has got her colour back finally, we'll start flushing her now for at least a week to let her mature

#2 still going, getting flushed now Got some beautiful colours going on and she smells great Checked the trichomes and there's quite a few amber 🤓 Should be ready for chop next week

Great strain to grow, took quite a lot longer than expected but think it may be a lack of Co2 and low temps which caused this. P.E #1 (12L fabric pot) got chopped ages ago, and yielded 38g #2 (12L air pot) 72.5g #3 (plastic 15L pot) 80g There was definitely a difference in the nutrient absorption between the pots, the time they were overfed the plant in the airpot was affected almost immediately and took a while to fix and the plant in the plastic pot was completely fine. So what they say about the airpots is definitely true - better water and nutrient absorbing capacity. Will be avoiding fabric pots not had any good experience with them. Overall great strain to grow, especially if you want some day time smoke!
