here we have two amazing gentics from two brilliant seed banks', first we have PURPLE QUEEN from RoyalQueenSeeds. secondly we have the pungent STARDAWG from the one and only FAST-BUDS GENTICS both these flavours have been on my grow list for quite a long time now so really excited to be growing them and to be bring you guys along for the journey! 😝
so during week one we didnt really get up to much started the girls off with a really light feeding of the rooting nutrients for 5 days which was 500ml of water to 2ml of CANNA Rhizotonic (also i was using this as a foilage spray.
after the five days i moved on two the giving the girls the full feed of the A+B along side the Rhizotonic.
so week two there really hasnt been any large developments really just load of steady growth really happy with how these two responded to the feed next week well put her on the proper veg feed while she remains in veg.
so week three has been a massive success managed to get the two girl re-potted into 3 gallon fabric smart pots which if i don't say so myself has been nothing but successful, the girl have put there root right down into this new space hopefully in the next week or two the nodes will be long enough to begin there training to allow for that all need light penetration...
so now there has always been a lot of question around weather or not to trim auto flowers now for me personally i think its so necessary to trim and train these girls from as early on as possible for them to at least get used to you pushing and pulling all while trimming off those fan leaves before flower that way she's sorta used to it and its not so much of a shock when your in flower.
week 4 has been another brilliant week super excited with the overall growth of these two. they've responded brilliantly to everything that I've done them which leads me to next week where ill be beginning there LST as all the lower nodes are growing really long and strong so will be time to tie them down and super crop the top to allow the rest of the sexy plant to catch up and produce that even canopy.
as this week has gone on i noticed about halfway through that both the STARDAWG and the PUPRLE QUEEN have started there transition week which the rule of thumb is two weeks so as of Monday ill begin to up the feed and add the boost additives..
as we we come to an end of week 5 i think its time to just take a step back and just have a look at the progress that i've made, all three of the girls are looking amazing, the purple queen has responded brilliantly to the lst with all the nodes needing to be readjusted everyday as the growth rate as been incredible. shes showing very strong signs of flower with both the purple queen and the stardawg showing there gender. the height of the purple queen has deffently increased over the week as well.
the stardawg hasnt shown as strong a growth as what her sister has but she still look as if shes going to be a loveluy strong plant. i've begun with some light lst at the beginning of the week and increased it as the weeks gone on. I've also given her a light defoliation through out the week to allow for the light to hit those lower nodes.
she still as the week ends is showing signs of slow growth so ill ease up on the feed and let her pot dry for a day or two longer than i would, once this is done ill continue with her normal feeding guide along side the purple qeeen.
so this week I continued the LST training on both the stardawg and the purple queen, both plants have taken to it really well with me having to adjust the way I've set the ties.
also this week I've struggled when to water as the pots are taking about 2 days to dry out now this could be a problem as i want the plant to have a steady up take of nutrients so not sure what to do there. but they both seem to look really happy and are growing away lovely not much of a smell there at the moment on the purple queen buttttt the STARDAWG omfg you know that's a dawg strain the smell is there already like I can't believe how strong the fan leaves smell blown my mind a little bit.
the dawgs growth isn't all that the last week but that could be the stress I've put her under and being an autoflower she might not be enjoying herself as much as I'd like SO I'll ease up on her the next week let her regain her strength a bit.. until next week growers...
