Starting this week off with some Fox Farm nutes and then later on this week we will be adding Terpinator as well as upping our dosage of Cal-Mag Plus. As my other plant was harvested today, these ladies moved directly under the SF2000. I've never ran a plant through veg under this light before so I have it 32 inches away from the canopy and have the light dimmed to roughly 75%(according to the dial).
Both of my plants seem to be kinda lacking iron, as new growth is coming in yellow, but I'm hoping with Big Bloom and Grow Big added today and the slight uppage of Cal-Mag Plus coupled with me adding 5TBS of powdered dolomite lime in my soil mix when I make the pots, these ladies will recover in no time. Normally during flower I have no issues, but with the plants being so young and not yet fully established I think it's a bit of a learning curve. Since I'm use to vegging under a blurple but with the space in the tent right now, why not veg under this lovely light?
Another note is my humidity has been around 30 percent in the tent on account of having to turn the furnace back on again. I've added a humidifier and would like to shoot for 60 percent humidity now that I dont have any plants flowering in the perpetual setup at the moment. Once I have some in flowering however, I'd like to keep that as close to 50-55 as possible. Normally I'd have 6 plants total but with my harvests being extra long last cycle it threw my harvest every 30 days cycle off...currently waiting on some very stubborn GSC seeds to pop their pellets.
Day 25 Update: Started off with some LST and had to raise the lights back to 32" as the canopy as of today was at 30". The power is still reduced to 75% on the SF-2000. Plant #2 doesnt seem to be affected too much or any at all by being under the light. While Plant #1 is suffering still from iron deficiency, and also noticing today, with the cupping of leaves and some brown rusting spots (super tiny) that all around I'm a little shy on ca,mg,and iron. This dosing we bump Cal-Mag Plus to 2ml/gal and continue to run it up until a few weeks before flush. We also added in Terpinator as I've always seen it increase resin output and smell.
Day 28 Update: Minor LST adjustments to Plant #1. Bumped up the light to 85% from 75%, now that we are in the preflowering stretching phase. Had to readjust light to 32". I believe Plant #1 is slowly recovering, but I'm not cranking the light up anymore until I know she's at least 90% healed.
Day 29 Update: Watered both plants with a 1/2gal until runoff. Water was dosed with 3/4tsp of Big Bloom and 3/4tsp of Grow Big. Defoliated Plant #2's lower bud sites that were too close to the ground, as she didnt stretch much. Plant #1 looks a little bit happier today.
Day 33 Update: Watered each plant with 3/4gal until runoff. Water was dosed with Terpinator at 10ml/gal and Cal-Mag Plus at 2ml/gal. Defoliated lower bud sites on both plants. Plant #1 was given a hair extra Cal-Mag Plus, but overall her new growth is coming in healthier, even if the plant as a whole looks bad. She will still be a producer! These seem to be different than the previous two genos I grew; time and size wise. Lights are now back to 100% power and the light is sitting over the canopy at 28"(was at 32" start of week).
#2 is a dime piece can't say the same about her ugly duckling sister #1 🤷♂️😅🤣🤭
Day 37 Update: Watered each plant with 3/4gal until runoff. Water was dosed with 3/4tsp of Big Bloom, 1/2tsp of Grow Big, and 1/8tsp of Tiger Bloom. Defoliated lower bud sites on Plant #2. Also removed LST time downs from Plant #1 and placed 2 stakes in their place.
Day 42 Update: Watered each plant with 3/4gap until runoff. Water was dosed with Terpinator at 10ml/gal and Cal-Mag Plus at 2ml/gal.
Day 43 Update: Well I'd say we're running very well through flowering. Unfortunately I feel like I messed the pH of Plant #1 as she really just looks lack luster compared to #2. Like I've said before I'm not trying to win any beauty prizes, just trying to get some medicine for myself, and I believe Plant #1 will provide me with adequate and killer smoke. Also with the new lights, it makes pictures easier...but the plants farther back in the tent still come out a yellow color 🙃No worries though Plant #2 is super healthy and is a healthy green color. I love this hobby!
Day 46 Update: Watered plants with 3/4gal until runoff. Water was dosed with 3/4tsp of Big Bloom, 1/2tsp of Grow Big, and 1/8tsp of Tiger Bloom. Picked off a bunch of dead leaves on Plant #1. I think I know why there was so many dead leaves on Plant #1...is because it already had issues to begin with and then the last watering, I let it go one day longer so both plants were extremely droopy. Plant #2 was affected as well, but she only has yellowing leaves in the middle of the canopy, but overall she's super healthy. Also Plant #1 looks like it is a little bit further along than Plant #2.
As stated last week the plant just looks yellow but I assure you it is a healthy green. I'll try to get a video later on this week. Maybe start doing videos towards the beginning of flower instead of pictures?
Day 50 Update: Watered both plants with 3/4gal until runoff. Water was dosed with Terpinator at 15ml/gal.
Day 53 Update: Adjusted light to 24" was around 26" above plants.
Day 54 Update: Watered both plants with 3/4gal until runoff. Water was dosed with 3/4tsp of Big Bloom, 1/2tsp of Grow Big, and 1/4tsp of Tiger Bloom.
Day 58 Update: Watered both plants with 3/4gal until runoff. Water was dosed with Terpinator at 15ml/gal. I will start the flush on Plant #1 next watering. Added a stake and a plant yoyo to Plant #2 to support the heavier branches.
Day 62 Update: Starting flush on Plant #1. Watered both plants with almost a gallon until runoff. Plant #2's water was dosed with 3/4tsp of Big Bloom, 1/4tsp of Grow Big, and 1/4tsp of Tiger Bloom. Plant #1's water is just plain pH balanced water. I will start watering every 3 days now. I will start the flush on Plant #2 after one more nutrient watering.
Day 65 Update: Watered both plants with almost a gallon until runoff. Plant #2's water was dosed with Terpinator at 25ml/gal. 11 days left of flushing on Plant #1. This will be Plant #2's last nutrient watering, as she will start the flushing process next watering. Also added two yoyo hangers and two stakes to Plant #2 as her branches are getting heavy (not complaining 🤷♂️)
Day 68 Update: Starting flush on Plant #2 today. Plant #1 has 8 days left of flushing. Watered both plants with almost a gallon of pH balanced water until runoff.
Day 71 Update: Watered both plants with almost a gallon until runoff. Water was just plain pH balanced water. Plant #1 has 5 days left on flush and Plant #2 has 11 days left on flush. Although with my tent filling up, I will probably harvest Plant #1 tomorrow as I don't think 4 days of being in there will make a difference in the end product.
Day 72 Update: Harvested Plant #1 today. Plant #2 has 10 days left on flush.
Day 74 Update: Watered plant with 3/4gal of pH balanced water until runoff. Plant #2 has 8 days left on flush. Also, added another stake to help support a heavier branch.
Day 76 Update: Placed buds from Plant #1 in jars to start curing...maybe a little bit too long drying, but if that's the case I'll toss a boveda pack in. Plant #1's yield was 57.2g or 2oz 1.2g. Plant #2 will be harvested sometime next week and I will update the harvest page as soon as buds are dried and weighed.
Day 78 Update: Start of week 12! Watered plant with almost a gallon of pH balanced water until runoff. 4 days left of flushing on Plant #2. Going to play it day by day till harvest, depending on how this week's plans unfold.
Day 82 Update: Harvesting Plant #2 today. I will update the harvest part of the diary once I place these buds in jars. See you in a few days!
