I can't really say much except that all Banana Joe grow vital and homogeneous. The photos speak for themselves.

As I mentioned last week, the Banana Joe grows very homogeneously. Meanwhile three significant phenos can be filtered out. The first one is a more Sativa BubbleGum Banana Pheno which is a bit more stretchy with wide flowering distances. The second one is Sativa heavy and is more in the lower yield range. The stretch remains in the middle range (150%) and resin production starts as with most directly at 14 days of flowering. The last pheno grows slowly and has more hybrid shaped leaves. Its smell is very peculiar and it is not easy to classify. Some think of roasted meat while others think of gravy. This pheno has turned out (after curing) to be the Sour Banana Pheno. The blend of a Fruity Banana Mother and an Acidic Tangie Father is 90% pure fruit basket of exotic profiles. Here and there a slightly sweetish lemon pheno appears, which reminds of a good old Haze.

So far, my four favorite Phneos... 16, 21, 26, 30. They all grow with a high resin production and they all have their own fruity smell. Further details about the individual Phneos will follow shortly. <3

Week five and the buds become more interesting. Meanwhile the flowers are covered by a very nice resin and it smells like a field of tropical fruits. The slightly dull earthy banana smell is still noticeable. The pictures show different interesting phenotypes which are slightly different from each other. While the #26 loves to stretch and form smaller but imense resin that reaches to the tips of the leaves, the #22 prefers to grow more compactly with a light foxtail growth towards the end of flowering. However, it should be noted that each phenotype has a very strong resin production. The terpene profiles vary from Sweet Gum Banana to Earthy Banana to Sour/Red Banana which has a slight tangie touch but also has some gravy.

As you can already clearly see, a beautiful layer of trichomes now envelops the flowers in week six. Little by little the queens are flaring up and in one week the flush will begin.

The girls are getting more and more excited. Also the resin production is now in full swing. A high dose of CANNAZYM to loosen old roots in the substrate and to create more air to breathe. In about a week the flushing will begin. A full description in detail of each pheno will follow with the harvest update here. So far we wish everyone a nice weekend! <3

It is truly one of the most intense varieties that has ever come under our noses. It simply smells like a fruit basket. The Bubble Gum (Rotten) Banana smell came through the strongest.

BJ PHENOHUNT OVERVIEW Banana Joe #13 She grew compactly with thicker and darker leaves (indica dominant). The flowering went more into the width than into the height. This pheno as well as another one were very intense regarding the special sour/rotten note. No. 13 was more dull and earthy. The effect was more a couchlock than productive and stimulates the feeling of hunger. Banana Joe #14 Some of you have already seen this pheno on one of our last pictures. It is very similar to our favorite keeper. Banana Joe #14 had a fast growth and long internodium intervals. Her flowers were around average yield range with a firm structure and a very high resin content. The taste was in the earthy, slightly dull Banana-Bubblegum profile. Whether in the morning or during the day, this pheno allowed me to go about my daily routine normally without having sluggish phases. It really appealed to me who to part with this pheno, but you have to cut back somewhere if you are looking for the best out of those available to you. Banana Joe #16 is still my favorite pheno of those who tend more to the sweet side. Her growth was similar to No. 14 but with less internode spacing, which resulted in a tighter flower growth. While the 14 was more in a dull, earthy banana note when the jar was opened, the 16 was just bubbling with fruity terpenes. The taste reminds of a sweet banana chewing gum with a super subtle earthy aftertaste. From the feeling it is a perfect hybrid. If you take it slowly, she treats you gently. If you're a tough guy, she'll go hard on you too. From Creative Mindset to Couchlock, everything was represented. Banana Joe #19 beautiful appearance but not too specific enough in aroma what was looked for. Her flowers brought a nice yield and had a very sweetish haze/citrus note. The effect was as expected... Bright, energetic, talkative. Banana Joe #21 She grew like her mother. Banana Joe #21 was really the closest to mother genetics. She grew very thin with smaller tubers that were full of resin. Nothing against small yielders, but our goal was to create something of our own, which would reward us with a little more yield. You have already seen a few other phenos, but to share all of them would go beyond the scope of this article, but there will be a few more of course. Banana Joe #22 Oh yes, this one is sour! One of two phenos that bring a lot of father. Banana Joe #22 (video) is definitely close to the epicenter of the symbiosis between banana and orange. However, the orange is characterized by its very sour note, which in turn makes this pheno a sour banana. MAD BANANA I would call it. As neither the mother nor the father are present of this genetics anymore, there will be no re-pollination in the sense of BX. There will only be an F2 or a trial with another male to choose from. She grew to be a Sativa dominant with increased foxtail growth. Banana Joe #30 has drawn direct attention to herself through her noted flowering. Her yield was in the higher range in this cross. As you already know, some phenos are more acidic while others are really sweet. No. 30 was in the citrus range with a subtle banana finish. We had hoped that it might become more significant as it matured but other phenos definitely trumped it. Flowering Time – 65 Days Gender – Regular Sativa Dominant
