I would like to welcome the Frozen Diesel to the party! This girl is a cross of sour sorbet (sour diesel x sorbet) from DNA and of course the frosty sugar cane pheno aka cane sugar. These are both really potent flavorful strains on their own so I expect some nice terps on this one. I am growing this one in some dirt from my front yard mixed with about 30% perlite. Baked the soil in the oven to kill any bugs that may be in it. She will be watered with hydroponic runoff for now and probably transplanted in a few weeks. Going to keep it pretty simple on this one.
Been away from the plants for a couple days but I returned to a lot of dense growth. Removed a couple leaves and spread them out a little. Will be switching to flower soon.
I received my new ts1000 light from Mars Hydro today and it is a really nice light. After seeing the impressive numbers this light put out on the migro test I had to try it. She will be hooked up in the mars tent soon.
Everything is going smooth. Starting to see some stretching. I have removed a few leaves on the top to help get light deeper into the plants. I am going to start them on some maxibloom when they start popping pistils.
Not going to go into much detail on the individual plants this week since there is nothing exciting to report. Only note this week is something we all pretty much know already. Organics and hydroponics dont play well together! I was using gringo Rasta calmag and it clogged all my feed lines. I ordered some calimagic so this wont be an issue anymore. Everyone is growing well and stretching quite a bit. I started spreading a couple of them into the scrog and gave them some maxibloom. I will increase it as I lower the maxigro over the next couple weeks. Pretty boring right now, but stick around a few weeks and that might change.
This one is the slowest to progress into flower so far, but she is transitioning and stretching pretty good. I have them on half bloom and half grow now. Will probably cut out the maxigro in about a week and start them in a pinch if flower boosters. Other than that everything is running smooth.
All the plants are building buds. Gave them a little beastie bloomz. I cut them off the maxigro today since the leaf tips are burning. Other than that everything is going smooth.
The frozen diesel was really slow to transition to flower, but shes moving along now. Gave the girls a flush and a complete water change this week. That was only the second water change they have had this grow. I have just been letting them drink the reservoir almost empty and then filling it up with fresh nutes. The 5 plants are drinking about 4 gallons a day combined. Been running AC when the lights are on and the dehumidifier 24 hours a day. All of the plants are showing some decent trichome production. Running 1/2 tsp maxibloom and 1/8 tsp beastie bloomz per gallon every time I add water. Seems to be keeping everyone happy.
Amazing the difference a week can make on some of these plants. She beautiful and getting gassy already. Lowered the temp to 72. Juice is still pumping
Frozen? Yup
Diesel? Smells like it
I'm liking the plump snow covered buds on this plant. A bonus that there are a lot of them! Looking like we might take a trip to pound town....wait not like that👹 but shes going to put off some weight. Shes got some time to go
Shes big
Shes beautiful
Shes a beast!
Shes my winner. The last plant standing of this run and she is getting flushed with ro water. I have taken late flower clones of this girl because it would be inhumane to let her die. I will reveg them if they root and dose one with silver to make a lot of beans. Beaming her with 720 watts of light her last week of life just because I can.
Ps. If she dont win diary of the month then its rigged🤣🤣
@Fruitgrower, Hijacking comment😅. Not dangerous, especially with some precautions. I use a 220 watt "heatBud" by HoneyWell and keep it on the middle setting (170W). It's just important to make sure the heater has fail safes, like a depressed button on the bottom. If it tips/falls, it will automatically shut off👍. Also look for built in integral overloads that will also shut down the heater if it is working/drawing too much power. Throwing the heater on a thick glass or ceramic plate will keep it from damaging the floor area or concentrating too much heat in one spot. (I talk a lot, as per usual). I also put this heater on a WiFi Plug/Heating sensor set to turn on 5 min after lights out and off, 5 minutes before lights on. This way it's never really over working...and if it does, the integral overload will stop it from frying itself. In such a small space (4x4x7 for me) this little heater takes very little time to reach it's mark and the Inline sensor will cut it's power when she get's there. Plug doesn't have to be WiFi, but it's helpful to see it and override a program if ever you need (RH spike, Heat Spike, etc...). Cheers!
@Fruitgrower, my ac has a built in heat pump so it will heat also. But I have run a small heater in my room. Just make sure it has enough room so it doesnt burn anything
@AlpineGoat, because the plant was in a dutch bucket and I dont have a setup to breed in Dutch buckets. I usually pollinate in a different room than my main grow
