Here we go! lets get this grow finally started! These clones have come from two plants that were germ'd on feb 19th 2020 so 8 months before I was able to get around to doing anything with them! haha Dont need to waste time talking about how much COVID has messed with everyone but ya, growing was on the back burner for a while. Now its time!
10 Cuttings have been placed but one looks kinda questionable so im sure it will be 9 which is a good number I feel to fill out my 4x4 veg and 5x5 flower space. Growing in both sides with the Growers Choice ROI-E680 and ive loved it so far. Enviroment has been pretty easy to keep in check and food and nutrients has been easy as alwasys with Gaia green slow release ammendments paired with worm castings for the soil and Growth Science Organic liquid additives in the water.
Just starting to have some issues with thrips. Had a grow last year at same point last year and had a wave of them come through. Just took some diatomaceous earth and yellow stickeys to deal with the issue. Growth is going good other wise and dont seem to mind there new neighbors.
Finishing off week 7 here and things are going decent. Had a issue with thrips for last 2 weeks and have been super busy to hit it head on but ive managed to get some diatomaceous earth on top soil and lots of yellow sticky traps which seems to be doing the trick. A note on diatomaceous earth though, I bought some farm grade stuff which was cheaper than the usual Gaia green ive used in the past and ill say it wasnt near as good. This stuff is more like kitty litter where the bugs have no problem hoping over everything where as the Gaia blend is more like baking flour. You can literally see the bugs struggle crawling throgh the Gaia blend, worth the extra bucks in my opion. Either way yellow stickeys for the win. The thrips seem to be especially bad in the okanogan at this time of the year heading into fall. 3 Weeks or less left in my flower tent where these clones origanally came from. Once they are chopped down I will be moving over. This weekend im working on prepping the 5 Gallon pots with soil to transplant these 1.5 Gal units into. I put up a picture of where I'm at in the flower tent across the hall, just waiting to finish those 2 plants where this grow was birthed from, Cookies on the left, ASD on the right. Enjoy!
This week not much happening! Bugs are at bay and ive realized they are fungus gnats not thrips. Took my cuts for next round. Should be putting these into flower in 2 weeks or less.
