Watering is currently being done with a spray, using very little water, just to moisten the soil a bit, to also increase humidity during these stages of the plant's life As for their appearance these days, I must say it is spectacular, quite a generous yield, very balanced and even, for now, no differences between them, maybe one SAD with slightly serrated leaves. JANUARY 30 Well, as expected, one of the RED HOT COOKIES bent a little, I arrived a bit late and found it lying down.... So it was time to fill the pot a bit more with substrate, you can clearly see it, it’s the one that’s bent hahahaha A bit of soil, mash the soil a bit more and that solves the stretching issue... now they are all more buried, preparing for a bigger pot change in the coming weeks for optimal root mass development.... We are on January 30 For now, everything is in order on the front The girls are responding with great strength, they are already starting to show their second pair of leaves, and little by little we will see how they develop... They are all very beautiful and growing normally, We continue to apply only spray watering, just with water regulated to pH 5.9 and EC of 0.4, since our substrate and coco mix contains some fertilization, so for now we will continue with just water until the availability of that food for the plant runs out and it depends more on itself, at that moment we will start watering with nutrients. It's been 7 days already, today we are on day 14 since they were put in the soil. The week has gone very well, little by little more leaves are appearing on our little plants, and the first three-finger leaves have started to show. February 1st. On this seventh day since they were put in the soil, they show some vigor, some more than others, still with a fragile and sensitive stem. At this moment, the plants only have the first pair of leaves, and they are starting to show that second pair. I should mention that we are keeping the LED lights a bit low at 20%, maybe that's why they are stretching; it's not concerning, but I should increase the power a bit to let them stretch more. Overall good appearance, nice color of the leaves, none suffered any encapsulation caused by the seed coat not opening, all opened well and little by little they are starting to show that vigor, signs of good health. FEBRUARY 3RD Today was watering day, just 250 ml for all of them, pH 6.0 EC 0.4 It seems they are responding very well, little by little they are producing more leaves and new branches, At the moment I don't see much difference between them, everything is very even, they all show some vigor and are eager to grow and become beautiful and big. FEBRUARY 5TH Here they are on their 12th day since being put in these 7x7x8cm pots. I'm starting to think about their first transplant into slightly larger pots, maybe next week I'll make that change. In these days they are starting to form their first pair of three-finger leaves, all of them, some a bit faster and a bit taller like the RED HOT COOKIES which seem to be more eager to get ahead of their sisters. You can also see that a SWEET ZENZATION has slightly thicker leaves, a bit different from its sisters, although it's still a bit early it seems we are going to have different phenotypes within the same batch. I also saw that a RED HOT COOKIES had bent its fragile stem due to stretching, it couldn't support the weight....hahaha and ended up bending, so I fixed it and it's all good now, it looks less aesthetic but... solutions to problems, yay.... As you can see, they are all very even, there are hardly any differences at the moment between the same genetics. FEBRUARY 6TH This is how the queens are on day 13 since being put in the soil. Great water response, these queens have absorbed the water spectacularly. Growth is eager, they all show a great response to the change... we have increased the LED power, now set to 40%, let's hope the response is immediate and they pick up a good pace, It seems that one of the sweet zenzational is a bit stagnant compared to its sisters, let's hope that silliness passes soon and it starts growing like the others... FEBRUARY 7TH Now on their 14th day of life and eager to break out into the world, here are the girls from Margarita's sweet garden, who little by little are taking shape and eager to break out into the world, to produce beautiful flowers and delight us with a good palette of characteristic flavors from this highly appreciated bank by many and hated by few..... For now, the RED HOT COOKIES are taking the lead, growing large leaves and surpassing their sisters from the bank and cultivation... For now, we will only apply water until after the first transplant, from there we will start with a very low application of nutrients to gradually increase them. We're already in the third week of growth for these girls, more specifically, today is day 22 (within the fourth week). After 48 hours post-transplant, they're all taking off like rockets... These are 24 hours after the transplant, they apparently needed this step, as they were practically screaming for it, with slightly bent leaves and some signs that they were struggling. After the initial stress, 48 hours later they were showing this beauty. As you can see, these girls are really taking off; the transplant has done them a lot of good, and they're really thriving... The sweet zenzation. They're all progressing well and are very uniform, although the first one on the left (#1) is maybe a bit slower and has larger leaves than her sisters. She took a little longer to show her first pair of leaves, and maybe that's why her leaves are bigger, but the others are very similar in size, structure, and color, with leaves that are more green leaning towards a dark bluish hue, small leaves, and slightly serrated... The sad s1 (in the middle of the photo) I don't see any differences among them at the moment; they're all progressing very well, with a great plant structure, starting to show their 4th pair of leaves and beginning to show what will be their secondary branches, low stature, and very similar leaf structures, with a green color that's less bluish than their sisters, a bit lighter. The red hot cookies (in the photo, at first glance) These are doing just as well as their upstairs sisters, also very uniform among themselves, with wide leaves and low stature. They have a very similar green hue among them, so to speak, with a slightly lighter green tone. They are also starting to show their 4th/5th pair of leaves and beginning to form what will be their secondary branches. For now, it's too early to differentiate any differences among the same genetics; I just hope that the growth is normal and that we can see them in all their potential, so they can show their full range of colors. I hope that when we reach flowering, we can see what I have in mind: a very colorful garden, mixing those reddish tones of the red hot cookies with the blues of the sweet zenzation, and the nuclear white of the sad s1. The week has been of superior quality, these little ladies just won't stop growing and every day they look bigger, all of them about the same size and quite similar to each other, great structure and foliar development with quite a bit of abundance. As you can see, the overall development of the plants this week has been splendid, starting to show their 5th node, and developing what will be their secondary branches, all of them are going strong and eager to reach for the light.... These sweet zenzation have made a great push, here you can already see the first differences between strains, for example, #1 has larger leaves and a different structure compared to her sisters who all seem to be very even and without much difference between them. Showing great vigor, a sign that the roots are developing normally and appearing to ask for water more and more. Shorter and wider is the sad s1 (sweet afghani delicious), with great development and plant width, all very even and similar, serrated leaves and a bit more stocky, for now, there is no inequality between them, nor deficiencies, growing normally, starting to show their 6th node and a great appearance of secondary branches that will make these plants present many branching. Here are the red hot cookies, however, they seem more distinct from each other, we have #1 and #4 longer than their sisters and #2 and #3 shorter but with more branching, all of them at their 6 nodes and creating their secondary branches, these also with a slightly darker tone than the others, leaves of good size and appearance of great root development... Eljardindemargarita_grower 5TH WEEK GROWTH MARGARITA'S SWEET GARDEN. Hello, here we are another week for this grow, which seems to be going great. This week the growth has been on track, the girls are starting to ask for more water and more food. By the end of this week, we are preparing for the second and final transplant; from here, they won't be moving anymore. As I said, the girls have really stretched out, it's more noticeable in the varieties with a higher percentage of sativa, but the others, the sad s1, have tended to grow wider, showing indica dominance. Great size of plants, and most with very little internodal distance. I should mention that one of the red hot cookies, let's call her #4, has stretched a bit more, and I don't know why, especially since she's been under the LED the whole cycle. There are no big differences among these 4 sweet zenzation, all very similar, except for #1, which seems to be doing its own thing, and it looked that way from the beginning. Now it's taller, with very large leaves compared to its other sisters. Great leaf size and very bushy, with a very good structure. These sad s1, as expected, have me going crazy; I love their structure and development. The 4 are very similar in terms of size, branching, and structure, with nothing to highlight since I know it very well and the results they can produce. Personally, I love this strain. Short stature and very bushy, very very short internodal spacing and quite branched. Just a small downside, in #3 (the second from the left), and I don't know why, when the new leaves grow, there's a slight discoloration, more yellowish, but it resolves itself and isn't noticeable later. Something might have happened... I'll keep an eye on it to see if it's a symptom of something strange. These red hot cookies seem to be thirstier; every two days they are asking for water, and it seems like they want to drink more each time... I think they're going to get big... We have here two different shapes, the ones on the two ends, #1 and #4, tend to stretch and grow quite a bit more than the other two, with wider leaves compared to their sisters. Great leaf color and very good stature, #2 and #3, the two in the middle, seem to be very consistent with what their descendants look like... shorter and smaller stature, with great structure and quite good branching. Here I have the same issue as with the other sad s1, the red hot cookies #1 also tends to show slightly yellow tips, but it seems to resolve itself... just like the other one, I'm observing why and constantly checking the parameters... in case I miss something... Here we are back with another week of this follow-up, in this case, the 6th week, the first in their final home (11 liters) so they can thrive and get strong... hehehe In these 7 days, the plants have had to acclimate to their new pot, finding their space and settling into their new life. Apparently, they are doing quite well and have recovered from the transplant very quickly, with great green color and very good structure. I'm quite satisfied with their good start to life and then their growth... one more week and we change cycles... Great stature of these sweet zenzation, Uniform growth, all very similar, good size, big roots, which bode well for progress in the upcoming stages, except for #1, which seems a bit different, with more internodal distance than her sisters, who are more compact and stocky, with more branching than the aforementioned #1. I'm keeping #1 under observation since she doesn't resemble the other three at all. Pointed leaves and dark green color. Here are the sad s1. These are all very similar, low cut with lots of branching, many leaves of a green color, but less than the roommates, great structure and quite thick stem... a good sign since I haven't put in the supports yet and the fan movement is noticeable... Here we can also see that #3 has new leaves that come out with slightly yellow tips, but then, when new ones come out, they return to their normal color and I don't see any lasting marks... I don't know what it could be yet... but I hope I don't have to worry about it... since I see that in others too... and they all eat the same and everything, plus I rotate and move them... so I don't know what it could be... And this series is their last week that we will give since after this, we will change the cycle for these plants. In appearance, they are spectacular, having tremendous growth, with no apparent discoloration, except for these two that are yellowing at the tips; the others have a spectacular color, with large leaves that are already flooding the entire grow cabinet. Some have tended to stretch, two of them, I hope you can keep them in check... For now, they haven't been defoliated at all; next week, we will take the scissors to start cutting the lower branches... That said, this week we were due for some preventive measures... In this week leading up to the transition, we proceeded with the first advance regarding preventives... This time we used potassium soap, neem oil, plus an extra dose of aloe vera, mixed in half a liter of water... for a foliar application to these little plants that are behaving so well. Eljardindemargarita_grower WE SWITCHED TO 12/12 1ST WEEK OF FLOWERING MARGARITA'S SWEET GARDEN Hello. Here we are again for another week of this sweet grow, a real delight for our senses.. This is the first week since the photoperiod change.. we now have 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness... We started the flowering for these girls after 50 days of growth, during which they have grown with great vigor, creating a multitude of branches. With large, well-colored leaves, the size of the plants in this first week of flowering is about 40 cm on average for the RED HOT COOKIES, except for two of them that have reached 55 cm in this first week. As for the SWEET ZENZATION, they were around 35/40 cm, and the SWEET AFGANI DELICIOUS S1 will be around 30 cm in this very important week for them. Except for a couple of them, all have had spectacular growth, with great assimilation of the nutrients that have been gradually provided, considering that the substrate used this time had a good initial fertilization; these girls have absorbed it quite quickly, noticing after a few days that they were asking for food. INDOOR DATA TEMPERATURE 22/24 degrees on mode 16/19 off mode HUMIDITY regulated to 60% LED POWER 380w regulated to 75% LED DISTANCE 45 cm VPD VALUE 1.1/1.3 kpa on mode 0.7/0.8 kpa night mode This week we have increased the frequency of the extractors, letting them run at 75% of their total capacity to have more air renewal. We have also increased the frequency of operation, with the intractor now running every half hour to bring in fresh air (clean from outside) and extracting the stale air that stays inside the grow cabinet for 45 minutes every hour.. For next week, we will keep increasing the extractor, while leaving the intractor as is until we see how the temperatures react as the hot season arrives. I will also include a system in the grow area to better distribute that clean air from outside, using 40mm PVC pipes, elbows, and T-joints to better spread the air entering the grow area, which is currently situated with a spiral tube at the bottom of the cabinet. With this, we will achieve greater air intake and better distribution throughout the lower area of the grow, and hopefully, this will lead to better absorption and transpiration for these leaves for improved photosynthesis... WATERING ORGANIC LINE GROTEK This week we watered with a total of 10 liters of water, spread over three days. As I mentioned at the beginning of the grow, I have a reverse osmosis system at home, which I honestly recommend highly after seeing and testing it for several years in my grows. We know that this water contains no salts, meaning the EC of this water, and checking it daily, is 0.0, and the pH usually hovers around 6.5 and at most 7.0, so the adjustment on some days is minimal, just regulating the EC, most days I’m good.. When it comes to adjusting the pH of the water, now in this phase, the flowering phase, I use the specific pH regulator for the flowering stage. March 15 Day 1 of flowering Watering with 3 liters of water for all core 3 ml vital 3 ml micro power 3 ml growth max 3 ml root force 2 ml pH 6.1 EC 1.2 March 17 Watering with 3 liters of water pH 6.1 EC 0.4 March 20 Watering with 4 liters of water core 3 ml vital 3 ml micro power 3 ml growth max 3 ml root force 2 ml pH 6.2 EC 1.2 And this week it was time for pruning. Eljardindemargarita_grower 2ND WEEK OF FLOWERING MARGARITA'S SWEET GARDEN. Hey buddies, here we are another week in this grow, and we are already in the second week of flowering for these 12 girls... They are already showing the beginnings of flowers, producing a nice cluster, and you can almost appreciate all the potential they can give. Overall, the response has been very good, and the stretch is more than considerable, especially for two specimens of the Red Hot Cookies, which are far surpassing their genetic sisters. These two also display a tremendous color, red and purple, making it so that every time I enter the cabinet, my gaze goes straight to them... With more sativa dominance, they are much lankier than their other two sisters and have somewhat more spaced internodes... Good color on these Sweet Zenzation, very homogeneous among them, quite similar in shape, leaf color, short and stocky, with very short internodes; you can already see all the potential these have... However... there's always a but... We have a somewhat strange specimen in this garden... It's been concerning me for several weeks now as it seems a bit deformed and slower than its other genetic sisters. I don't know what phenotype it has thrown, but it's a bit strange, slow, and doing its own thing... huge leaves, long internodes, and somewhat strange formation... lamoñiii!!! We have it in our sights... it's a bit delayed, but this week it started to show its little flower... Then this week the Sad S1... are going as expected, great flower formation, very fragrant at this point, with very good branching and very close nodes, great color and leaf formation. A stocky plant, short with a very good stature, we have here, also a slight discoloration at the tips of the leaves, but only on the new leaves, which tend to disappear and regain their usual color, but with the tips somewhat burnt... This week we can see how many flowers have formed at the tips of these 12 girls, and how the two phenotypes of the beloved red hot cookies have started to bloom. The evolution this week has been incredibly fast; as the days go by, we see how the flowers are being created on these girls, who have quickly stretched to almost their final size. Great production of buds, which already hints at what the final yield of these plants will be. We can already say, regarding the 4 red hot cookies, that they have clearly marked their two phenotypes. We can appreciate the red phenotype, purple, a bit more sativa; I can see it with a more elongated plant profile, reaching almost a meter in height, with much more distance between nodes, and slightly longer leaves compared to their sisters in cultivation, with a somewhat darker leaf tone, even leaning towards being somewhat purple. However, their sisters, the green phenotype, look a bit shorter with wider leaves, flowers with green tones, unlike their sisters who already show purple flowers, more reserved and stocky, seeming to be a bit more indica. red hot cookies #4 (in my garden) already shows purple tones... Now let's talk about the sweet zenzation (in the garden, in the middle). Great plants are forming here; beautiful flowers are being created by these queens, apparently doing very well... hehehe. Long stretching makes this plant grow upwards in the cycle change, reaching 75 cm in height, somewhat more stable. So far, the buds are still fattening up and getting a bit bigger. Everything is flowing with very good harmony, they are starting to resin, so just imagine the smell coming from this cabinet. So far, no deficiencies, just like the whole grow, we've been very precise with the feedings since I wasn't very familiar with two of these genetics and didn't want to overdo it to avoid stress, so we've been following the manufacturer's guide closely, in fact, maybe even a bit below. The other one I knew, but to avoid preparing two nutrient mixes, we've treated them all the same, and at medium doses according to the manufacturer.... red hot cookies These girls are having a very good flowering, except for those branches that started to stretch, everything else seems fine.... Overall, the week was good, everything was going smoothly, abundant watering and good food, all very well regulated, so the plants have been appreciating all that food they’ve been absorbing... Great flower development, very aromatic all over the plant, lower branches with small flowers but already with very good resin formed. RED HOT COOKIES Here you can see the two phenotypes of this strain very well marked. On one side, the red one, with a large structure... big red stems and red flowers, very well defined, more distance between the nodes and very few leaves. While the green one is a shorter plant, with more branching, which translates into more branches where more fruit can develop, and with more abundant and wider leaves... And like, its color and aroma are a bit more incense-like... SWEET ZENZATION Of very good stature, they have behaved like queens, apparently stable genetics, all have been very similar in terms of growth and flowering, stable at all stages and very similar to each other. We are already in the 7th week of flowering for these beautiful girls, who have been more than pampered and have been on my mind 24/7 since they started to flush.... And this week has been all about observation, and from so much observing... we see... more formation of little balls... in the lower parts and to my surprise, I saw that some tips were already starting to form seeds... so they have been pollinated... So, on Monday, I gave them a big watering and I’m waiting until Sunday for the substrate to dry out before cutting them down for good... A week of disappointment... and seeing that all the work hasn’t yielded as I would have liked... Since in these weeks they could have given that last push of strength these strains... This 7th week ended on May 2nd... cutting down all twelve plants for good... Checking the state of the trichomes... Some, like the red hot cookies (whores or better said semi-whores) were almost optimal for cutting, with milky trichomes and quite a few already amber... however, the others, I would have left for a couple more weeks, maybe... since both the sweetzenzation and the sad were milky and not very crystalline... maybe just one more week.... This week, the cultivation is concluded... and we proceed to the cut.....
