All 3 seeds cracked and have been planted. Each 3" pot has some mykos about half-way down. I'm hoping for 1 of each sex, though at least 1 female is preferred.
The plants are doing well, they're resisting nutes though. The two smaller ones took a hit when I tried adding <1/8th strength veg mix with the GH nutes. Normally I have to feed plants by this point, though there must me left-overs in the re-used soil.
Around week 2 I poked holes in the paper that is in the bottom of the pot. The paper is to prevent soil from coming out. The holes are for me to see roots when they start to come out.
This week has gone well. 2/3 were transplanted, and the last is not quite there yet. It was a replacement to a dead seedling though.
The plants are still happy with plain water at ~6.5ph. Sometimes I'll add a bit of the nutes to the water to see how they do, so far they show slight burning.
The largest plant has been topped.
The plants are happy with straight water still. 2 have been transplanted to 3 gal pots. They be trained to have a flat canopy without being tied down. I'll try to get 2 clones from each since these aren't sexed yet. I'm happy with the strain so far.
The plants are still on straight water. I've added the cages for some support in flower, so we'll see how that goes. Overall, things look good. They'll be ready for sexing/flowering in a few weeks. I'm waiting for them to get a little taller. They'll be topped and defoil'd as needed to keep an even canopy.
I'll start grabbing clones (2 from each plant) from each plant for future use. Usually it takes ~20+ days for clones to root for me.
The plants did well this week. I later found out that my ph pen was faulty. I have since switched to liquid test kits for testing ph.
The plants will be moved to the flowering tent for sexing. +2 clones from each plant are taken. Females will be bloomed. Males will probably be kept for breeding later on.
2 of the shockwaves are in the bloom tent for sexing. One ended up male and the other was taking it's time. This week I found out cheap PH pens drift and can't be trusted. I switched to a liquid ph test and slowly introduced some feeding
Things are improving since switching away from cheap PH pens. The one female in flower has thick main stems. The other smaller side-branches are slowly catching up. The other plants are more even, though one ended up as a male and the other is in veg still.
12/17 is when I asked around about the light colored leaves. I was thinking they were overfed and were locked-out. The people I asked said they seemed under-fed. I then discovered the "Lucas Formula" for General Hydroponics nutrients. It's a ratio to simplify feedings instead of guessing. From 12/17 on, I switched to that feeding formula. Unfortunately, the plant took a hit, though the good thing is that this strain produces huge nugs.
The plant is doing good dispite my previous underfeeding. Over-all it's doing good. At this time I discovered VPD. By adding a mister to the room, the tent usually has the ideal temp and humidity.
I'm drooling over this plant and the patience is starting to be a challenge. It looks good for the previous trouble. I'm already excited to see how the next batch of clones turn out--not underfed, ideally. lol
This strain's nugs are amazingly huge and dense. I'll definitely keep the clones for more rounds. Thankfully the clones are healthy.
I'm disappointed with the underfeeding that I did earlier in the grow. Thankfully the plant is holding out and doing well despite the earlier problems.
Most of the trichs are cloudy. None seemed clear, and I didn't spot any amber ones. There should be a couple weeks left. Dawgo said the flowering time is about 8-10 weeks.
The plant is doing good. It's suuuuper frosty. All the trichomes are cloudy and I'm waiting for some more amber. It may take another week still. I did have to harvest a few branches since some of the buds were getting a bit of yellowing on the bud leaves.
Most of the trichomes are still cloudy. I'm waiting for some more amber at the moment. I might harvest it soon since I'll need the space in the flower tent for the next batch.

Week 16. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!
SHOCKWAVE F2 by Dawgo of LJSS - Custom Breeder & Strain
Edit 2/7 - 2 more pics were added. They seem to show up better. After a hit of this strain, it's very 'heavy.' Definitely a more relaxing sort of vibe.
Original harvest post:
A sad update that's similar to the Maui grow: The plant picked up some powdery mildew from a gifted clone. I lost about half the plant and I'm a little skeptical about what's left.
Anyway, the strain is suuuuper frosty. The surviving nugs need about 2 weeks to finish curing.
There are a few more clones that are about ready to go into flowering. I'm looking forward to a good run since I worked out a few kinks during this grow. Hopefully nothing extreme comes up during the next grow. The clones are looking good, and the WPM has been almost eliminated since I've started spraying stuff down with potassium bicarbonate. Wettable Sulpher will also be added in the future. That'll all be sprayed throughout veg and the first week or two of flower.
The lucas formula is looking good for everything in veg and it seemed to work well in flower. It sucks that I ran into the earlier feeding problems. The plant seemed to do well besides that issue.
Overall it was a good grow. I definitely learned a lot and am thankful for this strain. On to the next round!
I may occasionally add more pics to this journal of future shockwave grows.
