Late journal, but journal none the less.
Royal Gorilla Auto from RQS. Overall they did very well. Just harvested these two tonight. Started with three but one had some extreme burning on ALL of her leaves and I decided to ditch her. Mistakes were made and I’m sure that the overall yield was impacted greatly.
They weighed in at 168g wet for the tall lady.
And 145g wet for the short chunky one.
Total of 313g. I’d say that’s a good take for never growing before, losing one, and the learning curve.
I’ll post a harvest update after they are dried and a final weigh is done.
There is one picture to check out. The sugar leaves are a little “taco’d” and super white. I checked with my loupe and there’s a ton of triches on them but it seems weird. Has anyone seen this before or know what caused it??
I’ve been reading about a ton of diff techniques to increase yield and potency. So I decided to try splitting the stem. Sure it’s risky, yes it’s an auto flower, but in 3 days they probably doubled in trichomes. I’m pretty sure it won’t have much of an effect, but they just look so much better. And after all the stress I put them through learning, why not push it to the max?
Thanks for checking out my grow! Any advice is always appreciated!
These chicks are tough! I did just about everything a first time grower shouldn’t do! Skipped LST and went straight to the heavy stuff, massive amounts of defoliation, topping, even splitting the stem! Nitrogen toxicity, and cal/mag deficiency, they handled everything I threw at them and they turned out magnificent! Thanks RQS for such a hardy strain! She looks great and tastes even better!
These two girls had a hell of a run! This was my first ever grow, and did they teach me a lot! And even after everything I put them through they still put out a good 2.5oz for me! I’ll definitely be growing this again!
