NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test run 25th October 2020 Okay so firstly this is just a test run of some seeds from a previous autoflowering plant that was unintentially pollinated from more than likely one of my feminised pollen projects. 😐 Not the most ideal way of pollen chucking I know but when I found the seeds I could tell from the look of them that I just had to give them a try. 😀 Every single seed looks almost Identical to one another , they are all a nice size with a dark colour and prominant striping which hopefully a sign of good genetic potential. 😎 Now for a bit of info regarding the mother plant . She was an interesting Autoflowering cross between Northern lights #5 and Malawi from ACE Seeds . It grew really sativa like flowers that although were fairly airy and lightweight , produced masses of them. The smoke was really sativa like too with a fresh minty/pine like flavour and racy head high. 👌 So at some stage it must have recieved some of the pollen from one of the feminised pollen donor projects I had running at about that time. Looking back It probably comes down to either Red Diesel from Barneys Farm or Peyote WiFi from Seedsman seeds. 😏 My goal now is to grow them out but firstly I will need acertain whether any of them carried the autoflowering genetics by keeping them on a 13 hours + light cycle for the first 6-8 weeks of their life. If any of them commence to flower during that time It will definately carry the autoflowering genetics so those can be seperated from the others for potential on breeding. Any plant that is obviously still in veg after the 6-8 week period will be physically inspected for desired characteristics 👉 Overall Health and Vigor 👉 Plant shape and internodal spacing 👉 Interesting or strong smelling stem smell when rubbed I will then more than likely pick a couple that I like the best and flower them indoors on a 12/12 cycle. 👉So I have 10 little seedlings that have come up so that was a 100% germination rate Not a bad start 👍 I also have an anomaly plant. Apparenty VERY RARE 😦 Now I have heard of triploids but this has 4 cotyledons and 4 true leaves 😎 Pretty cool hey!! 👈 All can i do is just let them all do their thing now and will see ya next week for another update. Cheers for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 1st November 2020 Okay so the Ten little plants are now just 5 as I was forced to pick the best looking ones to be transplanted into seperate containers , I couldn't keep all ten because it would be far too many plants to have lying around doing not a lot other than providing me with something to play around with. 😎 The five I chose include the Triploid plant that is still growing really nicely and still looks Weird aswell 😁 Yesterday I gave each little plant a half strength feed of some Organic grow fast from the Professors nutrient company. They'll also each get some worm tea and Great white mycorrhizae within the next cpl of days. 💪 The weather here is really warming up now and it's still spring so I'm hopeful these five babies can get some growth done in the coming weeks. Thanks as usual for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 8th November 2020 Hey there 😀 So it's now three weeks since seed pop and the 5 plants I kept are all still ticking along at a moderate pace. The Triploid (plant 5 in the above pics) is the smallest of the five and may end up being the first to be culled if I can't find any reason to keep it. Once the 5 weeks of veg time has passed I will be able to ascertain whether they are likely to have any autoflowering traits. If they all end up being photo period dependent like I think they will I plan to further cull them down to just two plants as I do not have the room for 5 plants that wouldn't start to flower until next year!! I have topped each plant at the 5th node to keep the height down and will keep feeding as needed until the end of the 5 weeks. If by some miracle they are auto's then I'll keep them all but I can't see that happening lol. That is all I have for this weeks update Cheers for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 15th November 2020 I'm starting to lose patience with these plants............ Especially the triploid as it's a real runt of a thing that does not look like it will come to much. The other two aren't too bad and are developing new leaves from the sites where I topped it. I may end up pulling the triploid and continuing on with just the two I just know how I'll let this one pan out???? Got some Very hot weather forecast this week so will need to protect them from that with some shade and extra watering. if they were to have any auto flowering traits now would be about the time they would start to show it via preflowers so I'll keep an eye out for that too but I do not think they will flower automatically. Thats it for this weeks update , cheers for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 26th November 2020 These two have survived the heat here so far but will be tested once again as Ive been called away yet again. I honestly thought about just pulling them up but I'll leave them and just hope they are still alive when I get back. Cheers for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test run 3rd December 2020 Hi all I have moved the larger of the two plants into a raised garden bed that is filled with soil , manure and mulch. The other plant is still in the original container but will also be moved , not into the garden bed but into a larger pot. Considering I lost all of the Malawi landrace plants I'll keep both of these in hope of a little Taste of Africa 😁 Thanks for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test run 14th January 2021 Went to take pics today and apon closer inspection I saw the most horrible thing a grower can see...... Fucking balls on a female plant AKA Hermie Town 😖 Theres no way I was leaving it in the ground to ruin the rest of my grow so it goy yanked up immediately. What a damn shame it had really taken off and had the potential to provide a good yield. Oh well back to the drawing board , these genetics will be given a miss and I will move onto something else. Cheers to all who followed along and checked out my updates . The End 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 10th December 2020 Now I'm down to one plant 😬 Nevermind it's got a nice sativa look to it so it may have some Malawi influences in it. 👍 The other plant got badly burnt from the sun so I pulled it up. Ironically the smaller one that was in the green bucket handled the full sunshine easily so it's now taken the place of the other plant in the raised garden bed. Once it starts to grow a bit I will start the training to keep it bushy and Tied down. 👊 👉Today 11th December I began the LST training by using wire to hold each branch down level with the ground. 👈 Thankyou for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 17th December 2020 This one is starting to get moving now and looks very Healthy and has a nice Green colouring. As each main branch grows I continue to keep them down at ground level so as to have a Flat Canopy. Nothing else to report this week so I will leave it at that . Cheers for stopping by 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 30th December 2020 This plant is really starting to move now and I'll have to keep on top of the training if I am to keep it as flat as possible. Will be feeding all of my Garden some Compost Tea and Mollasses Today which should help the soil remain biodynamic and Super Healthy 👌 That is all for this update , Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya Next Year 😁 👍

NL#5xMalawi x Unknown F1 Test Run 7th January 2021 She's really starting to fill out now Folks 😀 I topped all the nodes once again and tied the branches that had grown longer down again. We have some Extreme Summer conditions starting here from Tomorrow , Temps could reach 50 degrees celcius during the day. So I will be getting up each morning at 4 am to water everything in my garden before walking my new puppy and closing the house off to the light and heat for the day. Thanks once again for stopping by to check out my diary update 👍

Those garden beds are so good mate. Can’t believe how dear they are at Bunnings though!! I got one off gumtree for $30, just needed a clean up. I put my veges in. Atm planted sweet potatoes, spinach and garlic! I only just got told that you can plant a clove of garlic with the little tip bit facing up and yeah, they grow! Also nice marigold mate 👍🍻

Nice job on the training👊 Looks warm outside, woke up to -12c this morning, not really cold but making ice😀 Should be fishing the bigger lakes after Christmas sometime, I need at least a foot of hard water before I venture out to far. Luck from Canada!!

Looks like a green carpet there more then the sativia she is!! Love it, Ive shied away from growing sativias until fairly recent, I went with a 70% sativa 30% indica Caramelo rather then my usual indica heavy hybrids for once but cant bring myself to plant something that looks like a near full on REAL sativa like this girl. The malawi is an incredible strain but takes forever to finish so I hope yours didnt take 14 weeks in flower!!
