Hello everyone. After too long of an absence, we are finally back for another round. This time we don't make any mistakes and we start with the basics and that is starting with the right seed from a reliable breeder. And this time our eye fell on a reserva line strain man bear alien pig from Mephisto genetics. We have been growing mainly mephisto for a few rounds now and it must be said the quality of the plants is phenomenal. The difference with other breeders is overwhelming. Anyway, let me show you ... Follow along with the grow of MBAP!
First some basic info.

The primal way of organic growing is based on the use of compost. Based on compost a number of organic strategies have been developed. BioTabs is an organic fertiliser, using the force of soil organisms. BioTabs stimulates soil organisms by converting organic material into ideal plant food. In this way, plants develop strong root systems and are disease-resistant. BioTabs guarantees a fair, full and very tasty harvest. We're using this round following products
Bio tabs 3x pp
Startrex
Microtrex
Orgatrex
Bactrex

Soil:
------
Light Mix is a lightly fertilized soil. This lightly fertilized soil is ideal for the cultivation of autoflower cannabis. The BioBizz light mix ensures (through the open structure of the substrate) that the roots quickly and vigorously develop which leads to a better end product.

Project introduction and Overview:
----------------------------------------
ManBearAlienPig. MBAP to her friends. A legend of a strain and just the The Rock, FINALLY, MBAP is back in our catalogue. Originally release as Illuminauto #26, MBAP has long had a glowing reputation, and it hasn't been hard to figure out why. One of our top three most requested strains ever, extinct or not, adding back in to the lineup at the very first opportunity was a no-brainer.
Strain behavior and structure:
We've loved our grows of MBAP through the years; her potential for size in good conditions, even with just some light LST has convinced us she has TigerBlood and AdonisDNA, baby! She can grow as wide as she does tall, so will need to be given room to spread. A strong start is key to this strain, and balancing out nutrient levels once the feeds begin is essential. She can be finicky with nutes at the start, so make sure to read her well and give her a little love in all the right places.

Week 2
---------
After a less good start than usual in week 1, due to low humidity. It recovered strongly at the start of week 2. The humidifier is running at full speed and, despite the extremely low humidity outside, it can still raise the humidity to the end of 50%. Still far from the 70% we'd like, but an improvement from last week. We started with a little leaf tucking where possible. I will post an update towards the end of next week. Stay tuned
-----------------
Update week 2
-----------------
And what a change from the start of the week! Stabilizing the humidity around 70% has worked wonders. She really exploded in from the 2nd part of the week. Extensively done leaftuckig and then you see immediately. A good number of shoots have already worked their way up. And more are on the way. You can see her developing her true potential. In conclusion, very satisfied with the recovery this week, after the somewhat lesser start. On to next week!
---------------
Start week 3
--------------
We started week 3 as we ended week 2, which is great. She continues strongly at the beginning of this week and seems almost unstoppable. She clearly enjoys her surroundings and looks very healthy. She has started preflowering and seems to be gearing up for another explosion in growth. She is very good at leaftucking and has already developed a good number of shoots. On to more! A new update at the end of this week.
-----------------
Update Week 3:
-----------------
End of another fantastic week for MBAP. This week was all about pre-flowering and you can see that she is preparing for an explosive bloom. She has benefited enormously from the LST that I applied and has a good number of shoots ready to explode during flowering. In addition to leaftucking, have also removed the lower shoots so that she can concentrate her energy on the upper shoots. I also did the biotabs in the ground in the middle of the week. We have opted for 3 biotabs in 20-25l soil. Have waited several weeks before putting the tabs in the ground because we work here with aitoflowers. And they prefer a light feeding regiment for the first few weeks. We are going to gradually lower the humidity and get ready for flowering and week 4! Until next update
-----------------------
Update start week 4:
-----------------------
We entered the first week of bloom for MBAP. Have had a perfect run-up and you notice that. She is ready to bloom abundantly. Besides the usual leaftucking, I also did some defoliation of the lower leaves and shoots. I have reduced the humidity in the room and we are now around 60%. New update later this week!
--------------
End week 4 :
--------------
End of the first week of flowering behind us. Everything is going well, good growth and budsites continue to develop. I further removed the lower shoots and did some leaftucking where necessary. She has developed into a beautiful, large and open plant. Ideal for her future bud development. On to the 2nd week of flowering. Until next week everyone!
-----------
Week 5:
----------
Beginning of the 2nd week of flowering. I have noticed that the 3 biotabs that went into the ground last week, released just a little too much fertilizer in these early days of flowering. You can see that there is slight discoloration in her leaves. We go from the darker green to the lighter lime green, which indicates that she is getting just a little too much P. I fear this will probably continue for the next few weeks. Fortunately, she has a good start and basis and this will not have too many negative effects. Pushing her a little bit doesn't hurt either. Although I think I might consider using only 2 biotabs in 25l soil in the next round. First, let's wait and see how this evolves. Furthermore, of course nothing to complain. Nice further development of her budsites and she also has 2 main branches fighting for dominance. . Unwards to the second week of bloom.
Until next week!
-----------
Week 6:
-----------
Start of the 2nd week of real flowering. The slight discoloration of the lower leaves continues. Not the biggest problem in itself, but would have liked to see it differently. Her general health is good, but next time I will opt to use a biotab less. 2 pieces seem more than enough. That is why I waited an extra 10 days to give her the one-off treatment of bactrex and orgatrex. It is a solution of 1gr bactrex and 20ml orgatrex in 500ml water to boost bacterial life. She has just received this and she will only get this once. We also set up the dehumidifier to keep the humidity around 50-55%. And we have now also switched on the digital lumatek boost, for maximum light intensity. Since we also don't work with a scrog net (which we really have to consider next time), I already had to tie her in a few places to make sure her shoots do not fall over. But this is a positive 'problem'. Until next update!
-------------
Week 7
-------------
3rd week of flowering and it has completely burst loose :) Have already supported her in various places and this already early in flowering. Which we can only applaud. In fact, I think we may have a polyploid plant. Polyploid cannabis is a chromosome-related variation of normal cannabis. It offers the possibility of heavier harvests and stronger effects. You can see this on the 'twin tower' branch as I call it. Where the main bud splits into more buds. Although it could just as well be something else that causes this, although I don't immediately know what. Anyway, more than satisfied with the past week and if you know that the strongest fruit set takes place in the last few weeks, maybewe can expect a very excellent yield.ut let's be careful and wait, until next week!
