I am resurrecting the gutter hoe grow show! This will be the etHOS edition. We got a purple sunset, crescendo, ethos cookies, and last but not least the big Detroit energy. Some of these are like rbx v and r and all that. Supposed to be the good shit! This will be my first ethos run. A huge thanks to @visions for hooking up the genetics. Seeds were soaked in distilled water and all 4 popped in about 24 hours. They were planted in rockwool cubes that had been soaked overnight in ph 6 water to stabilize the ph. 2 days later I can see them emerging from the rockwool. Ready to grow! These will be grown in a high tech new age nft style system. Well....its real just a gutter that is lined with gravel on the bottom and filled with perlite. I will run a feed tube to one end and the other end will drain into the reservoir. Nutes will be recirculated 24 hours a day. Will post a little more info on that on week 1 if these girls live to see it.

Day 3 for the gutter hoes and they are in the system. I am using a 4 ft section of gutter with caps on both ends. The bottom is lined wit about half an inch of pea gravel for better drainage. Then filled with perlite. A feed line will pump nutrients to the end of the gutter that is elevated about an inch. The nutrients drain back to the reservoir and will be circulated 24 hours a day. This alleviates the need for an air pump since the return water oxygenates the 4 gallon reservoir. Just a cheap nft style setup I guess you would call it.

Got the girls under the new xs2000 from viparspectra. I really love the style of this light! Check out their black friday sale here. https://www.viparspectra.com/collections/xs-series Day 14 for the gutter hoe grow show. The color was looking a little light so I upped the maxigro to .5 tsp and gave them a little calmag. The biggest challenge this week was not topping the plants. Letting them grow without topping isn't my style. I chose not to because these girls are going to be competing for light and space with some monsters soon. I will probably have to lift them up to get them even with the bigger plants. I expect them to start flowering in a week or so since they are on 12 12 lighting.

These have been under the new XS2000 from viparspectra for about a week now. I really love the style of the XS series lights! Hard to beat the LM301B diodes. Check out their black friday deals here https://www.viparspectra.com/?aff=Wicked_Stix&utm_source=affiliate The gutter hoe grow show is going pretty smooth. It is very unusual to watch these plants grow without them being topped. They seem small compared to plants that I top, but they all look pretty healthy. I had an issue with the organic calmag clogging all of my feed lines. This is one of the reasons I usually avoid organics in hydroponics. The organic was all I could get locally so I tried it and it was a fail. I have calimagic on the way though so they will get a dose in a couple days. I see a few signs of mag deficiency but nothing to worry about yet. They have been on 12 12 lighting for over a week but not seeing signs of them maturing enough to flower. I think it will start happening before the end of next week.

The gutter hoe grow show powered by the VIPARSPECTRA XS2000 led is moving along. This ain't no side alley peep show! These girls might come from the gutter but they all have a shot of making it to the big stage. The side branches are starting to grow out and the pistils are starting to pop. The purple sunset roots are growing out of the drain. I'm sure most of these will prune themselves as the light gets to them. The crescendo is showing some signs of calcium deficiency after the organic calmag issue last week but I gave them some calimagic so I think she will stay happy now. I am really liking to simplicity of the gutter setup. I might be running a 3 row gutter setup next round if everything continues to run as smooth as it is. The show must go on!

The ethos put on a lot of stretch this week. The viparspectra xs2000 is doing a great job. Running cool and keeping the plants happy. Everyone is popping pistils. Excited to see what kind of variety comes out of this gutter!

The gutter hoe grow show powered by the viparspectra XS2000 is moving along. A couple of the plants started showing some nitrogen deficiency early in the week after the water change so I gave them a little maxigro. I'm not sure if the roots are running out of room or what is going on but the nutrient does aren't as efficient in this gutter compared to the dutch buckets. I suprecropped the crescendo to keep it even with the other plants. The cookies has strange looking buds on top. Not many pistils popping on it. Other than that the show will go on.....

The gutter hoe grow show powered by the viparspectra xs2000 is making progress. The buds are stacking up fat on these girls. Cant wait to see what they do when it's time to ripen up.

The gutter hoe grow show powered by the viparspectra XS2000 is still in action. The plants are showing that they aren't completely happy with the limited root space they have but they are growing some buds. Crescendo is definitely the most trich coated of the bunch. The big detroit energy is producing some big fat buds. Lowered the temp to 72. Other than that the juice will keep pumping and the lights will keep beaming.

Crescendo is super frosty. Cookies is swelling up. Purple sunset is starting to swell. Big detroit energy doesnt seem to be doing much at the moment. I pollinated the single calyx that popped up on the big detroit leaf. Has a single seed in it. Just going to keep the juice flowing until they are ready.

As you can see the xs2000 from viparspectra builds some fat dense buds. They are full of plump milky trichomes. They are being flushed with ro water and will get chopped soon.
