In the soil directly on Oct 31, up ny the end of the day on the 3rd of oct. Struggled to get the seed shell off so I gave it a little help, probably the low humidity.
Still smaller than my other auto, but the stem went purple right away. Not sure if that's the temps or strain, but there's a good chance this is a purple pheno.
Switched over to a 20 hour light schedule near the end of the week.
Also did a topsoil feeding with some worm castings and Gaia Green 4-4-4 since I started with about 1/2 the recommended amount in the medium (1.5 spoons vs the 3 recommended per gallon).
I was bumping the light up a little every day and it's at about 65% right now. I've also slowly risen the light at the same time, trying to keep about 22-24" from the plants range.
Will hopefully start some LST within the next week, but it might be two.
She stretched, but not a lot. I tried some LST, and came back to find her leaning instead of bending. Works just the same, but I was hoping for a larger canopy to flower.
Speaking of flower, I can't deny that's where we're at.
I top-fed early in the week with some worm castings and 4-4-4 at half strength, and later in the week with some gaia green mixed rock dusts, seaweed extract, rock phosphate and the 2-8-4, again at half strength.
I've been bumping the light's intensity up, at about 85% on the SF 2000.
Just water this week, 6.5 ph as usual.
The other auto in the tent got chopped as it was showing signs of being a hermie, so now the Purple Auto has the full light to itself.
I'm hoping it just packs on weight for the next several weeks, as the other plant as healthy as it was, didn't seem to penetrate the full depth of the 7 gallon pot, so I doubt this one has yet either. There should be lots of room to grow more roots during flower.
Just PH 6.5 water. Did more of a soak than usual, and let it thoroughly dry out.
I don't think I was aggressive enough with early watering, and I want to be sure the roots take over the full 7g before the end of flower, hopefully showing a lot of weight before harvest.
Feedback appreciated
6.5 ph is all I did this week. Looks like some fade but I don't have everything I need to deal with it yet.
It went from no smell to a disturbingly, offensively pungent aroma that lasted only a day or two, before some lemon started coming through.
Since there was some fade, this is around the time I topfed. Used about 70 / 30 ratio of the 2-8-4 bloom and 4-4-4 general purpose Gaia Green, along with a mix of a bunch of their other ingredients suitable for flowering. This includes some dust blend, mineralized and rock phosphate, bone meal, green sand, and some kelp meal.
The goal is to find a blend that will allow me to keep away from defficiencies without using a bottle of cal-mag.
She's getting close. The 60 to 70 day window is closing, but I'm still seeing a lot of new flowers daily. The older growth is almost ripe, but the new growth is under ripe.
Just feeding 6.5 water, rarely ever run-off. Have been doing some deep waterings, and it's obvious that the roots still aren't taking advantage of that full 7g.
Still flowering, she's overdue and the flowers are looking more and more ripe. The smell isn't bad until she's disturbed, then it's pungent and mouth watering.
