Fed Oct.31
Had to bring down the nutes to 5.8 as runoff had gotten a bit high last week.
Runoff now is------PH= 6.4-----------PPM= 750
Lavender Jones has caught up with the Grapefruit and they are both looking real good.
The small one in video is a Grapefruit that the main stem had gotten chopped by mistake. (Dropped a filter on it by mistake). It's looking good, but definitely behind.
On light meter, Lux is about the 48,000 range.
Will push the PPM up next feed.............................Have been feeding about every 3rd day.
Run off from the last watering was starting to get into the 1100-1200 number, and the Lavender Jones has started to show signs of leaf issues.
This watering, I cranked back to just the AN Cal/Mag Xtra and Max Bud and the PPM reading of the water was 350.
After runoff, the ppm has still stayed high at about 1150. I adjusted ph of the solution to 5.9, and the media runoff is now at 6.65, so the lime in the Promix HP is still doing it's job.
The grapefruit has stayed absolutely 100% healthy, where the Lavender Jones is showing quite a bit of leaf disease.
I've come to the conclusion that the Grapefruit is a nutes pig, where as the Lavender Jones is not a big feeder.
Lux reading at the middle of the tent is about 60000, but plant coverage ranges from 35000 to 60000.
Lavender Jones looking better this week after decent shot of Cal/Mag last week..........even though the other nutes have Calcium and Magnesium in them, still had showed to be deficient. (probably Calcium)
Hitting the bud juice a little harder watering today, Nov.12 and cranking back the N.
After todays watering, PH and Run Off:
Lavender Jones-------PH-6.65-------------PPM-536
(came down from 1100----she wasn't happy there.
Grapefruit-------------PH-6.72-------------PPM-664
Grapefruit still looking spectacular.
Lavender Jones looks rougher, but probably just from leaves drying out. Whatever the issues with her are, they haven't gotten worse. Used 1/2 nutes as above on her today. No lockout issue. I just think that she's a bit of a suck.........lol
Run-off after watering today:
Grapefruit--------PH.-6.55---------PPM-------800
Lavender Jones--PH.-6.41----------PPM------534
Looks like the Lavender Jones will be the first to chop. Maturing much quicker.
The Grapefruit continues to look awesome..........the Lavender Jones...meh!!
Runoff:
Lavender Jones------------PH.-6.81------------PPM.-510 (flushed a couple of weeks ago before the last nutes.)
Grapefruit------------------PH.-6.70------------PPM.-840.
Grapefruit still looking excellent. Quite some time left.
Hit with overdrive and cal/mag this week. Not showing any signs of lockout or under feeding, so just going into cruise control with these two products.
Flushed the Lavender Jones today. She is turning fast, and won't be long before harvest. Trichs still probably 50/50 clear/cloudy with no amber just yet.
Just couldn't get to the bottom of whether I was locking out nutes with the Lav. Jones, or if it was a lack of Cal/Mag considering I was using RO water. I did use plenty of it. The Grapefruit is very healthy............never has the PH or runoff PH taken off too far one way or the other.
Just the Grapefruit left and she is absolutely a beauty..........no leaf issues. She has filled out awesomely. Probably about a week or two away.
Hitting with 5.95 nutes @ 500 ppm
Runoff was 6.40 PH and 778 ppm
Next watering am going to crank back the ppm's and possibly flush.
I was wondering if somebody could give me an opinion. I've added a pic of the triches on the Grapefruit. For the most part they are cloudy with no amber. The pistils are about 95% brown. Should I wait a bit longer?
Hi there!
I would definitely wait about 10 days, pistils usually are no safe sign of ripeness.
When there are some amber trichomes you’re plant is ready for harvest✌️
Grapefruit looking real good. I'm a relatively new grower, so am very appreciative the time a few took to answer my question. I'm decreasing to just a very minute shot of Overdrive to finish............hopefully should be chopping in 7-10 days..............just waiting on a small bit of amber..........(not a real crazy body high kind of guy)
Great, tough, and what I think will be a decent yielding strain.😊.....................they are from Original Kush Seeds, bought at the Pacific Seed Bank.
The Grapefruit was a really good, healthy grow. Looking forward to see what the dry weight will be. The yield should be exceptional. I will update when I get it weighed.
Update Jan.04-----------Dry weight 4.33 oz............really happy with the result.
@heizen, would you mind having a peak at my question. I just added a pic in this same week. As this is a week later, which I will update tomorrow, (The pistils are pretty much all brown now) I'm just wondering if I should chop.............thanks.
