Pretty quick growth / short nodal spacing on Jim.
I topped above the 4th node and did a little LST by staking the main stem and bending the top of the stem towards the opposite side of the pot. I trimmed some of the larger fan leaves to expose the side branching.
I’m starting to see the results of topping and am working on bending the stems away from the middle of the plant to get that even canopy everyone’s been talkin about.
Overall, looks like pretty healthy new growth. Still no nutrients this week. Finally feeling comfortable with upping the water, though; my first runoff came through at 600ppm and 6.6 pH.
First week of flowering! My other plant was getting a little big for the space so I had to flip the lights a little earlier than I wanted to.
The shape is looking good! Rounding out in a really nice way. This is going much better than my first plant.
First nutes went in this week @ 600ppm. Runoff came out at about 870.
Also, these fan leaves are huge compared to my other two plants at this age. These are some pretty leafy leaves
Not too much to report this week.
Added calimagic to the solution to cover my bases - starting to see a few brown spots on the older leaves.
This is a much bushier plant than I expected. For some reason I was expecting more vertical growth (which is happening a bit more now- also this is a pretty young plant so that is also probs a contributing factor) 🌱
Flowers are starting to form. Leaves are dusted with trichomes and growth is still elevated.
I’m still defoliating a little to keep the bud sites in the center exposed to light, but leaving the outer leaves alone unless they’re touching the soil.
Still bending stems down now and then to try and keep it as flat as possible.
Really happy with this one so far. 💜
Minimal issues and it’s soaking up the nutes. I increased the bloom nutrients and now I am watering every other day, about 3L per watering, and nutes every other watering.
All of my plants have developed some weird spots on the leaves. I think it’s a fungus but I am not totally sure. Initially I was thinking calcium/mag deficiency but nothing seemed to fix it and from what I’ve red, round spots are more likely mold than a deficiency. It doesn’t seem to be stunting growth too much but I’m worried it’ll get worse further into flowering.
There’s not much to report this week. I had to defoliate a little due to some mold/humidity issues. Otherwise, buds are slowly developing and everything looks good!
I love this little plant! 🌱Getting closer to harvest. I’m estimating, based on trichomes and pistils, that I will harvest at the beginning of week 9 (along with my Clementine plant).
Started flushing this week in preparation and we’re down to about 550-600ppm.
This was one sticky and stinky plant - super spicy from flower to harvest and through drying. We’re at two days in the drying tent and I can already smell the berry coming through too. 💜
Out of the three I had harvested this fall (others were Clementine and Blueberry auto) this was by far the most resinous. It was small but took a while to trim because of the sticky as hell flowers.
Will update with final weight / effects once it’s dry and in jars.
As always, thanks for looking and reading! Any feedback is much appreciated 🌱
